BIG WAR AHEAD.
SOREN'S POV. I couldn't get over what happened after the invasion of the rogues in the pack. I had luckily saved Hazel and the pups before they could be eaten by the rogues. The pack had been strangely calm, so calm. Everyone was scared for their lives and recently, my pack members had been sleeping with the lights on as they feared that for the rogues to invade in the day without fear, they could do anything at night. I entered my chamber, and Hazel was glancing at the pack through the window. I studied her first. She had not been so different from the rest of the pack members, she was even worse. She had been silent, distant, and cold; she had only smiled at her pups, and I missed her even though she was closer to me. I went to her, then wrapped my arms around her from behind. She was rigid for a second, then slowly calmed down. "Soren." She spoke softly, "How is it going?" I relaxed my jaw on her shoulder and pecked her neck, "I'm waiting for Gabriel to bring me words." "Your beta?" "Yes." I shoved my nose into the crook of her neck and she slowly tilted her neck further to give me more access to her neck. I inhaled her scent, "I love you, Hazel, a lot." She said nothing, and I didn't care; my love was enough for both of us, and though I knew that she would love me more soon, I knew we were heading somewhere in our relationship. I turned her over to me and pecked her forehead, "I miss you." And slowly dropped my lips to hers. It was not the first time we were kissing, but again, it was different and appealing. My wolf purred and calmed. We just love this woman more than anything in the world. She pulled away after minutes, she was gasping for breath. "I think that should do, for now, we have the rogues to think about before anything." I nodded in understanding. "Yeah." I pecked her lips before letting her go. A knock came on the door, "Come in." Gabriel entered, then bowed to Hazel and me, "Alpha, may I see you for a minute?" I glanced at Hazel, and she looked as if she wanted to know what was going on. "Talk to me with her here, she is the future Luna after all and I will love her here. She should start taking some responsibilities." I smirked at her and she shrugged but quickly sat down on the sofa with me to listen to Gabriel. "You remember that we have been receiving some threats from the rogues, turns out that we are not the only ones with that same issue. I received this letter a few minutes ago," He stretched the letter to me. I read it briefly, and it was all about another pack that was being threatened by the rogues, too, but they hadn't invaded the other pack since the threat began. I nodded for Gabriel to continue the words he was saying, "So, this other pack wants us to come to fight with them, with that, we will be helping them and ourselves. We will free them and ourselves." I nodded, loving the idea, "We will leave ASAP, my pack is already living in fear, we have to restore peace among the people." Gabriel nodded. "Tell me what you want me to do for you alpha, and I will do it." "Gather together able men among the members, those who are willing to fight. Share them into two groups, one will guard the borders all around, while the other will follow me to fight the rogues straightaway." "Okay, alpha. What about me? Am I to go with you or stay?" I thought of it for some time, I knew that if he went with me, he would help a lot, but the wolves here needed someone who would keep on assuring them that all was well. "You will stay here." He bowed, "Okay, alpha." He left. "What about me?" Hazel questioned me immediately after Gabriel left. I chuckled, "Do you think I will leave you behind? Play on." I laughed more. "I thought as much." I got up from the sofa, "Go and get yourself ready with the kids. If the plan goes well, we will only have to spend a month there, but if things change, a couple of months. I'm telling you to know what to pack." "Okay, what about the company?" "Oh, yeah, the company, I forgot about it. Gabriel is staying, so he will be in charge." I left the room, leaving her behind. I went to my office and brought out the letter from my pocket, I dialled the line that was written on the letter. "Hi, this is Soren Gale, alpha of the Crescent Moon pack. Who are you?" I sat in my seat. There was no name of the pack in the help on the letter; it was stated that if we wanted to help, we should call the line. "Hi, Soren, this is Kai, alpha of the Dark Bridge pack. You must have heard about me." I chuckled, "Turn out that I didn't hear much, though I know your pack, I have a friend there," I suddenly dropped the friendliness. "We received your letter and are expecting you soon. I'm a very impatient person, and I get things done without stress. I'm coming with some important people, my fiancée, and two kids. It's better to start thinking of how to make them comfortable in your packhouse if you want us to have a happy business together." I knew that my voice was a little bit harsh, but I didn't care. "Take a chill pill, dude, I get you and they will be comfortable, I assure you." "Cool." I dropped the call. Kai uh? I creased my brows. The name sounded like danger and I hated the feeling it was giving me, but what can I say, I needed him