Luciano stood there looking like an ice sculpture. The long coat was no longer on his body, only his turtleneck remained. His hands were cross at his front and his cold murderous eyes fixed on his beta.

Beta Lio cursed under his breath before turning around and looking at his alpha. “I am your childhood friend, the one who has been with you through everything and the one who wants what is best for you. That is who I think I am, alpha.”

Luciano looked at his beta then took two steps towards him and now the men were on a staring contest. “So, friend. What reason would you have to ask my mate to reject me?” Luciano was fuming with anger but trying very hard to contain it.
