The light streaming in through the window shone on Elena's face and that was when she woke up rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. Her back was aching and all her body was sore, it happened as a result of the monotonous drudgery she was subjected to. There's nothing she wants more than taking a rest or a day off, but she can't or she will face the wrath of Alpha Carl and his girlfriend.

The pain she was feeling on her body was nothing compared to the pain in her heart, her heart aches Everytime due to the way they mistreat her, she was mocked on daily basis and everyone treats her like trash, her life was far from beautiful, it was miserable just like Cinderella's life but unlike Cinderella she doesn't have her own prince charming. That was what she had to go through as the pack's Slave.

She was picked up when she was a baby by Alpha Carl's late father after she was abandoned by her parents and he provided a roof over her head, but life took an unexpected twist after his death and she was forced to face the turmoils of life. She has always endured the ill- treatments hoping that things will get better, it wasn't their fault, maybe her life would have been better if her parents didn't abandon her.

she will be turning twenty the next day and her joy knew no bounds, she will finally be able to shift and the moon goddess will bless her with her mate, someone that will get her out of her miseries and give her the peaceful and beautiful life she has always dreamed of, she was at the garden enjoying the air and the rustling sound which was made by the leaves. Seeing the leaves and flowers makes her excited, it makes her forget the turmoil in her life.

"Alpha Carl sent for you" One of the servants said to her, snapping her out of her fantasies and she immediately became Sad and moody.

Carl is the Alpha of Shadow falls pack which happens to be her pack, he's a handsome Jerk who was spoiled by his late parents, everything he wants was given to him on a platter of gold. Aside being a jerk, he's also an asshole who sleeps around, the only good thing about him is his handsome face and features which the moon goddess has blessed him with, she entered the sitting room and saw him making out with his girlfriend and she was disgusted, they were so busy that they didn't notice her presence.

Ahem.... she cleared her throat trying to get their attention.

"You sent for me" She said gazing at them with so much disdain.

"Can't you see that he's busy?Why did you have to interrupt?" His girlfriend asked and landed a slap across her face and Elena winced in pain, she tried so hard to fight the tears lurking at the corner of her eyes, she looked up at them and her heart which has been aching started pounding so fast, she was hurting so much but unfortunately nothing can be done, there's no one to save her from their wickedness.

"It's enough! Get me a drink!" Carl commanded her without considering the pain she was feeling.

She left the room and the tears she was trying so hard to fight fell freely down her cheeks and she cried, she was utterly broken and she wished that the moon goddess would put an end to her sufferings.

There are three packs in the state but Blood moon pack happens to be the most powerful, famous and feared pack, it was led by Alpha Damien who was the Alpha.

He's just Twenty five years old but he has already built a name for himself and his pack, he has won so many wars and his pack was the only pack that was able to put an end to the Rogues attack.

His mom, an Alpha's daughter, Fell in love with a Vampire and he was given birth to after his mom got pregnant for the Vampire and that made him a Hybrid. but his father disappeared shortly after he was born because he wasn't accepted by the werewolves.

At his naming ceremony, they received the seer's prophecy saying that the moon goddess has decided to seal his Vampire abilities, she said that granting him his Vampire abilities will cause a lot of damage. His werewolf abilities were granted to him but his vampire abilities were sealed.

He was still feared despite the fact that the Moon Goddess sealed his Vampire abilities, people refer to him as a monster and no one Dares to get on his bad side.

"You were invited to a party by the Alpha of Shadow Falls pack" His Beta who happens to be his friend announced to him.

"I reject his invitation!" He said abruptly without giving it much thought.

"I know he's a jerk but you have to go, he invited you because he respects you" his Beta said to him.

After much persuasion from his Beta, Damien decided to attend the party at Shadow falls pack, but vows to leave the party if it becomes boring and annoying.

Elena was cleaning Carl's room after getting him a drink, he was sitting on a sofa in his room drinking and staring at her when his Beta came into the room....

"Alpha Damien accepted your invitation" he announced and Carl was flabbergasted, he wasn't expecting him to accept his invitation, he stood up and walked towards the window grinning.

"I know that the reason he accepted my invitation was because he's scared of me and he doesn't want to get on my bad side" He bragged and Elena Snorted, she hasn't seen Alpha Damien but from what she has heard about him, he doesn't look like someone who would be scared of him.

"What was the meaning of that?" Carl asked angrily..."for doing this, you will have to work tomorrow until the party is over!" He commanded and Elena was sad.

"But, it's my birthday tomorrow" She said, staring at him while hoping he would have a change of heart.

"I don't care!You will Do as I say or else you will have to face my wrath!" His voice echoed.
