LOGINJOY TO SORROW.
HAZEL'S POV. Back in the woods, I was roasting a wild cat's meat that I had killed a minute ago. As I squatted to rekindle the fire, I felt a sharp pain hitting my stomach, just below my navel and it was very sharp. I groaned and caressed that side til the pain eased. I continued with what I was doing and when the meat was cooked enough to my satisfaction, I picked it up from the zinc I was roasting on and took a bite. The pain returned, more deadly than I let go of the meat to hold my baby bump, "Ah!" My voice echoed throughout the woods, but I didn't care, the pain was too much to care. I felt some liquid rolling down from my legs, and I understood what was wrong with me immediately, 'My pups were coming!' I tried to stand up on my feet as I held the arms of the chair I was sitting on. I stood. I turned towards my little hut but stopped on my track because of the person I saw leaning on the tree beside the hut. He had a smirk plastered on his lips. I frowned at him, "What are you doing here? What do you want?" I wanted to question him angrily to show that he was not welcome but the pain in my stomach was biting, "Ah!" He rushed over to me, "Hey, are you okay?" "Do I look like I am?" I snapped at him, with pain in my heart. "No, definitely, but guess it's your lucky day, I'm with some midwives, who have been waiting impatiently for this day." I had no time to think of his words, "Let me help." I let him help me to the hut and the midwives came in. There were five of them. "You don't have to panic, we will help you to birth them." They assured me. I would have loved to snap at them to get to work immediately, but the pain I was in was a bitch, it just was unbearable, and I was feeling the babies trying to force themselves out. It was a hellish feeling. They raised my gown and removed my panties, "Now, try to push." That was a bad start because when I pushed, I felt one hell of a pain, it was as if my inner body was tearing itself apart and it was sharp tears. "Ah!" My agony was all over the place. "Please, push." I tried and pushed again, more tears came and by now, I was sure that the bed would be tasting some of my blood from the tears from my lower body. "Harder!" I didn't listen to that. I just wanted to stand up from that bed and leave there to hide, the pain was unbearable. "Please, lady, you have to push." They persuaded. "Your babies won't survive hours in there if you don't push them out." Another spoke up. That triggered something in me and I pushed very hard this time with a louder shout and my eyes almost popping out of their sockets because of how hard I pushed myself. "Oh! It's a boy!" That noise brought me back. A boy! My boy! I calmed down as I felt darkness enveloping me, and I was even too tired to ask of my pup. "Ma'am, no." I felt some harsh spanking on my lap, "There is one left, you can't sleep now." My head almost busted, one left? No. I knew that my babies were two, but I wished that they had both pulled out at once; the pain must have been one and for all. "Ma'am." "I can't." My voice was low and weak. "Get the alpha here immediately, she might lose her life." I heard some rushing sounds. Next thing, I felt my head being raised from the bed, he put it on his lap, and then he drove his fingers into my hair, and began to caress my scalp, "You're stronger than you think, Hazel." I opened my weak eyes to stare at him, he smiled softly in reassurance, "You have to bring the other one to the world too, it won't be fair to leave him/her behind. Come on." My eyes produced new balls of tears, and I held onto his hands, "I hate him." I cried louder. "I know." He replied to me. "I swear I hate him so much and if I see him, I will kill him." With that said, I shut my eyes in pain and pushed as hard as I could with my heart bleeding painfully. I will kill Kai if I ever see him again. ________ I woke up and the first thing I noticed was the environment I was in, I jumped up immediately, "My babies!" My hands flew to my stomach, but there was no movement in it anymore, though it still had a little bump, and I was feeling so sore all over. A chuckle from someone distracted me, and I turned to see the alpha. He was with one of the pups as he walked closer to me, "Welcome back to earth, how was your journey to the afterlife?" He joked and gave the child to me. I ignored his words, solemnly focusing on the baby. Tears built in my eyes immediately I saw the child, it was as if I was meant to suffer all my life. "No!" I cried more and gave him back to the alpha immediately in pain and fright, as if the baby burned me. The pup looked exactly like Kai, no difference at all, and the face was bringing my pain back. I held my hair and scattered it about, "Take him away from me!" I shouted. "I don't understand, why the drama? Nothing happened to the child, they are both perfectly fine. You get to see the other, he is more beautiful." I raised my head immediately and calmed down, hoping that he would look like me. "Where is the other?" "Bring the other pup." The other was a boy as well, and he was brought forth. I was scared to carry the child, but I eventually did. I glanced at him and I felt my life leaving me, it was as if Kai just barfed him out of his mouth, he was nothing different from him. I understood immediately that I would not know peace, just pain. "No!" My hands shook, and the pup slipped out of my grip, crying. "Hazel, stop!"NO, NOT THE END.AUTHOR'S POV.The party had kicked off and everything was going as planned. Hazel, with the maidens with her, had stood by the hall in a car, waiting for the right moment to enter the hall with her bouquet of jasmine in hand, being the only bright colour on her.Hazel looked relaxed in the car, though she was not. She was so tense, and her shoulders were vibrating inside her.She was more nervous than she was the first time she got married, and her grip on the wrapped stems of the flowers was tight."I will go to the hall and keep an eye until the bride is called in." One of the maidens volunteered and the others waited with Hazel. In the hall, Kai had said it to the MC that a few changes had been made in the ceremony booklet. Now, it had to be the wedding before the coronation.Everywhere was well arranged and two of the priests in the moon goddess's shrine were available in front.Silver lights were illuminating around the hall, and all the decorations were of silve
