6. Inconsiderate Neighbor

Eros POV

The man named Bambang stopped me. I just moved into this apartment last night and ignored who my neighbors are. My body is exhausted, and I am also sleepy because I just came home from work and did not expect to see a weird woman who went out of her apartment with extreme fear.

I don’t want to talk to them, let alone that hysterical woman, saying that I am a ghost. Maybe she has a psychological disorder? I didn’t think that I had a weird neighbor. The woman was still shuffling behind the man with tall stature and very muscular muscles and not forgetting that his head was also bald. The appearance reflected a bodyguard in my eyes.

I looked at the watch on my wrist, showing 9 in the morning. I haven’t even taken a shower, let alone breakfast, and by now, I’m starving. Moaning at the two freaks in front of me, I asked, “If there’s a problem, say so. I have to go home and feed my cat.”

I’m not making any excuses. It’s true other than me, Cici must be hungry right now. Cici is the female cat I found on the street a few months ago, is now my pet. Ah, let’s get back to the topic where these two freaks still intercepted me.

“Are you still afraid of him, Kanya? He’s not a ghost. If you don’t believe him, touch him.”

Instead of answering me, the man was talking to a freaks woman behind him. He grabbed her hand and began timidly to move her hand. My gaze followed both of their hands, and I did not think her hand placed on mine. Spontaneously I slammed her white hand quite hard.

“Ah!”

Sure enough, she felt pain in her hand. I didn’t realize that I had used up my strength and what’s worse is that she’s a woman. I forgot about that. From my perspective, the woman named Kanya is quite a beauty, her eyebrows are quite thick, and she has naturally red lips, yet she’s not my type.

I frowned when I saw my hand due to displeasure with the touch of her hand. Her hands were smooth, and there was nothing wrong with that. I’m just not happy about being touched casually.

“He’s not a ghost.” She muttered, staring fixedly at me. Our distance is getting closer when Bambang pulls her to touch my hand.

Looking at those black eyes, we stared at each other for a few seconds, and during that time, I felt familiar with her eyes. I don’t know where I have looked into eyes like a night sky without the stars sparkling.

My chest slowly began to feel tight because the longer the eyes made my lungs’ air narrower.

Strange! How strange.

I immediately brought myself to my senses and turned my gaze towards Bambang, while that woman foolishly looked at my face.

“So you guys just want to see if I’m a ghost or not?” I gave myself a little sigh.

I wanted to laugh at their strange behavior, which recognizes me like a ghost. This woman’s eyes seemed to be a small minus; she had to buy herself some glasses. It’s a pity for not being able to see a man as handsome as me. I shook my head sadly. “It’s clear that I’m not a ghost, so could I leave now?”

I was starting to step my feet but stopped again because Bambang’s stumpy body blocked my way. For a moment, I scratched my forehead, which was not itchy. For how much longer should I put up with them? Then I looked at my watch, and it was 15 minutes past 9. What an inconsiderate neighbor?

“You are our new neighbor, by the way?” Bambang asked after studying me with his big eyes.

“Yes, I moved out last night.” Practically, I answered what he asked without the need to ask back because they had deliberately ignored my question earlier. I’m not too fond of that. My gaze turned lazy, and a flat expression crossed my face. I’m getting bored with this conversation.

The woman with red lips was still looking at me intensely. That look made me very uncomfortable. At this point, her eyes studied me from top to bottom. She didn’t believe that I was human yet.

“Moving on? New neighbor?” The woman opened her mouth dryly.

“He’s our new neighbor!”

“Neighbors? Ghosts?” She was frowning in disbelief. The woman with red lips had her mouth even more open.

Huh, how long will this boring chat end? If they weren’t my neighbors, I would have thrown them off the roof of the building.

“I’m human! Stop wishing I was a ghost. My feet are still touching the floor.”

Spontaneously she is looking at me and found my feet on the floor. Is she an idiot or something?

“Since you are our new neighbor, please introduce yourself. Oh, yes, I am Bambang, resident 304.” Bambang stretched out his hand.

He reaches out for me to shake him? This guy just woke up. He didn’t even wash his face before going out, let alone wash his hands. My hands could not be moving because I did not have the urge to shake the hand of the fierce-faced man in front of me. How many germs are attached to his hands?

“I am, Eros Darwin,” I said as I walked towards my apartment number 303. Unfortunately, that woman lives in apartment number 302 and is very close to mine. Hopefully, she doesn’t bother me.

I glanced from the tail of my eye, Bambang’s hand still in the air, and he glared at me. His flat nose twitched as his sharp gaze continued to follow my steps.

“Young people are not polite these days. If an old man reaches out, then shake his hand.”

I was stunned for a moment to hear his direct speech deafening. I wanted to cover my ears. My head was almost dizzy by the two strange people.

“I have a terrifying face, yet I have an angelic heart.”

I was about to open the door just now, but what he said only now made my stomach chills. Yes, a terrifying face with an angelic heart. I believe, I believe. It’s not that I purposely avoided shaking hands with him. I know it isn’t polite, but he doesn’t wash his hands, and I’m too hesitant when my hands touch other people.

I heard applause. “Good, Sir. Bambang, teach him a lesson!”

What the hell? Why is she clapping her hands instead? I’m exhausted from facing those two people. I opened the door then went inside, and before closing the door, I heard Bambang speak again.

“You are the same, screaming in the morning. Shouting out ghosts, there are no ghosts in the morning.” Bambang grunts irritatedly and turns to his apartment, his mouth twitches again to stare at me behind the half-closed door, “you young people these days are rude.”

Bam! He closed his apartment door angrily.

While the woman had glanced at me, but she immediately entered her apartment.

“Huh,” I sighed; I closed the apartment door. “Cici ....”
