JACE

I watched as the students were carefully carried out and loaded into a vehicle, bound for the healers' quarters. The scene was chaotic, but the healers were working efficiently to get everyone treated.

As I stood there, I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to this situation than met the eye. It seemed like a deliberate attack, but what was the motive? And who would be behind something like this?

I turned to Elias and Lucian, who were standing nearby, their faces grim with concern. "What do you guys think?" I asked, keeping my voice low.

Elias's eyes narrowed. "I think it's clear that someone wanted to take us down, or at least, weaken us. But the question is, who?"

Lucian's jaw clenched. "And what's their real intention? This doesn't feel like a random attack to me."

I nodded in agreement. "I think you're both right. There's more to this than just a prank gone wrong. We need to figure out who did this and why."

I looked up at Lucian, confusion etched on my face. "Who is Elara?" I asked.Lucian's expression changed, and he realized whom he had just called me. "I'm sorry, I meant to say Isla," he said, trying to cover. But I shook my head. "No, I want to know who Elara is. Because my wolf name is Elara," I said, my voice firm.“You've hit your head, haven't you?”Lucian chuckled, looking at me like I was crazy. "You've forgotten your pack of the Delta Wolf, and they are human. You're human, you don't have a wolf. You're no werewolf."I looked at him, my eyes locked on his. "I'm a wolf. I have a wolf," I said, my voice steady.Lucian's expression changed, and he looked at me like I was a puzzle he couldn't solve. "What are you talking about?"I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I was tired of hiding who I was from Lucian. And since I saw myself in a wedding dress in a picture on his table in his room, I felt even more drawn to him. It was like we were more than mates."

  • Marked By The Moon: Tied To The Four Alphas   55. Are You Hurt?

"What happened while I was asleep?" Elara asked, her voice curious.I sighed, shaking my head. "Apart from almost getting killed because I caught an abomination from two men, nothing else serious."Elara's expression was unreadable. "Okay…" she said. "But, what’s with the ticking sound?"“Sound?”I looked at her, confused. "What sound? what are you talking of?""Listen, Isla and use your power," Elara instructed.I nodded and closed my eyes immediately, focusing my ears and straining it. Suddenly, I could hear even the faintest sounds - the owl in the bush, the sound of hushed voices from afar. Everything in 100 meter radius. “Wow.” I exclaimed."Focus, Isla, focus on just this building," Elara said.I concentrated, tuning out the other noises. Using my powers felt exhilarating, like a rush of adrenaline. I could feel my senses expanding, taking in every detail. But then, as the only sound in the building became clearer, I could heard the ticking sound coming from below the building,

"I saw nothing," I said, trying to sound convincing. "I'm short-sighted, anyway."Elias and Jace looked at me, then back at each other, probably in disbelief. Elias's voice was low and questioning. "Why did you hide, then?"I thought fast, trying to come up with a plausible explanation. I remembered the small flower pot that I had accidentally knocked over while hiding. "Something fell down," I said, pointing to the pot. "I was just going to pick it up. I wasn't hiding."I looked up at them, trying to appear innocent. "What happened? Was there something I was supposed to see?"Jace shook his head. "No, it's nothing. I'm sorry for Elias's actions earlier."But Elias wasn't convinced. He took a step closer to me, his eyes narrowing. "Why is your heart beating so fast? I can hear it pounding."I seethed at myself in my mind, willing my heart to stop racing. But it seemed to be beating even faster now. Shit! I sweared in my head. Stop beating, stop beating, stop beating! Stop! I shouted

  • Marked By The Moon: Tied To The Four Alphas   53. Are You Going To Kill Me Now?

ISLAI was going to open the door when I heard the knock but then the person behind the door started to knock harder and faster even more persistent. I shivered backwards. Rushing to my bed, I cowered, my heart racing as the door was being forced open. I shivered with fear, my mind racing with thoughts of what I was going to do or how I was going to escape. But there was no way out. I was trapped. As the door shifted open, my body tensed up, and I prepared for the worst. I heard the low growl of a wolf, and my blood ran cold. The sound sent shivers down my spine.I saw Elias standing in the doorway, his eyes glowing red with anger. Jace was walking behind him, his expression worried. I felt a surge of fear as Elias's gaze locked onto me. I was frozen in terror, unable to move or speak. The growling sound was coming from Elias, and it only seemed to intensify my fear. I was paralyzed with fear, unsure of what was going to happen next. Would they hurt me? Would they kill me? The uncer

JACEElias's eyes searched mine, confusion and concern etched on his face. "What's wrong? Why did you stop?"I shook my head, my voice barely above a whisper. "Are you crazy? We can't do this. It's forbidden."But before I could say more, Elias's gaze shifted, and he looked up at the building behind me. His eyes widened in worry and fear, and I felt a jolt of panic.I turned to follow his gaze, and that's when I saw her - a female student hiding in the shadows of her window, after watching us. My heart sank, and I felt like I'd been punched in the gut and doomed for death.I looked back at Elias, and our eyes met. I could see the worry and panic in his eyes, and I knew that we were in trouble. What were we going to do now?Elias's eyes glowed red, and his speed increased. Before I could even react, he rushed past me in a blur into the building, disappearing from sight.I was left standing there, frozen in fear, wondering what would happen next. Who was that by the window? Had we been