HAPPY WITH THE END.AUTHOR'S POV.This was a day that had been long planned by everyone in the Pack, the day the alpha was getting married to his mate whom he had rejected and regretted a marriage with, the day the alpha was ready to reconsummate their vows, and this time, he was more than ready to put the vows into consideration. But was the other party ready?Hazel was in the room getting dressed up by three maidens. The maidens' hands moved around so fast that it showed that they knew exactly what they were doing, and this was something they had done a lot of times in the past. They were experts in making over their clients."Is Luna fully dressed? The gown is ready to be worn." One of the women who designed Hazel's dress said and with the dress in her hands."Just a little more wait." One of the maidens replied. They pulled a plate of black stones towards Hazel on her seat, and slowly, a few of the stones were arranged and glued on her face, forming a crescent moon on her cheekbon
HAPPY TO NOT HAPPY.HAZEL'S POV.It took minutes and though I did not want to let go of Soren, I had to let him go. I cupped his cheeks with my hands and looked at his face, "You look so sick.""You don't have to worry about me, I am fine. This is not the worst place on earth. I have been to worse places, and see, I am fine." He tried to sound cheerful and without a worry, but I couldn't help but worry about him.I knew he was not fine.My gaze locked in his dead ones, and with my emotions uncontrollably, I said to him. "Can you please promise me that you will be fine? I don't want to lose you."That was when some emotions began to appear in his eyes. Hurt. Pain. Sadness, and maybe a little of gladness. Seeing him showing he was in pain got me hugging him back again."I put you through all these things, I am so sorry.""You don't have to apologise, I let you down first."My tears began to drop from my eyes, and mere thinking of what I had to do so that Soren would not have to suffer a
UNHIDDEN EMOTIONS.KAI'S POV.Now, I knew I had to be very careful with Haze as she already had a wolf and she could control it, maybe not perfectly, but with the way her growl sounded, I could tell that she had a future full of strength and authority. All she needed was a little training to boost herself out. But it was also dangerous, if she was pushed too much and she forced herself to be strong, her wolf might become a rogue, and in no way was that okay. She would become like her father, and I would suffer it.Therefore as it stands, I had to do everything in my power to make sure she goes through the normal way. That included my character. I had to keep my cool.....It was the time I set aside for us to visit Soren, and tomorrow would be our wedding.I was so excited about the wedding, and even when it looked like I was the only one who was happy, I didn't mind. It was good enough that someone among everyone in the family was happy.I quickly went to Hazel's chamber to get her,
NO RESPECT AT ALL.HAZEL'S POV.I didn't want to get attached like I was, not to Kai, not to my children. They all had disappointed me enough. What I thought would be impossible had been made possible by them.I thought my children could not live a day without me, therefore, I put my happiness aside for them, so that we could all live together. But I was wrong, they chose their irresponsible father over me.I had been ignoring them because I didn't know what could happen on the day after tomorrow, the day of the wedding. I was only planning things for that day, but after that day, I didn't know. So, to save myself, I had to stay away from the people who hurt me."Mama, we are sorry." My children apologised.I looked at them, "Why are you apologizing? Didn't your father tell you that you did nothing wrong?"They said nothing to my words, only guiltily looking at the floor like it was interesting.I looked up to one of the people around me and said to her, "Take the pups to the designer
WEDDING PREPARATION.AUTHOR'S POV.With just two days to prepare for the wedding of the alpha, the Pack had been busy and Hazel was the most packed out of them all.Her chamber was packed with people, so she had no space to freely move around. She was sitting down on a sofa with some people trying to pen down her desire about the type of celebration she wanted, "Luna, what colour do you fancy?" One of them asked her."Aren't we supposed to be talking about the type of wedding she wants? Maybe elaborated on one or one of a few people?" Another one of the wedding planners argued with her partner.Hazel saw that they both might want to bring out issues where there was no issue, so she quickly cut into their words. "No fighting, I'll answer both."The planners glared at each other. Both wanted to be favoured by the Luna, but Hazel here noticed nothing."First, for your question," She said to the second lady, causing her to smile, "Since the first time I got married to the alpha, it was do
