003. Regret Loosing Her

EZRA…..

“I still don't understand why you did this, Ezra? You were in an extra marital affair with my sister and made her pregnant? When I came to know this I really wanted to beat you. I agree that she was your first Mate. But you can't just cheat on our beautiful, kind hearted Luna. Even though Raya is my sister, I would never allow her to ruin Luna's life like this.” Raden was in my office to argue with me.

It's been two weeks but we were so busy with the pack matters we hardly got time to talk.

“Look, Beta Raden. I don't think I'm bound to explain my personal relationship with you. I don't interfere with your personal life so stay out of my personal life.” He let out a scoff.

“Huh! Personal life. When your personal life is affecting the whole pack it doesn't stay as personal it becomes a national matter. After Luna left everything was messed up.” He yelled at me and I raised my brow at him.

“Watch your tone, Beta Raden. You are talking to your Alpha.” He pressed his lips together.

“And once I announce Raya as the Luna everything will be fine.” I have been keeping my divorce and my relationship with Raya secret. Viviana was the pack's favourite even though my sister and Mother never liked her. Everyone else respected her as their Mother. If they come to know that she's no longer their Luna they will be sad.

“No one will accept her as Luna. Not even me. She's not Luna material.” I looked up at him.

“Is she your step sister? Or did your parents find her from the woods? How can you talk about your sister like that? Don't forget you are her brother. Have you ever thought how she will feel when she comes to know what you think about her? Respect her. She's the Mother of my child. I will not tolerate it if you insult my future Luna.”

I was amused to see him laughing. “Really? Very good.” The sarcastic look of his face morphed into a serious one.

“I know very well you were in love with Viviana. Then why did you reject her and choose my sister? Is it because Viviana failed to give you a child?” Raiden slammed his palms on the wooden desk before me, making everything on the table fly. But I stayed calm.

“You know very well that we need an heir of the pack. What I did was for the sake of this Pack only.” He scoffed at my words.

“If you would have told me that you are going to reject her then I would have tried my luck. She's so beautiful and you know I have always had a crush on her since our childhood but she was always head over heels for you and never gave me a lift….”

“Don't you dare to pursue her. I will forget that you are my beta and kill you with my bare hands.” I growled at him and to my surprise he laughed, throwing his head back.

“Look at you, Alpha. You are still so possessive of her when you have already rejected her. I will not try to pursue her but what if someone else tries? She's single, beautiful, sophisticated, well mannered, everything a man wants in their woman. She will not live her life alone hugging your memories. She will definitely marry someone else…..” I threw the paperweight at him and he easily dodged it.

“Shut your fucking mouth, Raven. Or I will rip off your tongue.” I barked at him and he raised his hands in surrender.

“You know, you have fucked up your life by making this decision and mark my words, you will regret for sure.” Saying that he walked out of the room. I threw the glass at him but he had already closed the door and the glass hit the closed door and shattered on the floor.

“Fuck!” I slammed my fist on the table in anger.

My life has always been complicated. Everyone thought Raya and I will be a couple as we look beautiful together. But our couple was nothing compared to Viviana and I. We look like a match made in heaven together.

Everyone thought I loved Raya. But the love of my life has always been Viviana. I have loved her since our childhood and always wished she would be my Mate. Everything was going right until one night when we were celebrating New Year Eve in the cottage behind the house suddenly the house caught on fire.

We saved most of the kids and sent them out safely but the smoke was too much that got into my lungs. I was coughing and suddenly I found myself surrounded by fire, not having any way to leave the place. My vision got blurred and I fell unconscious.

I was half conscious and half unconscious when someone came to rescue me. It was a girl. She was tapping my cheek to wake me up. But my condition was so weak that I couldn't see who saved me. I just heard her voice.

The next day when I gained consciousness I came to know it was Raya who saved me. And while saving me she injured her back. An Almirah fell on her back. She risked her life to save my life so I decided that day I will devote this life to her. I always knew she loved me. That's why she didn't even think before jumping into the fire to save me.

In the Mating ball I got to know that Viviana was my fated Mate. Selena had listened to my prayers and blessed me with Viviana as my destined Mate. But I was unlucky. I had already vowed to make Raya as my Mate. Viviana was one year younger than me so she couldn't feel our bond so I announced that Raya was my destined Mate.

In the Mating Ceremony when I was about to crown her as my Luna she got kidnapped on her way to the packhouse. I used all my sources to find her but failed to find her. But I never lose hope and keep searching for her.

