Chapter 53

DOMAIN~~~ 10:00 AM

Sandro’s car rolled through the clan gates without the usual growl of tires or the sharp, impatient bite of speed. The air itself seemed to sense the shift—thick, unmoving, waiting. It was the kind of quiet that came not after a storm, but before one.

The guards straightened, their voices rising to greet him, but he moved past them like they were smoke in the wind—there, then gone. His eyes didn’t flicker toward them, not even in acknowledgment.

His suit jacket was already gone, tossed somewhere in the backseat. His hands went to the rest of his clothes, fingers working at the buttons with mechanical precision. Each bloodstained piece came off and hit the ground with the weight of iron—shirt, tie, belt, pants—until the trail of discarded fabric was a path behind him.

The stains weren’t just red. They were dark, thickened, almost black where they’d dried. The smell clung to him—metallic, sharp, invasive.

Chapter 58~~~UNKNOWN PLACE~~~ 2PMA shadow dropped from the high walls with the silent precision of a predator. Snow landed in a crouch, the dull thud of his boots muffled by the dirt. Without hesitation, he sprinted towards the building, his breath sharp and steady. Two guards stood posted by the rusted steel doors, rifles slung lazily over their shoulders—too slow to realize death had already come for them.Snow hit the first with a spinning kick that cracked his jaw sideways. The second tried to lift his gun but found himself slammed against the wall, his head bouncing off concrete before sliding down unconscious. Both bodies hit the ground almost at the same time.Inside, the air smelled of damp wood and gun oil. Sunlight cut in through broken windows, casting long, fractured shadows across the room. And there, by the tall window of the abandoned building, stood Ace—glass mask glinting like ice under the pale light."Where is my sister, Ace?" Snow’s voice was low, dangerous, his

Chapter 57~~~VELENO CLAN~~~ NEXT DAYMadam Gloria dragged her legs towards the Veleno gate, sweat dripping down her wrinkled forehead, soaking the collar of her faded dress. Every step felt like wading through wet sand, her shoes scuffing against the gravel road. Her breath came in shallow, ragged pulls, the air thick with the metallic tang of gun oil and smoke drifting from somewhere deep inside the compound. She lifted her trembling fist and knocked on the massive iron gate—once, twice—softly, almost as though afraid the very sound might get her killed.A guard appeared, his shadow stretching over her like a hunter’s snare. Recognition flickered in his eyes. Without a word, he stepped aside, pushing the gate just enough to let her through. The metal groaned like a beast warning her not to enter.Inside, the courtyard was eerily silent. No casual chatter from soldiers. No clinking of weapons. Just the low hum of danger vibrating in the air. She shuffled forward, dragging her tired l

Chapter 55It wasn’t until they pulled into his driveway that he spoke. He stepped out immediately, circling to her side. She stayed put, hands curled around her bag. He opened the door, leaning down slightly, rain beading on his lashes. For a second, his eyes softened—not in kindness, but in memory. The day he’d taken her to his secret hideout flashed through his mind, the way she had looked at him then.“Where am I?” she asked, her voice almost too steady, as though pretending she didn’t already know.“I’m sorry to scare you,” he said quietly. “You’ve never been to my house before… but I brought you here. I thought you might have… never startled.” His words stumbled, like he was trying not to say something else. Her brow knit. “Why did you bring me here?”“It’s raining,” he replied, his gaze holding hers a second too long. “And the roads to your house are probably flooded. They get flooded during the rainy season, right?”She hesitated before nodding, the smallest shiver running thr

Chapter 54~~~ESPOSITO HOSPITAL~~~ 6 PMThe city outside was fading into evening, but inside the car, the air was heavy, thick with unspoken thoughts. Caspian kept his eyes on the road, the low hum of the engine the only sound between them.In the back seat, Sandro sat leaned back, one elbow propped against the door, his gaze unfocused but sharp at the edges. His mind wasn’t here—not fully.A betrayal.Somewhere in his clan, a man he trusted had been planted years ago, growing like a weed in the soil of loyalty. It wasn’t the kind of suspicion you could shake off.It was poison.“Who could it be?” The question turned over and over in his mind like a blade in his hand. His eyes drifted to Caspian’s reflection in the rearview mirror, studying the familiar lines of his face.Is it you?Kendrox? Fire? Sage?Who the fuck is it?He didn’t blink. Didn’t move. Just stared, the silence between them sharper than any accusation.“Boss, we’re here,” Caspian’s voice cut through, pulling him out of
