The Gods

In the mystical land way beyond the moon. The Goddess of the moon, Selene was busy creating yet another spirit child, a soul that was to be born from two of his children of the moon, the Werewolves.

Serenity, her twin sister walked in just as she was planning her fate. She gasped when she saw it. “How could you Selene, how could you give her such a fate?” Serenity the mother of the children of night. The vampires. Asked, she had just walked into Selene’s working space when she saw the creature she had just made. A spirit child that was yet to be born in the world.

The siblings, all four of them came to visit Selene for their quarterly dinners. It was Selene’s turn to host. Serenity her twin was there, her brothers, Simon, the creator of the children of the sky. The dragons. Samuel, creator of the children of the water. The Mer people and the Naga people and Seun., creator of the children of land. The warlocks and witches. Were also in attendance. Selene and Serenity were twins and the youngest.

“Oh, shut it Serenity, no one says anything when you create your children.” By this time, their older brothers were standing by the door also seeing what Serenity had just seem.

“Fine, but if you insist on giving her such a fate then I will mate her with one of my children. The dark lord would be perfect for her, and she would at least know happiness in the dark life you have given her.”

Serenity did not wait for her sister to respond as she did exactly as she said. Mating the dark lord with the new soul. “Oh, come on Serenity! Stop messing with my creation. The dark lord is hundreds of years old and the oldest of your children.” Selene complained.

Simon walked into the room.

“Serenity is right, this child will face many difficulties, you are usually the nicer one of us all but today I do not know what upset you to give this soul such a fate. But I do agree with you. The dark lord is ancient but my dragon lord, the beast would be perfect for her.”

He too acted before Selene could do or say anything and mated the soul with his dragon lord. “Simon! How could you entertain this and participate in it as well. We agreed not to interfere with each other’s creations.” Selene was frustrated.

“Samuel, brother please say something!” Samuel who has been quiet walked forward. “Well, the only solution I have to this is to mate her with one of mine. Alex the manipulator, he is going to take her away into the water and none of your children will ever find her.” Samuel was just like his children. Manipulative and cunning.

He too did what the others did, gave the soul Selene created another mate, a ruthless sea creature of the Mer people.

In anger, Selene said. “You know what, do as you please but when things don’t go as well as you think they will, then I want you all back here fixing all this.” The Moon Goddess was frustrated by her siblings. It seemed they had all forgotten their agreement not to meddle in each other’s creations.

They did this once before and it did not end well. They tried creating a spirit child with the qualities of all their children’s abilities and powers combined. What came out was something monstrous.

The thing had no soul and had huge thirst for blood. It went after all their children killing and destroying them to satisfy it’s thirst. To fix the situation they all went down to earth to kill it as none of their children could.

It was too powerful for them and they. The gods and creators of it had to come together like they did when creating it now to destroy it. after that, they agreed never to interfere with each other’s creations, and they never did until today.

“Since we are all giving her mates then I too shall give her one. You all know my children are not as blood thirsty and evil as yours. Derrick, a powerful warlock would be perfect for her. she will need peace.” Selene could not believe her only hope just joined in on the fun.

Her brother Seun was the father of the children of the land. The warlocks and witches. “Since you have all decided to interfere in my business then I want you all gone. There will be no dinner tonight.” Selene was angry and her anger was justified.

“Not a problem then Selene, we will see each other at Simon’s in three months.” The siblings agreed and left Selene alone staring at the creation her siblings had ruined.

There was nothing she could do to undo what they had done. after so much thought, Selene released the soul she and her siblings had created into the world.

She was not sure how it would turn out or what consequences their actions would have on the child or their children. She was worried that the child was going to create chaos into the world just like the last one did.

Months passed with Selene keeping a close eye on the spirit child. On the nineth month, the child was born. Everyone thought she was of beta blood, but she was of alpha blood and the one they thought was of alpha blood was the one who was of beta blood. A twist of fate if you could call it that.

The child was also born with unusual markings. She had the marking of a witch, of a dragon, of a merman, of a wolf and fangs of a vampire. No one knew what they meant, and the parents never questioned it. they were just happy to have a child, but they knew she was going to be something special.

The beta had questions though, he knew his mate was cheating on him with the alpha, as he was cheating on her with the Luna. He wanted to ask who the father was but he knew he had no right to question his mate as he too was cheating and did not know if the alpha’s son, was his or the alpha’s.
