CHAPTER 51

RUBY'S POV

Soon Dax fell asleep and his soft snores filled my ears as he lay beside me, his arms still wrapped around me.

I looked up to watch him, unable to sleep and I smiled at seeing how peaceful he looked in his sleep.

I couldn't stay there in bed for long though, there was another reason why I was in his house and if I didn't use the opportunity to get what I wanted, I might never get another chance again and Dennis would fulfill his threat by telling Dax everything.

Slowly and subtly, I pushed Dax’s arms off me and rolled out of the bed. Then I covered him up with a blanket before making my way to the bathroom where there were two robes hung on the wall.

I grabbed one and placed it close before I stepped under the shower to wash off and when I was done, I cleaned up and made my way back into the room with the robe I wore then I dressed up, arranged my hair with the help of a mirror and picked my phone before I tiptoed out of the room.
