Working Place

Mari hurriedly entered their building where she worked. She was late and that was the last thing she wanted to do. For Mari, being late was a factor that could affect a person's performance at work.

"Sorry, I'm late!" Mari immediately apologized when she arrived at Andrei's office.

Yes, Andrei was Mari's boss but the young man also started out as a regular employee. And because of his dedication and determination to work, he was immediately promoted as the new manager of the company. And he immediately hired Mari, his girlfriend, as his personal secretary.

"It's okay! You're only two minutes late, anyway please dictate my schedule. So I can make up for myself afterwards." Andrei's formal answer.

"Yes, boss!" Mari responded enthusiastically and immediately took out the notes about Andrei's new schedules.

"So, I have a business trip for five days and I'm with you. Okay, pack your stuff early so you don't forget anything. Let's meet Mr. Lee at the five star hotel at exactly eleven so you can have an early break." Andrei said after Mari explained her schedule for the whole week.

"Thank you Boss! You, aren't you going to take a break yet?" Mari happily replied with a sticky gaze at Andrei.

Andrei smiled and winked.

"I'll just finish signing all the documents that are on my desk. I'll probably be next," he said.

"Okay! But, in case you don't finish that, I'll just bring you some snacks."

"But, you know my rules!"

"I don't care, Andrei. Besides, I'm not bringing you your snacks during work hours. It's break time so we can be affectionate." Mari insisted.

"Our image might be something they'll say later,"

Mari sighed and gave Andrei a gentle nudge.

"You're too strict, let them say whatever they want. Besides, they know we're lovers, what's wrong with that?"

"Okay, that's enough. Just bring my favorite food after you." Andrei stopped Mari because he knew the girl wouldn't stop talking anymore.

Mari smiled sweetly.

"Bye, I'm leaving now." She said goodbye and turned her back.

Andrei just laughed and shook her head. Mari is definitely naughty and sometimes cunning, but she calms down when Andrei is in front of her and speaks.

"Hey, you're taking a break early, huh?" Jeyah noticed Mari as the two of them got into the elevator together.

Mari laughed.

"We have a meeting later outside so I'm taking an early break." She said.

Jeyah's face turned red.

"It's good that you're always fresh and that no one is giving you a headache. Harry and I fought again because of a woman."

"Oh...did you catch him flirting?"

"No, but that woman is through chat, she's seducing my boyfriend."

Mari shook her head.

"You're not used to your boyfriend being chased by women."

Jeyah sighed and frowned.

"This set-up of ours is getting tiring. Sometimes I want to break away from him."

Mari's eyes widened. "Are you sure?"

Mari couldn't believe what Jeyah said, it was probably the first time she had heard the words she had uttered from the girl.

Jeyah was the one who fell silent.

"It seems like you're not sure based on your silence. You know, before you say you're going to break up with Harry, make sure that's really your decision. Anyway, let's talk when we both get home, you both know what I mean." Mari nodded and just patted Jeyah's shoulders before leaving.

Jeyah sadly watched Mari leave. Deep down, the girl was really jealous of her friend's love life. It's really hard to find someone like Mari's boyfriend Andrei, the perfect man for her perfect woman.

"Here's your favorite food, boss!" Mari said jokingly after returning to Andrei's office.

Andrei stopped signing the paper he was holding and looked at Mari.

"Thank you, Hon!" The young man replied with a smile.

"Now, you're calling me Honey huh? I finished earlier and you don't seem to want me to bring you your snack!" Mari pretended to be offended.

Andrei laughed and immediately pulled Mari into his arms affectionately. He kissed her on the head and hugged her from behind.

"Don't sulk, we've been like this for a long time, are you complaining now?" Andrei said laughing.

Mari pretended to think.

"It's just annoying sometimes. We're always together but there's a limit. I want to serve you every day but I can't because we can only be affectionate outside."

Andrei politely made Mari face him and stared at him.

"Well, you can do that when we're married, just be patient a little, okay?"

Mari's eyes widened. "You mean, I can't work anymore when we're married?"

Andrei gentle touched Mari's cheek, knowing that she was disappointed by what he said.

"Don't be angry, but that's really what I want. So you can focus on me, our married life. It's preparation for our soon-to-be parents," Andrei explained.

Mari's lips twitched as if she was thinking.

"You have a point, after all, so I can get pregnant faster." She said after that.

Andrei smiled, happy that Mari got what he meant.

"So, get up now. I will finish my snack and let's go back to work. Enjoy it while you're still working, you'll be a housewife soon." Andrei said happily.

Mari smiled sweetly and slowly left Andrei's lap.

"Alright then. Eat that, while I sort out the papers you've finished. Finish it all, okay?"

"Of course! This is delicious," Andrei replied enthusiastically and immediately grabbed the food Mari was carrying.

It was creamy maja blanca and suman latik, Andrei's favorite snack even Mari's. That's why the two of them agreed on it because they had almost the same favorites and interests. Andrei was very enthusiastic about what he ate, adding just coffee to his breakfast this morning because like Mari, he was also going to be late. Something he hadn't told his girlfriend and Andrei knew that the two of them would laugh again because of what they were doing.
