Chapter 6

Kian parked the car and showed Pil his phone.

Location tracked: Buzz Club, VIP Lounge 5

"Nice!" Pil said, rolling up his sleeves.

Kian got out of the car first and walked calmly to the club. As soon as he showed his VVIP card, the big men in suit bowed to him. "Welcome, sir."

He entered Buzz Club. The blasting electronic dance music along with the colorful party lights filled the crowded club hall. There were so many people going crazy over the dance floor. The DJ, who was excitedly mixing EDM, was on the elevated stage. It was definitely a fire Friday.

Kian went straight to the dim corner where an empty couch sat near the cocktail bar.

He threw his coat to the table and sat down. His hand loosened his tie.

Women's eyes could not resist throwing him flirtatious stare.

"A strong beer for a handsome teacher." A cold bottle of beer was served in front of him.

Pil winked at him. He was already wearing Buzz staff uniform. He sat across him.

Kian leaned forward and met Pil at the eye level. "Game?"

Pil's mischievous eyes glinted. "You're on fire tonight. Take it easy."

"Of course. I've waited for this." Kian smirked.

VIP Lounge 5.

"You said we would eat at sushi restaurant."

Jay moved beside Jessie and put his face closely to her ear. "You knew this is a club, but you still came inside. What does that mean?"

Jessie pushed him. "Because you forced me to."

"So, that's my fault?" Jay gave her a mischievous smile.

She stood up. "I got to go."

Jay's hand stopped her from leaving. His guy friends just kept drinking.

He made Jessie sit down again. The girl did.

"Come on, Jessie. It's Friday night, let's have some fun!" It was Mark who was very excited.

Shin added. "Don't worry. We won't get caught."

"Jay's dad is influential. We got his back!" Ric proudly smiled.

"I can sue you! This is harassment!" She shouted, her eyes got teary. She began to tremble.

Jay put his arm around her shoulders. "But we can make a new story. My dad can bribe even the highest government official."

His guy friends laughed.

Jay's threat hushed Jessie.

"A minor female student enters Buzz Club with four good looking guys and rents a VIP lounge. Oh! That's a good headline! It will surely anger your entertainment agency." Ric mocked Jessie more.

"And worse is.. bye bye dream career!"

The guys laughed again. Their devilish laughs were tormenting Jessie. Her tears came out rushing.

"Oh, my baby is crying." Jay said in a loving voice.

He wiped Jessie's tears and offered her a cold beer. "Drink this. It will calm you."

"I.. d..don't d..drink." Jessie refused, his voice was shaky.

Jay leaned his head on her shoulder. "But from now, you will drink."

He put the glass of beer near Jessie's lips.

The door suddenly opened.

Pil entered and carefully placed the tray of sushi on the table.

"What the h*** is that??" Jay asked annoyingly.

"Can't you see, sir? Sushi."

Pil's sarcastic answer angered him. Jay got his hands off Jessie and rose up from sitting. "Do you want to get fired tonight?"

"We didn't order anything. Do your job properly!" Ric backed up Jay.

Pil smirked and targeted Jay's eyes. "But someone ordered sushi for Jessie."

A hint of panic displayed on the guys' faces. Jessie quicky rose up and stood behind Pil, she was completely nervous.

The door opened.

Jessie turned her back and cried in relief when she saw who entered the VIP room. Her student teacher in SA, Kian Park.

----------

Kian walked to where Jay was and shot him with a glare. He spoke. "As far as I know, minors are not allowed to enter clubs."

"Except for school clubs, sir." Pil added, trying to annoy Jay and his friends.

"Do you know who I am?" Jay pierced eyes with Kian. He didn't look threatened unlike his friends who had been nervous since Kian entered the room.

Kian turned his head on the side, as if asking Pil who Jay was.

"He's a VIP guest here, sir." Pil said, letting out a  smile that reflected disgust.

Kian looked at Shin, he signalled him to come closer to him. "Give me that thing you put in her beer."

Shin quickly kneeled down before him. "Mr. P..Park, please.. s..spare me.. please???"

