LOGINBIG WAR AHEAD.
SOREN'S POV. I couldn't get over what happened after the invasion of the rogues in the pack. I had luckily saved Hazel and the pups before they could be eaten by the rogues. The pack had been strangely calm, so calm. Everyone was scared for their lives and recently, my pack members had been sleeping with the lights on as they feared that for the rogues to invade in the day without fear, they could do anything at night. I entered my chamber, and Hazel was glancing at the pack through the window. I studied her first. She had not been so different from the rest of the pack members, she was even worse. She had been silent, distant, and cold; she had only smiled at her pups, and I missed her even though she was closer to me. I went to her, then wrapped my arms around her from behind. She was rigid for a second, then slowly calmed down. "Soren." She spoke softly, "How is it going?" I relaxed my jaw on her shoulder and pecked her neck, "I'm waiting for Gabriel to bring me words." "Your beta?" "Yes." I shoved my nose into the crook of her neck and she slowly tilted her neck further to give me more access to her neck. I inhaled her scent, "I love you, Hazel, a lot." She said nothing, and I didn't care; my love was enough for both of us, and though I knew that she would love me more soon, I knew we were heading somewhere in our relationship. I turned her over to me and pecked her forehead, "I miss you." And slowly dropped my lips to hers. It was not the first time we were kissing, but again, it was different and appealing. My wolf purred and calmed. We just love this woman more than anything in the world. She pulled away after minutes, she was gasping for breath. "I think that should do, for now, we have the rogues to think about before anything." I nodded in understanding. "Yeah." I pecked her lips before letting her go. A knock came on the door, "Come in." Gabriel entered, then bowed to Hazel and me, "Alpha, may I see you for a minute?" I glanced at Hazel, and she looked as if she wanted to know what was going on. "Talk to me with her here, she is the future Luna after all and I will love her here. She should start taking some responsibilities." I smirked at her and she shrugged but quickly sat down on the sofa with me to listen to Gabriel. "You remember that we have been receiving some threats from the rogues, turns out that we are not the only ones with that same issue. I received this letter a few minutes ago," He stretched the letter to me. I read it briefly, and it was all about another pack that was being threatened by the rogues, too, but they hadn't invaded the other pack since the threat began. I nodded for Gabriel to continue the words he was saying, "So, this other pack wants us to come to fight with them, with that, we will be helping them and ourselves. We will free them and ourselves." I nodded, loving the idea, "We will leave ASAP, my pack is already living in fear, we have to restore peace among the people." Gabriel nodded. "Tell me what you want me to do for you alpha, and I will do it." "Gather together able men among the members, those who are willing to fight. Share them into two groups, one will guard the borders all around, while the other will follow me to fight the rogues straightaway." "Okay, alpha. What about me? Am I to go with you or stay?" I thought of it for some time, I knew that if he went with me, he would help a lot, but the wolves here needed someone who would keep on assuring them that all was well. "You will stay here." He bowed, "Okay, alpha." He left. "What about me?" Hazel questioned me immediately after Gabriel left. I chuckled, "Do you think I will leave you behind? Play on." I laughed more. "I thought as much." I got up from the sofa, "Go and get yourself ready with the kids. If the plan goes well, we will only have to spend a month there, but if things change, a couple of months. I'm telling you to know what to pack." "Okay, what about the company?" "Oh, yeah, the company, I forgot about it. Gabriel is staying, so he will be in charge." I left the room, leaving her behind. I went to my office and brought out the letter from my pocket, I dialled the line that was written on the letter. "Hi, this is Soren Gale, alpha of the Crescent Moon pack. Who are you?" I sat in my seat. There was no name of the pack in the help on the letter; it was stated that if we wanted to help, we should call the line. "Hi, Soren, this is Kai, alpha of the Dark Bridge pack. You must have heard about me." I chuckled, "Turn out that I didn't hear much, though I know your pack, I have a friend there," I suddenly dropped the friendliness. "We received your letter and are expecting you soon. I'm a very impatient person, and I get things done without stress. I'm coming with some important people, my fiancée, and two kids. It's better to start thinking of how to make them comfortable in your packhouse if you want us to have a happy business together." I knew that my voice was a little bit harsh, but I didn't care. "Take a chill pill, dude, I get you and they will be comfortable, I assure you." "Cool." I dropped the call. Kai uh? I creased my brows. The name sounded like danger and I hated the feeling it was giving me, but what can I say, I needed him as much as he needed me. I left the study and met up with one of the elders in the hallway, he seemed to be heading to my study. "Alpha," He bowed in greeting, which I nodded to, "I heard from Gabriel that you will be going on a mission away from the pack." "Yes, come with me, there are some things you should know."NO, NOT THE END.AUTHOR'S POV.The party had kicked off and everything was going as planned. Hazel, with the maidens with her, had stood by the hall in a car, waiting for the right moment to enter the hall with her bouquet of jasmine in hand, being the only bright colour on her.Hazel looked relaxed in the car, though she was not. She was so tense, and her shoulders were vibrating inside her.She was more nervous than she was the first time she got married, and her grip on the wrapped stems of the flowers was tight."I will go to the hall and keep an eye until the bride is called in." One of the maidens volunteered and the others waited with Hazel. In the hall, Kai had said it to the MC that a few changes had been made in the ceremony booklet. Now, it had to be the wedding before the coronation.Everywhere was well arranged and two of the priests in the moon goddess's shrine were available in front.Silver lights were illuminating around the hall, and all the decorations were of silve
