Chapter 104

The sun had just begun to set in the west when a black sedan pulled up in front of the Wilson family home. Anthony got out first, wearing a black hoodie and baseball cap to hide his face. He knocked on the side window.

Sindy, who had been waiting in the lobby, immediately came out; she was now wearing a dark wool coat that covered all the bruises on her arms. The maid assumed the girl was just going out shopping.

“Everything okay?” Anthony whispered.

Sindy nodded and got into the front passenger seat. As soon as the door closed, Anthony stepped on the gas and drove away from the upscale neighborhood.

“Is the warehouse where Nora is being held far out on the outskirts?” Sindy asked, staring at the route on the GPS screen.

“About an hour’s drive,” Anthony replied briefly. “I don’t want to waste time. The longer we wait, the more likely Nora could escape—or do something reckless.”
