Chapter Nine.

My legs finally felt functional again as I was now able to walk myself down the stairs.

As I walked, my legs ached. It was then I realized how long the stairs were and that it wasn't a straight ahead stairs but a spiral one.

I held onto the railings to support my movement and one look at Alessia, I felt like the uncivilised one.

Why?

She didn't seem to be affected by how long it was taking to get to the base level of the stairs. Her face held a timid look as usual, followed by a dim smile as she walked.

Soon enough we were at the base of the stairs and like a puppy tailing its master, I followed behind her to the kitchen and dear me was I stunned.

The kitchen was literally the size of the bedroom I had just been in, if not even bigger. It could contain dozens of people at the same time and none would bump into the other.

I envied the interior decor as it seemed every single design was carefully thought of. It was nothing like I've seen before except only in movies.