HAPPY WITH THE END.AUTHOR'S POV.This was a day that had been long planned by everyone in the Pack, the day the alpha was getting married to his mate whom he had rejected and regretted a marriage with, the day the alpha was ready to reconsummate their vows, and this time, he was more than ready to put the vows into consideration. But was the other party ready?Hazel was in the room getting dressed up by three maidens. The maidens' hands moved around so fast that it showed that they knew exactly what they were doing, and this was something they had done a lot of times in the past. They were experts in making over their clients."Is Luna fully dressed? The gown is ready to be worn." One of the women who designed Hazel's dress said and with the dress in her hands."Just a little more wait." One of the maidens replied. They pulled a plate of black stones towards Hazel on her seat, and slowly, a few of the stones were arranged and glued on her face, forming a crescent moon on her cheekbon
HAPPY TO NOT HAPPY.HAZEL'S POV.It took minutes and though I did not want to let go of Soren, I had to let him go. I cupped his cheeks with my hands and looked at his face, "You look so sick.""You don't have to worry about me, I am fine. This is not the worst place on earth. I have been to worse places, and see, I am fine." He tried to sound cheerful and without a worry, but I couldn't help but worry about him.I knew he was not fine.My gaze locked in his dead ones, and with my emotions uncontrollably, I said to him. "Can you please promise me that you will be fine? I don't want to lose you."That was when some emotions began to appear in his eyes. Hurt. Pain. Sadness, and maybe a little of gladness. Seeing him showing he was in pain got me hugging him back again."I put you through all these things, I am so sorry.""You don't have to apologise, I let you down first."My tears began to drop from my eyes, and mere thinking of what I had to do so that Soren would not have to suffer a
UNHIDDEN EMOTIONS.KAI'S POV.Now, I knew I had to be very careful with Haze as she already had a wolf and she could control it, maybe not perfectly, but with the way her growl sounded, I could tell that she had a future full of strength and authority. All she needed was a little training to boost herself out. But it was also dangerous, if she was pushed too much and she forced herself to be strong, her wolf might become a rogue, and in no way was that okay. She would become like her father, and I would suffer it.Therefore as it stands, I had to do everything in my power to make sure she goes through the normal way. That included my character. I had to keep my cool.....It was the time I set aside for us to visit Soren, and tomorrow would be our wedding.I was so excited about the wedding, and even when it looked like I was the only one who was happy, I didn't mind. It was good enough that someone among everyone in the family was happy.I quickly went to Hazel's chamber to get her,
NO RESPECT AT ALL.HAZEL'S POV.I didn't want to get attached like I was, not to Kai, not to my children. They all had disappointed me enough. What I thought would be impossible had been made possible by them.I thought my children could not live a day without me, therefore, I put my happiness aside for them, so that we could all live together. But I was wrong, they chose their irresponsible father over me.I had been ignoring them because I didn't know what could happen on the day after tomorrow, the day of the wedding. I was only planning things for that day, but after that day, I didn't know. So, to save myself, I had to stay away from the people who hurt me."Mama, we are sorry." My children apologised.I looked at them, "Why are you apologizing? Didn't your father tell you that you did nothing wrong?"They said nothing to my words, only guiltily looking at the floor like it was interesting.I looked up to one of the people around me and said to her, "Take the pups to the designer
WEDDING PREPARATION.AUTHOR'S POV.With just two days to prepare for the wedding of the alpha, the Pack had been busy and Hazel was the most packed out of them all.Her chamber was packed with people, so she had no space to freely move around. She was sitting down on a sofa with some people trying to pen down her desire about the type of celebration she wanted, "Luna, what colour do you fancy?" One of them asked her."Aren't we supposed to be talking about the type of wedding she wants? Maybe elaborated on one or one of a few people?" Another one of the wedding planners argued with her partner.Hazel saw that they both might want to bring out issues where there was no issue, so she quickly cut into their words. "No fighting, I'll answer both."The planners glared at each other. Both wanted to be favoured by the Luna, but Hazel here noticed nothing."First, for your question," She said to the second lady, causing her to smile, "Since the first time I got married to the alpha, it was do
