Katrina’s POV

Angie.

Of course.

I stood frozen in place as Angie walked closer, her arms still crossed over her chest. She stopped a few feet away from me, her eyes moving around the room like she was inspecting every corner. She always had that look on her face—half amused, half suspicious—as if she knew a secret no one else did and thought she was smarter because of it.

Her blonde ponytail swung slightly as she tilted her head at me. Not a single strand of her perfect hair was out of place. Her lips curved into a sly smirk. “Well, well,” she said slowly, drawing out the words like she was savoring them. “Didn’t expect to see you here, Katrina.”

I swallowed the lump in my throat and tried to make my expression neutral. My heart was still pounding in my chest, and I could feel the heat of it in my cheeks. I stood up straighter, wiping invisible dust off my jeans

Katrina’s POVI moved slowly through the quiet library, the soft sound of my shoes brushing against the floor the only thing I could hear. The space was massive and strangely peaceful, like time had stopped in there. Tall shelves lined every wall, stacked with books of all colors, sizes, and shapes. Some looked new, but many looked like they hadn’t been touched in years, with dust coating their tops and pages peeking out like secrets trying to escape.I ran my fingers across the spines, feeling the rough textures and worn edges. I wasn’t even sure what I was searching for, but I had to try. There had to be something—anything—that could explain the silver flame on my finger, or that strange, beautiful woman with white hair from my dream.I paused in front of a tall wooden shelf with a small sign at the top that said Pack Histories & Myths. It looked older than the other shelves, and the books there had that old dusty smell, like they hadn’t been touched in a long time.My eyes moved qu

  • Marked By Fate: The Alpha Who Loved Me   Chapter 49

Katrina’s POVI finally fell asleep again, though my mind stayed restless, full of questions and strange images—white wolves, silver fire, the woman with moonlight in her hair. But exhaustion pulled me under eventually, and the next time I opened my eyes, it was morning.Soft sunlight filtered through my bedroom curtains, bathing the room in a warm golden glow. I blinked a few times, slowly adjusting to the light. My blanket was bunched around my waist, and I stretched my arms over my head with a small yawn. My body felt heavy but rested. There was a quiet knock on the door.I sat up quickly, brushing hair out of my face. My heart did a little flip even before I opened it, like it already knew who was on the other side.I padded barefoot across the room and pulled the door open. And there he was.Liam.He stood there in the hallway, bathed in the soft glow of the morning light pouring in from the window down the hall. His black t-shirt hugged his chest in a way that made it impossible

  • Marked By Fate: The Alpha Who Loved Me   Chapter 48

Alpha Jacob’s POVI stood at the window in my office, my hands clasped behind my back, my jaw tight. The night was quiet, almost too quiet. The full moon hung in the sky like a glowing eye, casting pale silver light over the forest that stretched far beyond the pack borders. I could see the shadows of the trees swaying in the wind. Somewhere out there… Katrina was hiding.I clenched my fists. She had turned eighteen yesterday. That meant her powers had started awakening. I could feel the shift in the air. Like something had cracked open in the world. Something dangerous… but powerful. And that power belonged to her. My power. The one I’d been waiting for. The one her mother had tried to keep hidden from me.I turned from the window and walked across the room, my boots echoing on the marble floor. I moved fast. I was angry. No… more than angry. I was furious. She had slipped away. The rogues I sent had failed. She had escaped like a shadow in the night. But she wouldn’t stay hidden for

  • Marked By Fate: The Alpha Who Loved Me   Chapter 47

Katrina’s POVAs I stood in the middle of a forest I didn’t recognize, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was meant to be there… even if I didn’t know how or why. The place didn’t feel scary. It felt calm. Still. Almost like the whole world had gone quiet, just holding its breath. The trees were taller than any I’d ever seen, thick trunks with twisting branches that reached far into the sky. Their leaves rustled softly, moving with the cool breeze that brushed against my skin. Above me, the moon hung full and bright, casting a silvery light over everything. It looked bigger than usual—closer somehow—and more beautiful too. Like it was watching me. Like it knew something I didn’t.I took a slow breath. The air smelled sweet, like wildflowers and dew. Everything around me shimmered just a little, like the forest had been dusted with moonlight. I didn’t feel cold or warm. I just felt… right. Like I belonged there. Then I saw her.A woman. She was standing a few feet ahead of me, her bac

  • Marked By Fate: The Alpha Who Loved Me   Chapter 46

Katrina’s POVAnd then, just like that, we were moving. He ran through the woods like he belonged there—smooth, powerful strides that made it feel like we were flying. The wind whipped past my face, cool and refreshing, carrying the earthy smell of pine needles, wet bark, and wildflowers. Leaves brushed against my legs, and I had to duck under a few low-hanging branches as he weaved through the trees. My heart was pounding, but not in a scared way. In a good way. In a free way.I closed my eyes for a moment and let the sounds of the forest surround me. The soft rustle of leaves, the distant hoot of an owl, the quiet rhythm of water somewhere up ahead. For the first time in a long while, I wasn’t worrying about anything. Not about being weak. Not about not having a wolf. Not about being rejected or judged or broken.I just was.And I felt safe.Eventually, Lim began to slow down. His big wolf body moved gently now, no longer rushing. I blinked and opened my eyes fully as he stepped thr
