Prologue

The night was still as water in the lake, with the moon shining. Maria took refuge on the rock at the riverbank. She was deep in thought thinking about everything she has been through.

“What can I do to make it up to you?” asked the man she thought would be her everything. Her shoulder to cry and lean on. Her destined mate.

“I was wrong Maria, please forgive me.” he could no longer take her silence, her indifference, and her coldness towards him. It was more than punishment and he wanted it to stop.

“I will do anything, just please, talk to me, forgive me.” he pleaded and finally. The beautiful woman on the rock turned her head and looked at him with those cold distant eyes.

“Bring my parents back from the dead.” His heart sank and a lone tear escaped his eye. The watery pearl rolled down his cheek and dropped on his chest.
