Chapter 2

"AVINAAASHHHHHHHH..." Sheetal shouted when she arrived at Avinash's room within 5 minutes.

She was completely shocked after seeing her son unconscious with a slit on his wrist and soon her shock converted into tears and she started crying badly.

As soon as everyone in the house heard Sheetal shouting they just came rushing to Avinash's room and were shocked as soon as they arrived there.

"Avinash," everyone was were scared the moment they saw Avinash unconscious.

Rudra walked in and pick Avinash in his arms quickly and then rushed towards the hospital.

At Hospital

AKHIL

All of us were waiting for the doctor outside Avinash's ward. I was completely baffled by Avinash's sudden attempt to suicide. I could never believe that he would stoop so low.

Within a few minutes, the doctor came out of the ward. I immediately walked towards him with extreme concern.

"How is my son?" I asked the doctor.

I was worried about my child's health.

"He is properly fine, you can even take him home after some time, it was a minor cut and you reached here right on time," the doctor answered with an assuring smile.

His words relieved me to an extent.

"If the cut was minor then why did he fell unconscious?" Sheetal asked as she sniffed something fishy.

"Maybe it wasn't due to the cut, maybe it was due to some kind of trauma," the doctor replied.

"Trauma?" Rudra questioned.

"Yeah.. is he kind of depressed due to some reasons?" the doctor asked.

"No, he can't be depressed," I answered confusingly.

What the hell? My son is depressed? There is no way I can believe that. I am sure this is related to something wicked going on in his head.

"Then I think we will have to observe him," the doctor paused for a while.  "Anyways you can see him now," and he went from there.

The moment, he walked out, I looked at my son from outside his ward. I wasn't concerned about him anymore. I was angry at him now.

"I am going inside to see my son," Sheetal hastly spoke as she approached towards the ward.

"No wait," I shouted.  My voice halted her footsteps.

"I want to talk to Avinash... alone," I announced, and then I entered the room without even waiting for their reaction.

"Why are you doing this?" I growled as I stood near Avinash.

"Like you don't know?" He taunted.

He didn't have a single bit of remorse in his expressions and that angered me more.

"Avinash," I shouted.

"I want to go to Mumbai for my studies and stay there with chachu and if you guys don't agree I will keep hurting myself," he blurted out as if he had no regrets about what he did.

I couldn't bear it anymore and thus, I stormed out of the ward, and on my way, I pulled Rudra with me. I had to talk to him.

I took Rudra out of the hospital and then turned towards him. I joined my hands and looked down. I have never felt so humiliated in my life but my son made me feel helpless.

"Bhaiya," Rudra held my hands. I could sense the embarrassment he felt.

And then, I couldn't control myself anymore. I broke down into tears.

"He isn't listening to me at any cost, he is fixed on his decision to go Mumbai and stay with you, and right now he declared that if we do not agree he will keep on hurting himself."

I sobbed as I confessed this to Rudra.

"Bhaiya, please do not cry," He tried to console me.

No matter whatever I have done to him, he still cared about me.

"Promise me that you will take care of him and you won't let any harm to him due to your work,"  I looked at Rudra.

I had high hopes in him and that's why, I decided to trust him for my son.

"Bhaiya, Avinash is like my son, I am his uncle and I won't let any harm to him at any cost.. trust me," Rudra assured me.

His tone was soft as he was smiling at me. His smile had weird comfort and assurance. I couldn't stay there anymore, I hugged my brother and cried bitterly.

MUMBAI

Aai reaches home and settles herself on the couch, she looked upset. Kiara came out of the room and then noticed her Aai.

"Aai.. what happened?", Kiara asked in a concerning tone.

"I lost my job", Aai sighed.

"What... why??", Kiara was shocked.

"They told me that I am serving them for the past 30years and now I am old enough, so I should rest and they retired me" Aai answered in an upset tone.

"Aai.." Kiara wanted to say something but was interrupted by her Aai who had tears in her eyes.

"You don't worry my girl, they have told me that they will sponsor your studies, and my medical expenses and I will receive a pension of a definite amount, it's just we will have to manage some expenses," Aai tried to calm herself down.

"There won't be any issues Aai," Kiara assured her.

"How?" Aai concerningly asked.

"You know na your daughter-in-law is the topper of college.. and I am in my second year so I can easily give tuitions to high school students and my immediate juniors and we can easily arrange some funds, there won't be any issues," Kiara had hope in her eyes.

"Beta, till when will you help this home like this?" Aai asked, confused.

"Till the time I am alive, what happened if your son couldn't do all this, I will do it," Kiara replied joyfully.

Aai smiled after listening to this and hugged Kiara tightly.

"I know all this is tough for you Aai, but I have promised someone that I will take complete care of you," Kiara thought this in her mind and she smiled.

SHIMLA

After 2 hours,

AKHIL

We brought Avinash home.

"Avinash, go and pack your stuff," I ordered as soon as we entered the house.

Avinash's expressions filled with ecstasy as he heard my decision and he immediately sprinted towards his room.

"Sheetal and Monali help him," I advised.

I was in no mood for arguments.

"But where is he going?" Sheetal asked.

"Mumbai, with Rudra, to continue his studies," I answered.

"No way, I am not letting my son go Mumbai," Sheetal shouted.

"If you want to see your son alive listen what am I saying," My tone was louder than usual and it made Sheetal shriek.

But I knew one thing. She won't shut her mouth at any cost. and the next moment, I was proved right.

