I slowly walked behind him. I watched Marina leave. Then I waited in the bedroom until it was time.

He couldn't hear me coming out of the bedroom because I was as quiet as a mouse. Over the years, I've practiced walking silently, and it came in handy time and time.

I watched him take a bottle of water out of the fridge and take a swig. I didn't do anything to him and waited until he finished drinking his water. I was not heartless. I wouldn't let him die thirsty.

"Hey," I said.

He turned around and looked at me. He had a surprised look on his face. "What are you doing here at this hour?" He asked.

"I can't sleep," I said.

"I can imagine you not being able to sleep after the stunt you pulled today. What were you thinking?" He sounded angry.

"I didn't come here to hear you lecture me," I smirked.
