CHAPTER 66: SWITCHING LOCATIONS.

LIANA'S POV.

"Hey. Take care of yourself, okay?" Annie said as we hugged. She had returned from the restroom.

"I will. And take care of yourself as well, okay?" I said.

"You know I always do," she smiled, and she giggled softly. Breaking the hug, we looked at each other and smiled.

"I'll definitely pay you a visit before I return in a week. I'll go visit my family back in Alaska before I come over to L.A. So you'd better be ready to make my visit a memorable

  • Marked By The Alpha Who Never Was    CRAZY MORNING.

CHAPTER 130: CRAZY MORNING.Creeping, Vicky tip-toed her way out of Carl's room. They had spent the night together. He was still asleep when she left. She usually left his room earlier than that, but for some reason, she overslept, not responding to the alarm she had set to wake her up early. She had taken a couple of steps when she was stunned when she ran into Francisco. "Vicky.""Francisco! Hi," she chuckled nervously. "What are you doing out so early? It's the weekend. You usually stay in your room for hours till you're called upon to go have breakfast," Francisco inquired."Well, I needed to come get something, Carl. I thought he had it all along, but it turns out that he doesn't. What a waste it was coming here," Vicky replied, scoffing. "Well, such happens," Francisco commented. "Anyway, I'd better go take care of things. Please, excuse me." He bowed and walked past Vicky. She sighed in relief and continued back to her room. Gradually, everyone at the Alpha's villa was up

  • Marked By The Alpha Who Never Was    NOT THE GIRL I WAS.

CHAPTER 129: NOT THE GIRL I WAS.LIANA'S POV.I keenly observed Trevor, trying to assess him to find any weak spots I could easily identify and capitalize on — all instincts I never expressed nor experienced before. I concluded that it must have been the wolf in me, being predatory. But Trevor gave no obvious opening. He just stood seemingly carelessly, so I didn't know where to start from. Rather than overthinking it, I lunged at Trevor, throwing punches. He skillfully evaded them, seemingly not dissipating much energy. It was very annoying to have him evade my attacks in that manner. While all that was happening, I studied his movements. It was as though my brain was split in two. I found myself attacking, and at the same time studying my opponent — Another thing I never knew I was capable of.'Bingo!' I found my opening. A mild smirk crept up my face at that point. While Trevor dodged my attacks, I took note of his footwork. So after I attacked above, throwing punches, making su

  • Marked By The Alpha Who Never Was    THE RESOLUTION WE BOTH NEEDED.

CHAPTER 128: THE RESOLUTION WE BOTH NEEDED.LIANA'S POV. I lay awake in bed from as early as 4:17 am. Heck, I wasn't able to get the rest I wanted, so it wouldn't be out of place to say I couldn't sleep. Every time I managed to drift into slumber, the images came rushing into my head. The images weren't the main problem; the emotions and feelings attached to those hurtful memories were what made the night terrible. I literally was reliving a past I still wasn't sure was mine. But there was no denying the fact that the emotions were real.I took a deep breath in and exhaled. I felt a great deal of relief. As I turned to the side, I found Annie wide awake. "Couldn't get some sleep either, huh?" I asked. She just sighed and raised her brow in response, pursing her lips. "I kept seeing what happened to my parents. I kept seeing my parents getting killed, over and over, every single time I closed my eyes. How the heck could I have brought myself to sleep, only to be tortured by those

  • Marked By The Alpha Who Never Was    A DIFFERENT LIANA?

CHAPTER 127: A DIFFERENT LIANA?TREVOR'S POV.The door to Manuel's room was opened just after a knock. The person didn't even request permission to enter before they did. Boraz and the pack's doctor walked in. "Boss!" Boraz quickly bowed, as did the doctor. "I didn't know you were here." "Why are you here with Dr Lee?" I asked. I was truly curious to know."We came here to check on Manuel, to see how he's doing," Boraz replied. "So something did happen, huh?" I asked."Uh, hasn't he told you yet, Boss?" Boraz asked, furrowing his brow as he looked at me, and then at Manuel. "That's why I'm here, to find out what happened," I responded. "Go on. Repeat all that you told me," Boraz instructed Manuel."By the time we left the house and arrived at Chroma, Miss Liana and her friend, Annie, headed in while I waited at the car. They spent over three hours in there, and by the time they returned, they seemed rather out of it," he began."On our way back, we ran into someone wearing a hood

  • Marked By The Alpha Who Never Was    CHANGES BEYOND DOUBT.

CHAPTER 126: CHANGES BEYOND DOUBT.TREVOR'S POV.A few meters away from the house, the gates swung open, letting us pass through unhindered. The lead vehicle did its job, informing the men at the gate of our arrival. The cars were parked, and I alighted as Boraz opened the door for me. I nodded in appreciation and began heading in. I looked to the side and saw that the vehicle Liana and her friend went out with was parked. 'They're home,' I said elatedly within me.I then headed into the house, at this point, having only the desire to get some rest. In the living area, I saw Debbie sitting there. She seemed to be staring blankly at the television. I could tell because the television was off. "Hey, Aunty D," I greeted her. "Trevor. You're back," she said, turning. "Yeah," I replied. "What are you doing here all by yourself at this time of the night?" "I just couldn't bring myself to get some shut-eye," she replied weakly. I walked closer to her and placed my hand on her shoulder

  • Marked By The Alpha Who Never Was    HYBRIDS REBORN?

CHAPTER 125: HYBRIDS REBORN?TREVOR'S POV.I lowered my glass as I let in the sweet night breeze. The air, as we got to the higher plain of Los Angeles, was cooler due to the altitude and the vegetation that encompassed the vast hilly landscape.I felt so much relief. It sure felt good to know that my evening was fruitful. For most of our commute, I reminisced on my encounter with the detective — Mario. "He's quite an interesting individual, don't you think?" I blurted, looking out the window. "Sorry, Boss. I didn't catch what you said," Boraz said as he turned his head toward me. I could see him from the corner of my eye. "The detective. He's quite something, huh?" I repeated, but reframing it differently. "He is, Boss. Quite the determined man he is." "He is. But it wasn't exactly what I was referring to. I was talking about his breed of werewolf." "Oh! Yes. He sure didn't look normal. Those eyes... We've never seen nor heard of that pigmentation before. Or have you, Boss?" B