"Shut your mouth!!!!" Jay glared at his friend.

"H..Here, s..sir." Shin shakingly extended his hands, avoiding Kian's fiery eyes.

Kian was holding the glass of beer Jay had forced Jessie to drink and intently looked at it, as if he's inspecting what's inside the cold beer. He then spoke. "Drugging someone is a very serious crime."

"Jay, l..let's go." Shin rushingly stood up and held his friend's arm.

"Why? Are you scared of Kian Park? He is clueless of what kind of wall he's trying to break." Jay just disrespected Kian who was older than him.

Fear kept making his three friends feel uneasy.

Kian stepped forward to face Jay closely. "I'm not just trying to break a wall. I'm destroying it. Totally."

Kian turned his back and crouched down in front of the table. Everyone's eyes, except Pil's, flashed confusion.

He got a fancy display on the table, a glass jar filled with black pebbles. He put his hand inside and took out a black thing among the pebbles.

Kian stood up. He lifted his hand and showed what he was holding to Jay and his friends. A very small spy device! Their eyes widened in a great shock. Pil smirked.

Kian looked at Jessie. "Don't worry. These guys can't make a new story."

A teary smile, Jessie felt totally relieved. "T..Thank you, t..teacher."

"Don't thank me." Kian replied. "If it's not for you, we couldn't track you here."

"Track?" Jessie had no idea what Kian was talking about.

"You did well for always carrying that with you. You really do what I told you last time."

The three guys were puzzled. But Jessie already got what Kian meant.

From her bag, Jessie got a book, The Lion's Den. "You're talking about this, right?"

A more shocking surprise struck the four guys.

Kian got the book and Pil handed him a small blade. Kian made a long slit on the hardbound back cover and took out a very tiny tracking device.

Kian extended his hand, giving the book back to Jessie. "I don't need to track you anymore, but keep reading this. This book will teach you how to avoid dangerous people.."

Kian looked at Jay and his friends, then he continued. "Like them."

----------

Monday, HANN Exclusive Girls' High School.

Mina's class was over. She went straight to the library to borrow some advanced Math and Science books.

Walking from the library to the exit gate, that memory of her first beautiful spring rain flashed back. Mina's face lit up, her eyes gleamed.

That lovely memory quickly erased her disappointment towards her tutor. She just started to dislike him that Saturday morning but in a snap, she seemed to forget about it.

'Okay, teacher. You won!' Mina shyly thought. She obviously admitted that disliking her tutor would never be easy.

Her heart began to flutter. She suddenly got excited for their class tonight.

While her thoughts were on her tutor, she did not notice she already reached the bus stop.

'Wait, I think I know him.' A familiar face caught her attention.

She was sure she had already seen him before.

The guy sat at the waiting area while fixedly looking at his phone. How he seemed familiar really bothered Mina that she kept trying to remember where and when she had seen him.

------------

'I must be crazy.' Mina had been saying this to herself.

She could not believe she was following the guy she had seen at the bus stop. Why not if she already remembered him. He was the guy who was speaking with her tutor on the phone and whom he met at Gangsil bus stop.

Mina looked at her watch. It's 5 PM, three hours before her class with her tutor. She kept convincing herself that it's okay to follow the guy since it was still early. She was sure this guy would meet her tutor.

After seeing him meet this guy at Gangsil last week, she got curious about what her tutor had been up to.

The guy was spacing out while looking outside the window.

The bus stopped and he immediately got up. Mina did the same. She followed him discreetly. The guy entered a narrow street, a few steps from the bus stop.

She looked at the post where a sign was hanging, Liang St.

Every step, Mina made sure she was cautious. She felt like all eyes were on her.

A new place like this interested Mina that she did not notice she already got busy looking around.

The narrow street was full of old shops. There were a lot of shabby small business establishments and apartment buildings. Liang St. was actually a neighborhood of small gangs, men's bars and illegal shops.

Most young guys were gathered in every corner of the narrow street, as if they were having some sort of meeting or they were just spending their time leisurely.

"Oliver Sung?"
