Jake opened the door of the Mathew House and it was all dark and filled with dust. He walked inside the house, looking around at everything, remembering old times. He, to date, regrets killing his father, but he knew if he didn’t kill him that day, he’d have created more trouble for everyone and more lives could be at stake.

He picked the photo frame from the side table and remove dust to look at their family pictures and kept it back in its place. He moved around in his house with a heavy heart and finally reached his room where he spent most of his time.

He sat on his bed quietly for a few minutes and then moved to open his closet, retrieving a box that held pictures of him and Jessica, he looked at their childhood pictures and a surreal smile appeared on his face when his eyes landed on the small red velvet box in his drawer. He picked up the box and opened it only to find the couple rings they purchased together.

He touched the diamond of the ring with his thumb and closed
