CHAPTER NINETY THREE

My heart quickened as my primal instincts kicked in. There, hidden beneath a layer of clothing, was a small vial containing a deep red liquid - blood.

The realization hit me like a wave, and I couldn't fathom the implications of finding such an item in Mrs. Hope's room.

My mind raced, trying to piece together the puzzle. Why would there be a vial of blood hidden away? Was it connected to her disappearance, or was there another explanation? The questions swirled in my mind, and I knew that I needed to share this discovery with my pack.

I picked up the vial of blood, examined it and put it right inside my jacket, after which I carefully closed the chest and made my way back downstairs to where Edmond and members of my pack happened to be waiting.

I tried to maintain a calm expression despite the turmoil within me.

Edmond looked at me with a glimmer of hope, hoping that I had found something that could provide answers to his mother's disappearance.
