Today I will date with Yesterday's You

(Kenzo's POV)

I walked her towards the train station that night. But when I came back to my apartment I saw a notebook , which she left. "Well I guess I'm gonna return it to her tomorrow morning." 

Out of curiosity, I opened it and I saw bunch of scheduled dates , with all of the things that we will be doing together on the following day. However the schedule written was all moving backwards . I looked at every pages and it is so difficult to understand . 

"Is this what she wants me to know about?"

I heard my phone ringing , when I answer it, it was her. "So , you have seen what was written on my notebook. I know I should have told you sooner about it. We are living on a different world, I'll explain it to you ." While she is explaining the clock is ticking, it is about 12 midnight . I was about to ask her more but then she suddenly disappear. 

I ask her out today, for me to get clarification for what she was talking about last night.

I take her to a place  where we first dated. It's weird she is acting like it's the first time she saw this place.

"How can she forget?"

We've been dating for a couple of days now, but this time something weird is going on. She does not remember what we have done yesterday or even the previous days. She does not remember we went to the park to watch fireworks display or even had make out together.

" Are you okay Kenzo?". She asked.

 I just stare at her. I don't know what  to tell her. She then continue to walk through the bridge . Suddenly she stop and ask, "I'm hungry, can we go buy some food please."

"Eliza, the- there is something I want to talk to you about." 

"You told me before that there's something you want me to know about. I guess this is the right time."

Then there's silence. She look down and turn her back . "Let's sit down right there." As she pointed out the bench. We walk through the bench and sit, then she start to discuss. She has a serious face when she begins explaining it to me.

"I know it will be more difficult for you. You see, I'm not living in this world, I'm from a different world, our time is different from yours. Your past it will be my future ."

At some point it makes me hard to believe what she is talking about, like that "world" she is talking about really exist?.

"When I was 5 years old there was a man who saved me from drowning . He was like 35 years old. That man was you 15 years later. Unbelievable right?" then she chuckle. 

It is shocking for me to hear everything that she's saying. I still don't understand everything and it is still not sinking in.

"I have a limited time to be with you . As the time passes by you will be moving forward while I'm moving backwards.      Time will come I'll leave and probably won't see you again. If this was a dream , I don't want to wake up again.  I wish to be with you my whole life."

Then suddenly sadness drawn on her face. 

"I may not be able to remember anything that had happened this past few days, but I will still try my best."

"Let's go to that stall, I forgot earlier that  I was hungry." 

I stand up and go with her to the stall to buy some food. "This one please." She requested as she is pointing out the order from the menu. "I want that one too." I said.

The man handle us our food. Well it's nothing special, it is just a burger. We sit next to the food stall to eat. 

"This burger is too good. Hmm!!" I just watch her angelic face while she is eating. I still can't remove my sadness from what she said earlier. Maybe I was just over thinking.

We go to the carnival next to the park, she is so excited to see some rides and watch people scream. 

 It looks like she is having fun this afternoon watching everyone. I'm starting to get worried of what will happened tomorrow. That the Eliza, I will be dating with will be a different person. 

Right now she's enjoying everything. We played different games, and visit every food stall in the area. She loves food, it's her happiness. 

" Kenzo , come here !" She smiled waving at me.  "Look!" while  pointing out the sunset. "Beautiful right?" 

I couldn't put a smile on my face . I still don't understand anything. I just look at the sunset. Hoping that it was all a dream. 

"Eliza, can you be the same person that I was dating yesterday?" I seriously look at her face. 

Later that evening, I go to the laundry shop to wash my dirty clothes and luckily I found Riley waiting for his clothes to dry.

He knows something happened and he can tell it by just looking at my face. "Did you have fight?" he ask. 

"Anyway I gotta go, see you tomorrow at school." Then he leaves.

I don't know if I will do what he just said a while ago or I'll just ignore and move forward. It's hard for me to accept the fact that she will leave me one day.  And there will be no chance to meet her again in the future.
