Xena’s POV

I was discharged sooner than I expected or that I wanted. The doctors said that I was fine and I just needed some rest. I almost couldn't stop myself from asking them if they wanted a patient they could experiment on.

I stepped outside, my arms wrapped tightly around my stomach. I got to the road to stop a taxi when a car pulled up in front of me. Unmistakable…From Kael's.

I froze, my heart skipped a beat. I glanced around, looking for a place to run to. Did Lady Megan tell Kael about me? Why is Kael's man here of all time?

The driver stepped out of the car. He was a tall, maybe 6 '2 handsome russian looking guy, he walked towards me with a smirk.

“My Lady,” he said in a calm voice that still screams that I'm dead.

“How do you know that I was here?”

“It's my duty to know where you are at all times, ma'am,” he said, opening the back door.

I looked into the car. “Do Kael know I was admitted?”

“I'm sorry I can't answer that.”
