Adriano's P O V

I had gone down to the kitchen for a glass of water as neither of the maids were in earshot. There I saw her and instantly I assumed she was busy with the cooking which shouldn't be so in anyway.

As much as she was my captive, she still was my guest, and not just any guest, Sofia's lookalike.

It remained a mystery to me how two different people, born to different families could look so much alike.

It was a tough one to wrap my head around.

Regardless, she was my second chance at making things right again.

Not willing to let what was before me slide, I thought to let her know her place and not get entangled with the house maids as she wasn't one.

They had their backs to me, making them oblivious of my presence.

"You shouldn't be in here. Leave the cooking to the maids. That's their job."