One year later Viviana claimed me as her Mate in front of everyone. I didn't know if I should be happy or sad. Everyone thought she was my second chance Mate, but little did they know I had tricked them back then saying Raya was my destined Mate. While from the start Viviana was my only Mate.

I married Viviana and made her my Luna. But I didn't stop looking for Raya. She was my savior so I couldn't turn a blind eye towards her when someone kidnapped her because of me. Why would she be kidnapped in the first place? Whoever was behind it thought Raya was my weakness and they could use her against me.

Though I had married Viviana, I kept her away from me. I had decided to divorce her once I found Raya. I didn't plan to consummate the marriage but how long you can stay away from a forbidden fruit when you stay under the same roof. How can you not have a bite from that fruit? My love for her made it difficult for me to resist her and she never failed to show her feelings for me.

Before I realised it, we were a real couple. But the problem was even though we tried our best to conceive a child we failed. One day I found Raya’s location and rescued her from there. But that day I came to know something else which shook me to the core.

I made a foolproof plan. I was forced to divorce Viviana to keep her safe. But I didn't think she would reject me. I was shocked that she didn't even try to fight to get me. She easily gave up.

As if she was waiting for the opportunity to get rid of me. Nothing goes as per my plan and everything messes up. I thought, I'll make everything right once the chaos ends. I will explain everything to her and I believe she will forgive me.

I was lost when I heard the door open. “What the hell? Don't you know how to knock?” I hollered at the intruder and saw Gamma Daniel storming into the study room, seething in rage.

He slammed his palms on the wooden desk making everything fly. His eyes were blazing with fire. I have never seen him so angry in my entire life.

“How can you do this to my sister? you didn't even feel the need to inform me that you had divorced my sister and rejected her. I was busy with border matters and no one felt the need to inform me of anything, what was happening in the pack. All of you kept me in the dark. You betrayed me, Alpha Ezra. You betrayed me when I devoted all my life for the pack only.”

Daniel yelled at me looking right into my eyes. And I could see how his eyes were blazing with fire. Viviana was the apple of his eyes. I could feel how he must be feeling right now.

Yeah! He was right, I didn't tell him anything. But I thought his sister might have told him what happened to her. What about his parents? Why didn't they tell him anything?

“I admit, I didn't tell you about it. Then why didn't your parents tell you anything?” I retorted back furiously and he let out a bitter chuckle.

“They would tell me only if they knew it themselves. They have no idea about it. She did not return home after leaving this damn house of yours. And we have no idea where she is now.” His words felt like thunder on my head. It sent a brusque bolt of shock right through me. What is he saying? How can she leave the pack?

I had messed up everything. I didn't involve her in my plan because I was afraid she would get hurt. So I decided to keep her out of it. Once everything settles down I will explain everything to her. Viviana was the most understanding person. I knew; she would forgive me once I explained everything to her. I need to find her, explain, and everything would go back to normal.

I opened my mouth to say something when Beta Raven barged into the room followed by Doctor Starla. “Raven, give the file back to me.” Starla was trying to snatch a file from Raven's hand but he handed it to me.

“You need to see this, Ezra.”

“Raven, you are an asshole. How can you give that to Alpha Ezra? Client’s privacy is not a joke.” She yelled at him and came to take the file from my hand.

“Alpha Ezra. Please give the file back to me.” She held out her hand asking for the file.

“Your client is his wife.” Beta Raven retorted.

“Are you talking about Viviana?” Daniel asked Starla who looked pale.

“Please don't misunderstand, Daniel. I will explain it to you later.” She was pleading with him with her eyes. And Danial just snatched the file from my hand. Starla looked as if her soul left her body and she squeezed her eyes shut.

Daniel opened the file and scanned the papers. His eyes went wide in shock and he looked at me and the. Shifted his gaze towards his Mate.

“Viviana is pregnant!” I felt like the sky fell on my head with his words.

“Viviana is pregnant with my child?” I asked Starla and she looked down while nodding her head. I stumbled back, not able to take the shock. Why didn't she tell me?

‘She wanted to tell you. But you just threw a divorce papers and pregnancy report of another Woman on her face. How did you expect her to tell you after what you did to her? You deserve this.’ My wolf snapped at me. He was always against the idea of me divorcing Viviana.

I messed up everything.

“Look for her everywhere. I want my wife back at any cost.” I ordered them and both Beta and Gamma rushed outside.
