Chapter 5. Taking Her To His Pack (1)

Nita's POV

“Nita's second chance mate, and the Lycan King, of the greatest Crystal light pack" A voice replied, and I looked up to see a blonde-haired man, dressed in a casual shirt and pants, standing at the entrance door.

My heart skipped a bit when I heard what he said. My eyes darted to the man I had a one-night stand with.

'So, he is a King?’ I thought with widened eyes.

It was as if a spell was cast on us all. We stayed rooted in our position, no one was daring to move. The man walked forward and whispered into the ear of the guy I had one-night-stand with. My heart flutters at the thought of him being my second chance mate.

My eyes blurred with tears and I don't know when it was disrupted from my throat. That broke even one's trance. “T-The K-King?” Justin stuttered, pointing at the King fearfully. “Yes, the King,” the blonde-haired man affirmed and my stomach tied up a knot.

“I am Grey, the beta of Crystal Light Pack,” he introduced himself before his gaze landed on me. He smiled and gave me a curt bow whispering some words that took long before it sank into my head. “Luna,” that was what he said. The King looked at me with a small smile playing on his lips.

“Your Majesty,” everyone in the room bowed at him but I only kept gazing at him. I was still in shock to digest all that was happening. First was my sudden pregnancy, then finding my second chance mate, and on top of that, he is the King!

“I am here to take MY mate with me to my pack,” he declared in a stern voice and Justin was the first to object. “Alpha, you can't do that. Yes, I did reject her but it was all for a reason. I did that out of…” he got interrupted by Gia.

“Alpha, I think it would be best if she leaves. We are having our coronation after all…” “How dare you interrupt me when I am talking?!” Justin snapped at her angrily. I flinched at the intensity of his words, making me shut my eyes.

I have heard of the Lycan King before, Richard Wilson. He was said to be a powerful King with authority. I felt a shadow blocking my view and I opened my eyes to see him crouching before me. I was a bit startled and moved backward but he held my wrist already.

“Easy there… tigress,” he teased me, using the same line he had used when we first met. I looked down at his hand that was holding my wrist, I felt the spark and tingle around where he had held me. “You can feel it, right?” He asked and I suddenly felt shy, turning my head away from him.

He chuckled and helped me up. He smiled at me and looked over at the furious Justin. “Whatever your reasons might be. You have rejected her already, which was why the moon goddess gave her to me,” he pointed to himself, stating his point in a stern voice.

“No, King. You can't do this, this is my pack and I have every right…” Justin was silenced by Richard's question. “Who is the ruler here?!” He demanded a loud voice. I guess he used his Alpha tone on Justin because he was on his knees already.

He didn't respond and only grumbled. Richard looked over at the blonde-haired man. “Is the car ready?” He asked and the man responded, “Yes, Alpha,” “Good,” he muttered and pulled me with him out of the room but Justin's loud voice stopped us in our tracks.

“I can't accept this! This is a total power abuse! You are using your power because you are the King and I was just a mere Alpha. This is cheating! A total exploitation!” He ranted and Richard roared beside me.

“Hey!” His eyes showed fury as he turned and pointed his index finger at Justin. “Do. Not. Provoke. Me. Understood?” He warned through his gritted teeth as he glared at Justin. “I will let this slide. But the very next time you utter those dirty words at me again…” he paused and gave a wicked chuckle.

“Prepare yourself to brace for the consequences,” he threatened before turning and pulling me out with him. He was walking at a fast pace and I was having a hard time meeting up with him. I bit my lips, trying to meet up with his pace.

“Please, slow down,” I whispered in a pleading tone. He stopped and looked at me, I looked up at him, blinking my eyelashes rapidly. The event of our first night flashed in my eyes and I felt a blush creep on my cheeks.

“I am sorry,” I was taken aback by his apology and my eyes widened when I felt him walking closer. He hugged me. The sensation I was feeling on my skin was something I had never experienced before. I felt complete and alive.

'Aww, he is such a cutie,’ Daphne purred in my head and a smile formed on my lips. He kept rubbing my back and I contemplated if I should hug him back or not. “Will he see me as a very forward person if I do that?” I asked my wolf.

'What's the need of acting shy now after you have boldly kissed a total stranger?’ she snarled while I rolled my eyes. It was my mistake to even seek her opinion.

Richard pulled away from the hug and I looked down at my feet. He used his index finger to bring my face up to look at me. “I missed you,” he confessed and I knew I instantly turned red like a tomato.

Was he doing?!’ I screamed in my head. I was having a hard time gazing at him in the eye. “I will take that as he missed me too,” he said, dropping my face and he chuckled. “W-What?” I stuttered, referring to what made him think I missed him too.
