One last step

The days passed quickly. The couple's business trip ended so their cenomar schedule continued. And that would be five days that also passed quickly.

"Heyyy...this is how it is to get married! So, tiring but enjoying it." Mari said as she collapsed on the couch.

Andrei shook his head laughing. The young man went straight to the mini kitchen of his condo. He and Mari stayed there for now because it was close to the cenomar venue they attended.

"Care for a drink, honey?" Andrei happily asked his girlfriend who was curled up on the couch.

Mari quickly opened her eyes and smiled sweetly at Andrei as she reached for a glass of cold pineapple juice.

"Thank you, honey! You're the best," she said happily.

"You fooled me again!" Andrei replied laughing as he sat down next to Mari.

"I'm not kidding you, honey, you're the best. Well, in one thing, you're very rare to find. Where else can you find a perfect guy like you?" Mari proudly pointed out.

Andrei laughed even more.

"You know our family's past life. I just don't want my future wife to experience what our mother experienced." He said.

Mari was overwhelmed and hugged her boyfriend.

"And I thank you for that, honey!" Her words were sweet.

"You're welcome, honey!" Andrei said affectionately and carefully kissed his girlfriend on the head.

They remained in that passionate mood for a few minutes. They savored what most people call peace of mind.

"How many children do you want to have?" Mari then asked.

Andrei coughed, a little surprised by Mari's sudden question. He froze and smiled then they adjusted their seats.

"If I were the one to ask, two children would be fine. So we can focus more on their future." Andrei said.

Mari's face turned red.

"Why?" Andrei asked laughing.

"I want a dozen!" The girl insisted.

Andrei burst out laughing because of what his girlfriend said.

"Can you handle a dozen?" Her eyes widened as she asked.

Mari seemed to think and even she laughed at his antics.

"What...can you handle!"

Andrei laughed even harder.

"My stomach hurts from laughing at you, honey! It's like you're so rude!"

"Oh, why? When I'm rude, are you going to trade me for someone else?" There was a hint of annoyance in Mari's voice.

Andrei immediately hugged Mari to comfort her.

"Not like that! I just mean, I don't want you to be too busy and your health and beauty to be affected, that's what I meant." The young man immediately explained.

"Is that so? Okay, three is enough it's ugly if only two!" Mari said, still insisting.

"Okay, you'll be the one to follow my Queen!" Andrei agreed so that his discussion with Mari wouldn't last any longer.

Mari happily kissed her boyfriend's cheek and they hugged again. Then they decided that Mari would go home to their house. And Andrei would drive her so that she could talk to her future mother-in-law again. They would get the invitation cards tomorrow afternoon. Only two more hours of sleep would be the final moment for the two of them to be together.

"May God have mercy on you, children!" Maria said.

The couple sat down together on the sofa. They were going to have lunch there so they were only at Andrei's condo for a while earlier.

"I've finished cooking, I'll serve first and then we'll eat." Maria said again.

"I'll help you, Mom!" Mari replied and we went together.

"No, go with Andrei to the living room. Sister Mira and Brother Marco are there," the Lady refused.

Yes, they weren't the only people in their house. Mari's siblings and nieces were there. Of course, they knew that Andrei would be eating there, so they also said that their future brother-in-law would be joining them for the meal.

"After we eat, let's rest for a while and then we'll get the invitation cards." Mari turned to Andrei.

The young man nodded.

"My relatives will come tomorrow to help with our wedding venue. Sorry, honey, if they're a little late," he apologized.

Mari smiled.

"That's okay! We're closer to where our wedding will be held and the venue is right here at home. There's no need to wait for them, it's better to start something than nothing!" She said.

"Thank you very much, honey!" Andrei replied, also smiling.

"You're always welcome, honey!" Mari happily instructed.

The wedding venue should be at Andrei's place. However, the couple thought that Andrei's place was further away. So they decided to choose Mari's place as the venue. Mari also had a large church where they wanted to get married and be blessed. There was no problem on Andrei's side because they understood the reason. So the couple was even happier because all the preparations for their wedding were going really smoothly.

"We can get our clothes now, honey." Andrei said while they were riding in the car.

Just like the two of them had talked about, they just rested for a while and then headed out again.

"Even bridesmaids and groomsmen?" Mari asked.

"Yes, that's all!"

Mari just laughed and shook her head. The day had really arrived when they were both very busy.

"Can you still do it, honey?" Mari asked.

Andrei laughed.

"I can still do it, honey, what are you doing!" This is bragging but it's embarrassing especially when driving.

"You're just pretending but I know you're tired too. I'm just sitting there doing nothing, so you're my full-time driver!" Mari insisted.

"Yes! I know I can't hide anything from you, honey. But, we have to do this once in a lifetime. The best moment of our lives," Andrei's excitement said.

"I know, honey! That's why I really salute you, I can't ask for anything more." Mari replied very proudly.

The two stopped talking when they arrived at the place where they were going to get the invitation cards. Then they got to get what they were going to wear. Yes, they had everything sewn, including the mother-in-law's clothes. From the bridesmaids, groomsmen, ring bearers, flower girls, everyone. That's what the couple agreed on. They really prepared for it and split the cost. It was something Andrei didn't want to do, but Mari insisted that they share it. Mari didn't want Andrei to have to suffer too much, they were both completely married, so it was only right that they help each other with the expenses.
