Chapter 14

This hell-like dinner had been toying with Mina's emotions. She just felt lighter because of what her tutor had said but her uncle's harsh words were too painful to carry.

'Did you really need to bring up my family here? Have you already lost respect for my dad? If my brother's here, he wouldn't allow you to insult our dad like how you did.' Mina had been forcing her tears not to come out.

Mr. Yoo rested his wrinkled hands on the table, he felt like his remaining strength had left his body. Gloom fell on his face. But all these sudden changes were unnoticed as his family didn't seem affected by Mr. Joe's disrespectful insult towards his eldest son, Dan. His eyes started to get teary while looking at his sons and their family. The smiles on their faces tightened his heart.

'Be strong, Mina.. at least in front of them. Don't let them win by seeing you cry.' Mina kept motivating herself to appear she's totally fine.
