CHAPTER NINETY FOUR

I took a deep breath, steadying myself as I entered Dr. Margaret's office. The warm glow of the room greeted me, and I found her sitting behind her desk, her eyes focused on some paperwork. She glanced up as I approached, offering a warm smile.

"Good evening, doctor," I greeted politely.

"Good evening," she replied, looking up at me curiously. "How can I help you? Are you here for a medical consultation?"

I shook my head, returning her gaze steadily. "No, I don't have any ailments. I'm not here as a patient."

Dr. Margaret raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Then what brings you to my office?" she asked.

"I'm here about a mutual friend," I began cautiously. "Mrs. Hope."

At the mention of her friend's name, Dr. Margaret's face instantly changed. Alarm and sadness flickered in her eyes. "Mrs. Hope?" she whispered. "You know her too?"

"Yes, she was a friend of mine," I confirmed. "I heard about her disappearance, and I wanted to ask a few questions."