as much as he needed me. I left the study and met up with one of the elders in the hallway, he seemed to be heading to my study. "Alpha," He bowed in greeting, which I nodded to, "I heard from Gabriel that you will be going on a mission away from the pack." "Yes, come with me, there are some things you should know."THE ALPHA IS STRONG.HAZEL'S POV.Fear crept into my heart when I turned to the sound of the guards and saw a rogue standing before me. It looked so ugly, and spit dropped out of the corner of his mouth uncontrollably."Stay back," I warned, as if I had something I was depending on. Whereas, I was dead within me at just the sight of the beast. It reminded me so much of the beast that attacked me when I was leaving the Dark Bridge pack. And I feared. The rogue opened its wide mouth and growled, "You must be the Luna, you have the alpha's scent on you."I pointed my hands at him steadily, ready to run from it in case of any sudden attack.I was studying it, and gently took a step back.It leaned to the floor at took slowly predatory steps towards me, its prey. "Oh, don't tell me you're scared.""You are not worth my fright, rogue." I let him realise. It growled again, "Look around you, you are surrounded, and cannot be saved. You and your little pups will get eaten by us before your alp

ROGUES WANT ALL PACKS.Five years later....HAZEL'S POV.It was a weekend. I sat down on a swing in the playground, watching my pups as they played around with other pups. They had smiles and laughs on their faces, showing how happy they were. They were already growing, they were five years old and their faces were more hunting, though I had learned to accept them like that, they only had the face of their wicked father, they were nothing like him, I will also make sure that they become someone better than him.I stared around the playground, but quickly returned my eyes to the pups.I smiled when I saw them helping each other up from the floor and they ran to me, "Mama, Ryan wants ice cream." Ryder spoke for his brother and I chuckled. "Let's get you both ice cream then.""Yay!"I got hold of their hands and we left for the ice cream shop. Two guards ran after me, "Luna, let's get the ice cream for them. Alpha said you shouldn't be stressed."I glared at them immediately, "Why are y
JOY TO SORROW.HAZEL'S POV.Back in the woods, I was roasting a wild cat's meat that I had killed a minute ago.As I squatted to rekindle the fire, I felt a sharp pain hitting my stomach, just below my navel and it was very sharp. I groaned and caressed that side til the pain eased. I continued with what I was doing and when the meat was cooked enough to my satisfaction, I picked it up from the zinc I was roasting on and took a bite. The pain returned, more deadly than I let go of the meat to hold my baby bump, "Ah!" My voice echoed throughout the woods, but I didn't care, the pain was too much to care.I felt some liquid rolling down from my legs, and I understood what was wrong with me immediately, 'My pups were coming!' I tried to stand up on my feet as I held the arms of the chair I was sitting on. I stood.I turned towards my little hut but stopped on my track because of the person I saw leaning on the tree beside the hut. He had a smirk plastered on his lips. I frowned at
A CHANGE TO STAY STRONG.HAZEL'S POV.It was a bright morning. My head ached, my body burned, and my heart was already in pieces. I groaned and tried to get up from the bed.Wait, did I say bed?I became alerted immediately, and rolled off, ignoring all my pains. The last thing I remembered was walking through the woods and getting attacked by some beasts and the rest was blurry. 'What happened after that? Was I saved? By who?'Somehow, I was scared, thinking that I was back in the pack house.Tears trickled down my cheeks and I cringed. I began to think of the pain I would have to endure again. All over again. I hugged my body and shook in great pain.Coldness enveloped me, and I rushed to the wall for comfort. I crouched and cried bitterly. My breathing began to rag as the door opened.I immediately took my face between my hands, thinking it would be either Kai or Vera when I knew that they might be around to punish me. I wanted to question them about what they wanted, but they
FOUND TO BE DEAD.KAI'S POV.Days after Hazel's departure...My eyes were on Vera who was lying beside me, she was asleep while I thought."When is she coming back? It's been a few days already. Don't tell me that she was not planning on returning. Who will I vent my anger on anytime I'm mad? Who will take my shit? How will Vera be comfortable here without her?"I snorted, "She was supposed to be Vera's maid now and be my slave. She was supposed to become a wreck now that she found out about Vera and me, but I foolishly allowed her to leave. How stupid is that?" My thought was messed up by Hazel's departure. She left as bargained but had not returned as I thought, and a few days had passed. What was holding her back?I couldn't sleep a wink, I was filled with regret. Great regret.I was almost tempted to leave the pack house to search for her.Kyle, my wolf, was not making it any better. He had been strangely silent since Hazel left. I didn't care about him, though. he was just sharin