"I am damn sure that he has applied some of his tactics so that Akhil now wants to send my son Mumbai, he just wants to destroy my son's life," her tone mocked Rudra.

I looked at Sheetal in sheer anger. Her spiteful words and the way she mocked my brother wasn't something I can tolerate. So the next moment, the room echoed with the sound of a slap. Yes, I slapped my wife and she deserved that.

"Remember one thing very clearly Sheetal," I pointed out my fingers towards her, "No matter how much you loathe Rudra, he is still my brother. He has my dad's blood in his veins."

My words were very clear and I am sure it would have imprinted well in her brain.

Little did they knew, this Mumbai escapade of Avinash was going to take a long turn in the lives of Rudra, Avinash and Kiara. Their lives were about to change completely.

KIARA

"Kiara, I am leaving," I could hear his voice fading away slowly.

"No, Mukul. You can't leave me like that," I cried and broke down in front of him.

It hurts, seeing the person you love the most leaving you forever.

"Baby, I have no other option, I have to leave," his voice was soft and consoling.

Even if I was in pain and torment, I could find comfort in his words.

"Please, don't. I can't live without you, Mukul," I begged him in between my sobs.

"Baby, please, don't. Don't make me weak like that, you know I can't bear it and I am helpless," his voice sounded like he was begging me to stop crying.

But how can you stop crying? When the only person you love is going to leave you forever?

"Kiara, look at me, promise me one thing," he cupped my cheeks and made me look towards him.

"No matter what happens, you will not keep crying till eternity. You will move on, live your life to the fullest, fall in love once again, accomplish your dreams, do everything you would want to do in your life. Your life shouldn't stop after my departure. Promise me that," his voice sounded like the sweetest thing in this world, and no, it wasn't a sweet poison, because it wasn't killing me, it was the antidote of the poison, it was giving me hope.

I looked at him with teary eyes, "I promise you, that I will move on. I will be the best girl, the girl you would want to flourish. I will move on and take care of Aai as well. I will fulfil all the duties of a wife and daughter-in-law," I promised him.

"Good, but don't even try to forget one thing, that while you are on the way to prove yourself a good daughter in law, you will have to live your life as well, is that okay?" He asked me.

"Yes," I nodded.

"Good, I love you," he kissed my forehead.

"I love you too," I replied, with a smile on my face.

"Now bye," he sighed.

"No," I cried out and suddenly open my eyes. I immediately flustered and got up from the bed. I dreamt of him again. I then walked towards my study table and gulped a glass of water and then took a deep breath.

Well, this is my life, a twenty-one old girl, who has lost the love of her life, her husband, to cancer two months ago and dreams about him every night. He says the same thing in my dreams every time, to move on. So now, I have decided that I would follow his advice. I will try my best to so-called move on.

And that's why I am joining college from tomorrow. I will be continuing my studies so that I can accomplish my dreams. No matter what, he always felt proud of me and that's why I will have to make him proud by doing everything he expected me from. I have to prove to this world that my love for him, wasn't a sham.

But I don't know why, I do have a different feeling about college now. Like something big is going to happen and no matter what, I can't take this feeling out of my head.

The next morning,

AVINASH

"Finally I am here," I sighed as soon as I got up from my bed and looked out of the window. Those tall buildings of the metro city and the morning silence made me feel good.

I am here now, in Mumbai. Cachu has confirmed my admission to St Xavier's and we flew here last night.

I am excited about everything, my college life, knowing more and more about chachu's business and work, having fun with girls and everything. I am going to enjoy my life to the fullest because that's why I am here.

I then looked at the time, it was already 8:00 am, I should now go and get a shower and leave for college.

Two Hours Later

I reached college right on time. I looked around the campus and trust me when I say that, the campus is gorgeous. I am in love with this college in just mere five minutes.

It gives me kind of nerd gothic vibes and I like it.

I am now excited to meet people here, make some friends and most importantly, look for a few girls who would love to have some fun with me. With a smile on my face, I walked inside the building to search for my classroom.

As I reached my classroom, I notice that most of the students are almost present. I smile and then search for a seat for myself. After finding a seat, I settle down and then the next moment my eyes fell towards the entrance.

A beautiful girl wearing a white salwar suit entered the class, loosely braided hairs, a simple look and perfect features. Man, she took my breath in just a glimpse. The way her dress fell on her body, defining her boobs and ass, was making me hard slowly. And trust me, I would love to fuck her in every way possible.

She stood in front of the class as she was about to announce something. I want to hear whatever she wants to say.

"Hello, Everyone," she addressed the class, and man, her voice is so sexy. I felt like it's seducing my ears.

"I am Kiara M Thakre, your senior, and I am here to inform you about something," she told and I focused my gaze on her, to hear whatever she wanted to say.

"I will be conducting tuitions for all the honours papers of your subject, microbiology. So if you want to join it, you can for sure do that. The fees would be nominal," she spoke and I felt so lost at words. I decided one thing, that I want her.

"Excuse me, I have a question," I stood up and walked towards her.

"Yes?" She politely replied in her melodious voice.

"Microbiology is a branch of biology. If I am not wrong," I asked her.

"Yes, it is."

"So would you mind? If I can ask you a few questions from biology, you know just to brush up my basics?" I smirked.

"Yes, ask," she couldn't understand my intentions.

"Would you teach me the chapter reproduction? Umm, by conducting practicals?" I winked.

And the next moment, all I felt was a sharp pain on my right cheek as her palms landed on it, hitting me hard.
