Chapter 4. Come With Me

RICHARD'S POV

It was difficult finding her, but I guess the moon goddess was on my side. After weeks of searching, I finally found her in a moon world pack. I also found out something interesting. 

I was her second chance mate too, for the crown prince of the moon world pack, discovered she was his mate, and due to her low status, of her being an omega, he decided to reject her and choose someone else of higher status and bloodline, as his chosen mate and future Luna.

"What a bastard!" My wolf, Eric, cursed furiously, annoyed with the way the douchebag treated our mate. "It's okay Eric, I am super pissed too," I told Eric, trying to calm him down."But everything turned out well in our favour," I added.

"How?" Eric growled. It was obvious he was still angry. "If he did not reject her, we would never have met her, and even if we did, it is sure, she would not have chosen us," I told Eric, and he calmed down, probably seeing sense in what I said.

"So, what do we do now?" He asked. "Storm the place, and get our mate to come with us. It is time to save her from all the humiliations and belittlement she had gone through," I told Eric, and he couldn't agree less. “When?" He asked. , "In four days" I replied with an evil grin.

"Why four days, and not now?" Eric asked impatiently. “Because that day would be a joyous day for the idiotic crown prince since he would be crowned Alpha then," I replied, at first, Eric was confused, wondering what I meant. Then it occurred to him, and he smirked dangerously.

“Aren't you so cunning, Richard?" He teased, and I smirked. "What better day is it to ruin for the crown prince, if not the day of his coronation?" I asked, having an evil thought in mind. 

“I was going to make the bastard pay for breaking my mate's heart," I thought furiously, clenching my knuckles tightly, before punching the wall in front of me aggressively, wishing it was Justin's face instead. Everywhere was beautifully decorated, with flowers and ribbons. I sighted a banner up with the words, "IT IS TIME FOR A NEW REIGN "in bold italics.

I scoffed, wondering if the pack members were too stupid to understand the type of new Alpha they were going to have, or just decided to be blind to his actions. Anyway, it was none of my business, I thought.

I grinned as I walked further and closer to where the coronation was taking place. I stepped into the hall and witnessed the bastard's arms around my mate. I thought he rejected her, or was my source wrong?' I wondered. I doubt it, I thought.

Eric growled inside me possessively, wanting to take control and jump right in front of the idiot, to dismember his filthy arms, but I cautioned Eric, for now, was not the time."Why are you stopping me?" He growled furiously.

"Chill, let's observe things first," I told him, despite having the same urge as Eric. I just needed to act with caution, for I was seeing an old man diagnosing our mate. Instantly, I grew worried, the same as Eric, who became unstable, once again.

"Is the mate perhaps sick?" He asked, worried, boldly laced in his tone. 'Eric had never talked to me this way before, ever since Amaya's death'. I thought and ignored his questions and focused on the view in front of me.

Suddenly, I heard the old man, who I assume to be the pack healer, mention that Elsa was pregnant. I froze, meanwhile, Eric was flipping around my head in excitement. "Mate is carrying our pup". I saw Nita trembling as she started to deny the pack healer's words.

“No," she said in denial. " It's not true, you are lying" She yelled, fear obvious in her expression, and my heart ached for her. “No man has ever…”, she stopped her sentence right there. I guess, probably remembering our lovemaking a few weeks ago.

“No man has ever what?" Justin growled, his eyes filled with rage, and I gave a satisfied smile at that moment. Yes, the bastard should know, she has been taken by someone else since he could not appreciate her,' I thought, feeling possessive of my alluring, beautiful mate.

She shivered, keeping quiet and not having anything to say. Just then, I heard a loud sound, and my eyes turned furry red immediately. “How dare he hurt our mate?" Eric growled furiously, ready to shed blood.

I heard Nita gasp as she moved her right hand to her left cheek in disbelief. “Who touched you?" Justin roared, clenching his fists, his eyes blazing from Jealousy, and I scoffed at his audacity. I decided to come out then and began walking to the stage majestically, as I replied, "I did". 

Everyone's eyes immediately turned to me, and whispers began going on. Nita was stunned to see me, and gulped nervously, biting her lower lips. She raised her head, and our eyes met before she looked away shyly. I chuckled at her cute expression.

"Who are you?" Justin growled, casting me a furious look, but I just ignored him and went to my beautiful mate, and took her into my arms. She gasped, but did not try struggling, and just pressed herself deeper into me. Wanting my warmth and protection, I guess.

Just then, Eric started flipping in excitement, and I wondered why. I was just about to ask why when he blurted it out himself. "She acknowledged us". Just then, Nita,r should I say her wolf growled. "MATE. " I smiled at that. Everyone gave a loud gasp, surprised, most especially Justin.

I could not be more pleased with his surprised expression. "IMPOSSIBLE" He growled. “I am your mate," He added possessively, and I just scoffed, not believing how shameful he could be. "Her mate?" I echoed in disbelief, earning a glare from him.

“I thought you rejected her," I reminded him, just in case he had forgotten. "And who the hell are you to speak?" He asked, hatred boldly visible in his eyes, for me, but I couldn't care less. “Nita's second chance mate, and the Lycan King, of the greatest Crystal light pack," A voice replied, and we all turned to know who it was.
