(Cassie's POV)

I repeatedly hit the punching bag.

“Harder Cassandra! Harder!” Calvin barked at me.

I rolled my eyes. Did he know how hard it was for me? It had been three months and I was still training.

“Imagine Alpha Jace was in trouble and you were fighting the enemies to save him!”

I chuckled.

“Technically, it's supposed to be the opposite... since that's not how the stories usually go. My mate is supposed to protect me and do the saving, not the other way around. I mean I didn't ask to be the damsel in distress but that's how you've all painted it so—”

“Just shut up and punch the bag harder!” he barked even louder.

I kept my mouth shut.

“Imagine that bag you're punching was Yolanda” Summer panted, punching hers too.

A new sense of fury filled me up and I punched the bag even harder than before. Summer grinned.

“Yes! That's more like it, Cassandra! Keep at it!” Calvin yelled with satisfaction.
