FORCED AND BULLIED

 (IGNAS POV)

Have you ever been bullied so much that you feel numb and indifferent about it as time goes on?

Well, that's how I feel right now kneeling in front of the Alpha of my pack, as I was ordered to go with the healers of the pack to the place where war was happening, but it seems they forgot I was nothing but a weak woman without a wolf.

  “Do you understand my order?!”

I woke up from my daze and looked at the old but heartless Alpha, he knew he might be pushing me to my death but he still went on heartlessly, making me wonder if he had a heart, but as it stands No one in this pack was nice and I don't even have a spec of hope they would listen to me if I say anything but would they?

“Alpha, you know I am without a Wolf, and going to the war is like delivering myself to death! You are aware right?” I asked the only question I had asked since I got here.

“Are you questioning the Alpha Ignas?! Besides you aren't the only healer going, and the others don't seem to be complaining. Seems you have forgotten you are just a weak fat girl without a wolf, and there is nothing for you to offer to the pack who had taken care of you since your parents died. Don't be ungrateful!” A sharp voice sounded in the hall.

Hearing her say that, you would think I was an ungrateful person, but every one of them knows everything is a lie! Since my parents died in a war at the age of ten. I have never been taken care of, I was cast aside especially when it was found out I didn't have a wolf, and could only live with the love of a human. I had learned the course of Healing from an old healer and the only person who had ever cared for me aside from my parents, but now that she is dead, I have been on my own again, surviving on the skill of healing and going to the forest to look for herbs for selling. I had gotten used to the daily life of being bullied and had learned to live with it. But why must they force me to a breaking point? They would never be okay if I was! It made me wonder if they were jealous of me, but I had to deny that because I had always been bullied for my chubbiness. So I never get the reason for me being bullied to the extent of being forced to go to war as a healer by those people.

I looked at the Alpha and suddenly smiled.

“My parents died to save this pack, they didn't think twice before sacrificing themselves. But if they ever knew I would be bullied, I bet they would have never done that. If I end up dying, please bury me next to my parents, thank you!” I said and without looking back to see their reactions, I left from there. I didn't want to see their faces as it disgusted me.

I returned to my run-down house as I needed to pack my necessities, even if I didn't have much. But there were some important things, like the writings of my old teacher, the writings are her hard-earned knowledge which she had passed down to me.

I entered the house and immediately took a bath and then sat down on the bed after getting dressed. I looked around this little home which was left behind by my dead teacher. Though the room was crampy and the furniture was broken, I made sure everywhere was neat. It was the habit I had gotten used to after living with my Teacher.

I stood up slowly and walked to the small and only mirror in the room. The girl looking back at me has a chubby and cute face with deep and lovely dimples. I have one of the most beautiful long and curly blonde hair that was now let down to dry. I looked just like my Mum, so I had never doubted my beauty. My parents were both gorgeous couples so my genes couldn't be bad at all.

I couldn't help but think about my love life as I looked at my beautiful self. I wonder why I still haven't met my mate. Like, other people get to meet their mate at the age of 18 or even less if their mate finds them. But I was already 20 years old but still haven't gotten a mate, which makes me wonder if the wolf gods have a dislike for me. I wouldn't be surprised though as I was used to being bullied and hated for no reason. I had first been filled with. Hope, and looked forward to getting my mate, but I had to let go after two years which added to the reason I am being bullied. It made me wonder to myself if I was truly part of the werewolf because I had no wolf and no mate.

I sighed softly as I patted my chubby face gently, “ Oh Ignas! Why do you need a Mate? I think it's better not to have a mate in this pack, every one of them is callous, and I don't want to get rejected by someone who isn't worth it!” I assured myself, forced a smile on my face, and then got ready to pack up my things and get ready for the journey tomorrow.

Ignas took a pack bag, packed the most important stuff inside then zipped it off. As I turned to put my bag aside, my eyes couldn't help but widen, I forgot about the book.

“How could I forget something this precious!” I couldn't help but slap my forehead lightly, then laugh at my silly self.

Looking at the book, I felt glad I had decided to learn about the skill of a healer and it had been helpful and fruitful. My teacher had praised me for my talents in healing which I am glad of.

Healers are just another word for doctors, as they are called by the human realm, but the werewolves call them healers. Putting the book inside my backpack, I lay on the bed to sleep as tomorrow was going to be a long day.

  The Next Day.

The healers following the soldiers stood in front of the Alpha as he addressed them.

I looked at the Alpha talking with emotions that I knew were fake and felt disgusted. But do I have any other option but to keep listening to his dramatic words?

“Are you ready to go? Well, I wish you bad luck, haha! Fatty!” The voice of my Benita, the leader among my bullies whispered in my ear which startled me.

I replied, “Thank you for the opportunity Benita, and I am used to bad luck.”

“Oh! You are leaving this place so now you have the gut? But let me tell you fatty, you are just weak, Wolf less, so you will be killed in one week!” Benita's lips curled in disdain after she finished talking, making me cringe.

“Thank you for the reminder, I will stay out of the war so I won't be mistakenly killed by wolves. So bye, I am ready to go.” I felt so happy as I raised my head high up, and walked past her. This was the first time I won against my bullies, and it's made me so proud.

After the Alpha was done talking, we were ready to set out. And I knew this was just the beginning, as I didn't know what to expect. Would I be mistakenly killed off in a week as Benita said? Or I would survive.

