(Cassie's POV)

“What is the matter with both of you?!” the old woman asked.

“Look, I don't know why you're screaming but it's not good for you,” I tell her.

“I don't wanna hear another word from you”.

She turned when the door closed.

“How's she now?” she asked Elise.

Elise sighed.

“What really happened, Cassandra?” Elise asked me.

I remained quiet and got back to flipping through the Vogue magazine.

Michelle sighed.

“Elise, how's Blair?”

Blair walked in with a cast around her arm and a bandage around her head. Her face... all bruised up.

“Oh,” they chorused.

“I thought I told you to rest,” Elise said firmly.

“I don't need to rest. I'm fine” Blair said looking directly at me.

“There, she said it. She's fine. Now I'm leaving” I said and jumped up from my seat.

“Don't you dare take another step young lady!” Dad barks.

“Oh gimmie a break, dad.”

“No. I'm afraid I'm going to have to punish you” he said.

“But dad—”

“No son. I'm going to have to punish your sister.”
