Samantha's POV

“Congratulations, Luna. You're three weeks pregnant,” the Pack's doctor said, his voice light with a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

I blinked, stunned. “What did you say?“

He handed me the report. “Here.“

I snatched the parchment paper from him, my eyes scanning through it and indeed, I was pregnant. I didn't wait. I ran out of the infirmary with the report clutched in my hands.

My joy knew no bounds. Finally! After three years of marriage, I have a child to call my own. And hopefully this child would change everything between my husband, Alpha Knox of the Duskwatch Pack and I.

I have been mocked by everyone in the Pack for being barren, but now the narrative would change. I would be able to square my shoulders and raise my head after I give birth to an heir.

I got to his study, knocked once. Twice.

No response.

But I could hear his inaudible voice from inside, so I just twisted the knob open and stepped inside.

My breath caught at the sight of the scene unfolding before me, raw pain coursing through my body as the report fell off my trembling hands.

Knox was standing naked in the center of the room, but he wasn't alone. My sister, Seraphina was naked too and was on her knees in front of him, thrusting his cock in and out of her mouth.

Knox's head was thrown back in pleasure, his hands gripping her head while spit and cum was drooling out of her mouth, her fingers digging into his thighs.

Tears stung my eyes as I stood there, watching them—unnoticed yet.

This is my husband and sister for goddess sake. The two people I trusted the most in this world.

I swallowed past the bile rising in my throat. “What the hell is happening here?“ I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Their heads snapped towards me, but they didn't stop. Instead Knox groaned in pleasure, eyes dark like he was about to reach climax. Seraphina's lips curled into a smirk.

And just like that, he pulled out of her mouth, and she swallowed his cum like the slut that she is.

This was it. This was the highest level of disrespect and betrayal anyone can get.

As much as I wanted to let my tears fall and scream the place down, I know I couldn't. This was no time nor place for weakness. I have to confront them.

I forced my legs further into the room. “You whore! How can you be screwing my husband?! You're my sister for God's sake!“ I roared, my voice surprisingly steady.

Seraphina didn't say a word. She stood up gracefully, picked up her clothes that were scattered across the floor and started putting them on.

Knox was putting on his pants.

My rage boiled over. “I'm talking to you.“ My hand connected to her face.

Pa!

The impact snapped her head to the side. She clenched her cheeks. “Are you crazy?“ She spat through gritted fangs, glaring at me murderously.

Knox stood between us, his jaw tightened, and his fists clenched. “What the hell are you doing, Samantha?“ He let out a growl and then turned back at her, holding her to his chest. “Are you okay?“

She nodded slowly.

I ran a hand through my hair as frustration coursed through my bones as I watch my husband care for another woman like she was his world while I'm just the villain in their love story.

“You both are shameless!“

“No!“ Knox's eyes were blazing with barely restrained fury. “You're the shameless one! You think I don't know about you secret affair with Ashen?“

The words sounded like a bad music to my ear. Ashen was his Beta. My best friend. He was one of the few people I have in my corner.

“What the hell are you talking about?“ I spat, confused.

“Seraphina already told me everything, so don't you dare deny it,” he added, buttoning his shirt.

Air ripped off my lungs, my fingers digging into my palm. “Seraphina, where did you get that nonsense from? I will never cheat on you, Knox. You know I won't.“

I think I saw his eyes soften for a moment, but it disappeared just as quickly. “There are witnesses to prove your affair with him.“

“What?“ I snapped, my heart racing with fear.

How could this be?

Witnesses? To prove something that never happened?

I turned towards Seraphina and her lips curled into a smirk as if she was enjoying every bit of my devastation. She did this. “You….“

Then Seraphina walked past me and took the report that I had dropped earlier. Her eyes were glued to it.

“Give me that,” I said, reaching out to grab it but she sidestep and stood beside Knox.

“Look, Knox….“ She extended the report to him. “She's pregnant! She's carrying Ashen's baby.“ Her voice echoed through the room.

“What?“ He snatched the report from her, his eyes scanning it. Then he glance at me. “You whore!“ His hand connected to my face in a sharp and stinging slap.

I stumble to the floor, my side hitting the floor sharply and pain rippled through me.

Clenching my cheeks, tears slide down my cheeks. I glanced up at his towering form. “I didn't… do it." My voice broke. “You should trust Ashen and I, over this bitch.“

He didn't say anything; just stood there, chest heaving. But he had an expression that seems like he was contemplating my words.

I continued. “This child is yours. I swear to the Moon.“

“Don't tell me you believe her, Knox. I saw her messing around with Ashen in his bedroom. She was moaning so loudly, talking about how you've been neglecting her,” Seraphina said, her voice sure and steady.

Bitch!

True, Knox has been neglecting me. Our marriage isn't a really rosy one since it was his father who forced him to marry me before he can take the throne.

We weren't fated mate and I know I was the last person he would ever want to marry since I was weak and wolfless. But I have loved him since I was fifteen—until this very moment.

The late Alpha Lawrence had a special likeness for me and I know if he was alive, all these won't be happening.

“Knox… please.“ I crawl towards him, holding his legs. “Don't listen to Seraphina.“

There was a long, tense silence.

“Fine,” he finally said. “Stand up. We're going to the pack hospital, now. A DNA test must be conducted immediately. “

I wiped my tears with the back of my hand, my hope renewed. I pushed myself up and nodded.

Disappointment flooded Seraphina's face but she quickly masked it. “You’ll regret trusting her, Knox. Mark my words,” she said before storming out of the room.

My heart raced as everything happened so fast—Knox drove me to the hospital and the DNA test was conducted. The doctor said the results would be available in the next three days.

Ashen and I haven't seen eachother since then because Knox had put the both of us under house arrest. Only Aliya, my personal maid is allowed to come in to bring me my food.

And now, today is the third day.

I paced my room, heart pounding louder than a thunderstorm. I know I’ve been faithful throughout our three years of marriage, but I still couldn’t keep calm

Suddenly the door flung open. Knox stepped in with the report in his hands, his expression was unreadable. A beat passed before a small smile spread across his face.

I managed a smile too. Finally! He must have known the truth.

I released a breath that I didn't realise I have been holding. Then took a step forward, my voice trembling. “What does it say?”

Samantha's POV My memory went blank at first when Thorne asked me for my name, but the moment he stepped forward, fixed his stormy gray eyes on me and asked me 'who the hell are you?'Suddenly, the memories clawed at me, suffocating me. So I just snapped, “Why did you care?“ “What?“ He blinked, clearly not expecting that. Like what I had just said was an abomination. He looked at me—really looked at me. As if trying to see past my skin, past the blood and bruises, into whatever monster he imagined I might be.I knew he was an Alpha. The tension in the room practically revealed it. But who cares about that? He was tall. Broad shoulders with a fine jawline and stormy gray eyes that could cut through steel. But I was already broken, so there was nothing left to intimidate anymore.“Is this how you talk to someone who saved your life?“ He asked, his voice tight with barely restrained anger.I met his glare head on. “Did I ask you to save me?“ I fired back. Then my hand dropped to my
