Chapter 2: Morning Mistake

"Boss?" She was truly stunned.

She looked forward again, didn't dare to make a sound, in fear of waking up the man that was still sleeping soundly.

The comforter was only covering his lower body, revealing his sexy chest and his bulging six-pack abs. Any woman who saw it would surely turn insane. Kathleen was no exception, yet the pain that she felt down there was enough to stop her venereal desire.

"No... It can't be. I must be mistaken. It's not boss..." she murmured in denial. She glanced at him again and once again was sure it was him. Yet, her mind still couldn't accept the fact.

"He probably had a twin brother. Or maybe it was just someone else who looks like him," she began to create some unreasonable excuses to support her negation.

Her eyes suddenly caught sight of a man's wallet on the bedside table. She took it immediately and checked the identity card of the owner. That wallet must belong to the man on the bed, she was sure of it.

Her heart went despair when she read the name on the identity card. 'Aaron Castell'. Indeed, the man was really her boss. No denying it now.

"I'm doomed..." Kathleen felt like she was about to cry.

She just worked at Aeroxx Corporation owned by Aaron Castell for two months now. Her contract was for two years. There was no way she would be able to submit her resignation letter any sooner now since she won't be able to pay the fine if she breach her contract. She was really at her wit's end.

She quickly rolled out from the bed and let her body fall slowly to the floor. Like a culprit, she crawled on the floor to collect all her clothes. She quickly put them on one by one in a flash. When she had fully dressed again, she regained back her footing and tiptoeing out from the bedroom.

"Where do you think you're going? You need to compensate me," A domineering voice came from behind her.

Kathleen got halted instantly. She furrowed and her head slowly turned around to peek at her boss. He was now sitting on the bed with his manhood under the cover. He chuckled when he saw her timid reaction. He pulled up the cover to get off the bed but then realized that he was without a single strand. Thus, he stayed on the bed and scanned around the room to find his pants.

"Honey, can you take my pants down there?" He caught sight of his pants on the floor and pointed at it.

'Honey? Honey? Never in a million years would I ever imagine that my arrogant indifferent boss, Aaron Castell, would call me honey...' Kathleen was momentarily stunned with her mouth gaped. She thought she misheard him. She stared at him in disbelief as if waiting for him to repeat his words.

"Honey, what are you waiting for? My pants. There," he spoke domineeringly asking her to take his pants again.

Feeling flustered, Kathleen quickly took his pants and gave them to him. 'He did call me honey,' she was still in bafflement. Her eyes fixed at him like he was an art masterpiece.

Aaron tried to put on his pants but it was too hard for his legs to go through the holes when he was sitting on the bed. Thus, he wanted to stand up but the woman kept staring at him.

"Would you mind?" He said and gestured his hand, instructing her to turn around.

"Oh, of course," Kathleen was startled and quickly turned. She blushed in embarrassment at the situation.

Getting a glance of her pink cheeks that was blushing, Aaron chuckled again.

"You'd seen it enough last night already," he teased her.

'Did I?' Kathleen wondered. Yet, she didn't remember any of it.

"But you probably won't remember anything," Aaron added as if able to read her mind.

He went around her and picked up his shirt on the floor. He slowly put it on and buttoned up the shirt in front of her, deliberately giving her a chance to see his sexy chest.

"Am I right?" He asked flirtatiously.

"About what?" Kathleen was confused. Her mind wandered somewhere else just now, she didn't fully grasp what he meant.

"Did you remember anything from last night?"

"I..." She lost for words and just shook her head lightly.

"That's too bad," he said. Then, he leaned forward and whispered at her ear, "Because I remembered everything."

Her eyes widened and she could feel her heart was about to burst. Kathleen quickly knelt down on the floor and rubbed her palms together, bowing down to him to ask for forgiveness.

"I'm sorry, Mr Castell. It's my fault. I'll take responsibility for it and submit my resignation letter on Monday immediately."

"What are you talking about? I'm not firing you. Get up now," he replied while tidying up his shirt, buttoning his sleeves.

"You not?" Kathleen was perplexed. 'Did he not get mad for what happened last night?' She pondered.

"You haven't compensated me yet, but you already thinking of running away?"

Kathleen was agitated by his words. 'What kind of compensation that he wants?' Her heart was troubled by it. It felt like a big boulder was just being thrown on her shoulder.

"Stay for a while. We'll have breakfast. If you want to take a shower, you are welcome to use the bathroom. You got a bit sweaty last night," he teased her again, emphasizing the word 'sweaty' and giving her a wink.

'What's wrong with my boss? He never acted this friendly before,' Kathleen still couldn't get used to that situation. She stood there motionlessly like a statue and her eyes followed Aaron's every movement.

The man picked up the hotel telephone on the bedside table and called room service.

"Room service. How can I help you, Sir?"

"Please send two sets of breakfast meals to the Royal Suite."

"Royal Suite? Oh, right away, Mr Castell."

Aaron put down the phone and turned around only to see Kathleen still standing there behind him with her empty expression.

"You're not going to the bathroom?" He asked. The woman shook her head vigorously.

"Okay then," he walked out of the bedroom and went to the living area of the suite. He took a few company files and landed his bottom on the sofa.

Kathleen was still inside the bedroom and she peeked through the door, looking at her boss who sat leisurely while reading some report from the file. 'How can he act as if nothing happened?' She was cringed by the situation. She intended to leave the suite earlier but now that her boss had woken up, she couldn't possibly just go out without his permission.

"Kathleen, come here," the man's domineering voice was calling her again.

"Yes, Mr Castell," she replied politely and ran hastily to him.

"Sit," He pointed to the sofa in front of him and Kathleen sat there immediately.

"Let's talk about last night, shall we?" He gazed at her with expectant eyes.

'Last night? Oh my gosh, I'm not ready for this,' she showed a resisting gaze.

"The man that was sitting by your side at the party last night, do you know him?" He started the topic even without getting her approval.