  • MY RUNAWAY MATE   Chapter 25: The Frozen Wolf

(Tessa & Ignas’ POV alternating)(Tessa’s POV)I knew sneaking into the war library was reckless.Stupid, even. But I also knew that the scroll I found in Leo’s lockbox was older than anything used in recent battles. The seal on it wasn’t just Dominic Pack authority—it bore an emblem I’d only seen once before: a howling wolf with its chest split open, and thirteen crescent marks circling it.The Thirteenth Howl.No one in the pack dared speak of it. But if Ignas was somehow connected… she needed answers. And so did I.The war library was buried beneath the Alpha’s tent—a hidden door leading into a tunnel of stone walls and ancient warding sigils. Only Leo, Liam, and two archivists were allowed beyond it.But they’d made a mistake trusting me as a healer.I knew the scent of the root needed to paralyze the door ward. I knew how to dilute a blend of Silverleaf and Black Lace vine to bypass the sigil that burned flesh. And now, here I was, inside the forbidden room—scrolls everywhere, pa

  • MY RUNAWAY MATE   Chapter 24: Firebound

Firebound(Ignas’ POV)The masked assassin didn’t hesitate.Flames exploded from his palm, hissing like wild serpents as they coiled toward us. Leo shoved me behind a standing stone, taking the full hit of the fire blast across his shield. The explosion cracked against the rune-covered stone like thunder.I screamed, “Leo!”“I’m fine,” he growled, his voice a strained rasp. “Stay behind me.”But I could see the way he staggered when he turned back, the singed edges of his cloak, the blood dripping from a cut near his jaw. Whatever shielding he’d used, it had only held for the first hit.The masked Flame-Born stalked toward us with eerie calm, fire licking up his arms, his eyes glowing through slits in the mask.“You weren’t supposed to awaken, girl,” he said in a distorted voice. “Your wolf should have stayed buried.”Leo raised his blade. “You picked the wrong Alpha to threaten.”The assassin laughed darkly. “I don’t care about you, Dominic dog. She’s the one we want. The one our anc

  • MY RUNAWAY MATE   Chapter 23: The Voice Beneath the Blood Moon

The Voice Beneath the Blood Moon(Ignas’ POV)When I finally opened my eyes, everything was still. The sky had darkened above us, shadows stretching long between the trees, and the wind carried a low, howling whistle that didn’t belong.Leo was crouched beside me, his arm still braced around my waist, his eyes glued to my face with pure concern.“Ignas?” he asked gently, brushing a damp strand of hair from my forehead.I blinked slowly. “I saw her. My mother… She was running. Through fire. Holding a bundle—me, I think.”Leo tensed. “Fire?”I nodded. “She was trying to get away. There were wolves in cloaks. They were chasing her. She… she whispered something before the vision ended.”“What did she say?” he asked.I swallowed. “She said, ‘If she ever awakens, tell her—don’t trust the flame-born.’”Leo stiffened. My chest tightened. “Does that… mean something to you?”He hesitated. “There’s an old rumor. The Flame-Born Wolves—they were a faction of fire-aligned warriors. Charred red fur,

  • MY RUNAWAY MATE   Chapter 22: The Map of Shadows

(Ignas’ POV)It had started again. That low hum beneath my skin.A strange flicker of light in the corners of my vision. Whispers that didn’t reach my ears, but curled around my spine like smoke. My senses—heightened. My instincts—louder. The bond was no longer the loudest thing inside me.Something older… something buried… was waking up.And it terrified me.I’d never wanted power. I just wanted peace. Belonging. A place where I didn’t have to keep proving my worth to people who had already decided it didn’t exist. Now, with one letter, one vision, and one truth—I was a beacon.A hunted one.Tessa’s voice pulled me back to the present.“I found something,” she whispered, slipping into my tent like a shadow. Her eyes were bright, cheeks flushed from running.“What?”“In Madam Theresa’s book. The old journal she left you. There’s a page I’d never noticed before. It was stitched into the spine—hidden.”She pulled out the book from her satchel. A thin leather journal, frayed and worn. Sh

  • MY RUNAWAY MATE   Chapter 21: Echoes Of Power

Echoes of Power(Ignas’ POV)I thought I was dreaming again. The world around me was strange—blurry, half-suspended in a haze of silver light. The trees glowed as if moonlight had soaked into their bark, and the ground beneath my bare feet pulsed with energy.I walked forward, uncertain.Every step felt… right. Like I’d done this before. Then I heard it.A whisper. My name.“Ignas…”I turned, searching for the voice. But the forest answered only with silence. The leaves rustled as if the wind were trying to speak, but no words came. Then, out of the shadows, a figure emerged.A woman. She wore a deep blue cloak, long white hair cascading down her back. Her eyes—moonlight silver—glowed as they locked onto mine.“You’re not ready,” she said softly.I tried to speak, but my mouth wouldn't form words.“You’ve been hidden. Suppressed. But the bond inside you is awakening. And when it does… they’ll come.”My heart pounded. “Who are you?” I finally whispered. She stepped closer, lifted a han

  • MY RUNAWAY MATE   Chapter 20: The Suppressed Truth

The Suppressed Truth(Ignas’ POV)Something was different about Leo when he came to me.The moment he stepped into the healer’s tent, I felt it. His eyes weren’t just sharp—they were conflicted, haunted. He’d always carried shadows beneath that fierce exterior, but this… this was different. He was hiding something.“Walk with me,” he said quietly.I didn’t ask questions. Just nodded, wiped my hands, and followed him out into the evening air.We walked in silence, side by side, the wind brushing our cloaks like whispers trying to speak what we wouldn’t say aloud. The camp was unusually still for a night before battle. Too quiet. When we reached the forest line, he stopped.I turned to him. “What’s going on?”He didn’t meet my eyes.Instead, Leo reached into his coat and pulled out something wrapped in aged leather. He handed it to me.A document.I stared at it. My name was written at the top.“I found this,” he said. “In a hidden vault my mother left behind.”I unfolded it slowly. My
