Rejection

Walking down the stairs, Annabelle had ignored all the greetings made by the maids to her.

After being caught by the strange guy which she later found out to be the Alpha, she had been avoiding everyone.

How could she be a Luna when she knows nothing about werewolves.

The thoughts of living with half human and half animals always freaked her out.

She still had her plans of escaping, but wouldn't she still get caught?

She couldn't live with supernatural beings because she was the weakest amongst them.

"Luna, Alpha demands to see you right now," one of the maids said to her.

She suddenly became scared on hearing what the maid said but behaved boldly as she passed the maid as though she hadn't heard what she had said.

Walking into the room, she sat on the bed as she wondered what would happen to her if she turned the Alpha's request of meeting him down.

But how could he request for her presence and expect her to be there when he knows that she had been ignoring him all this while.

"What is it!" she asked angrily as she heard a knock on the door.

"Luna please Alpha demands to see you," the maid said.

"I'm going nowhere," she said as she covered her ears with her cushion.

"Please Luna, you need to meet him now before he gets pissed off," the maid continued pleading.

"Tell him that I am ill, very ill," she said before running into the bathroom as she couldn't hear any more pleas.

Seated on a stool while staring at the blank wall in thoughts, Annabelle didn't budge when she heard the creaking sound of the door which signifies that she wasn't alone in the bathroom.

"Annabelle," she heard Alpha Alvin call but pretended not to have heard as she continued staring at the wall.

"Stop ignoring me, Annabelle," he said but still didn't receive any response from her.

"Okay, what do you want," he inquired, knowing quite well what her answer would be.

"I want to go home," she said soberly as she turned to face him.

"Don't you have any different requests?" he asked as he walked towards her.

"No I don't!" she said while glaring at him.

"I can't grant you your request," he said which made her heart drop.

"I hate you," she said before standing up and walking out of the bathroom.

"Letting you go means putting your life at stake, don't you get it!" Alpha Alvin said as he walked into the bedroom also.

"It's my life Alvin, and not yours!" she yelled at him as she wiped away her tears.

"You are my mate Annabelle, my soul mate, so if you don't care about your life I do, and the whole park also does, so you better accept your fate and stop making things worse," Alpha Alvin said before sitting on the couch when a message popped into his phone.

"You know what? I reject you," she said as she glared at him.

And without a word being said, he stood up and walked out of the room as though he never heard what she just said.

"Seriously," she scoffed before jumping down the bed and running after him.

She had expected him to tell her to go home as she had rejected him.

"Did you see Alpha Alvin?" she asked one of the maids that was mopping the floor.

"I think he is heading to his office," the maid replied and immediately she ran to his office.

"Would you let me pass already?" she said to the guards that were guiding the door to Alvin's office.

"I'm sorry Luna, but Alpha has instructed us not to let anyone get into his office, even you," one of the guards said.

"I am serious, I need to meet the Alpha, I rejected him and he hasn't permitted me to leave."

"What!!!!" All the guards screamed with their hands placed over their head and eyes wide open as they stared at each other in shock, which made her squint her eyes at them.

"You did what!!" they asked in sync.

"Rejected him," she wasn't sure if it was what she had said that made them behave weirdly as though they were scared.

"We are all in trouble, what have you done?" one of the guards said as he squatted down with his hands placed on his head.

"You people are the ones in trouble, and I did nothing wrong, so can you please let me pass now?" she said as she glared at each and everyone of them.

After glancing at themselves, they opened the door for her and she walked in.

Walking through the dark passage, she pushed the door open as she walked into the office.

Sensing the weird vibe in the room and the goosebumps that were already settling on her skin, she was sure that he was in his office.

Tiptoeing quietly into his office, she stopped dead in her tracks as she felt his presence behind her.

"What are you doing here Annabelle?" She heard his cold voice ask as he walked towards his table.

"You haven't permitted me to leave," she said while fiddling with her nails.

"Why should I permit you to leave?" he asked with an evil smirk plastered on his face.

"You have to because I damn the fuck hell rejected you."

"Annabelle I don't like it when you use the word fucking, it makes you look immature and unsuitable to be a Luna," he spoke sternly as he stared at her.

"How would you expect a seventeen years old teenager to be a Luna?" she complained as she sat on the couch.

"And besides, I don't really need to take permission from you before Leaving."

"Then why did you come into my office?" he asked with raised eyebrows.

"Because I knew that you would try to stop me from leaving," she replied with a sigh.

"Look here Annabelle, I am only trying to be nice to you so don't make me regret it.

I know you don't know much about the life of a werewolf but getting rejected by your mate is not something werewolves laugh over."

"Look here Alpha Alvin, I don't know if I'm trying to be nice to you, but don't make me regret it.

I know that you don't know much about the life of a human but getting kidnapped from your home by a fucking Alpha of werewolves isn't something humans laugh over," she retroted.

"You are so ignorant, Annabelle."

"Then enlighten me, Alpha Alvin."

Getting up from his chair, he walked towards the couch on which she was seated as he squatted before her.

"You ought to be marked."

"I am already marked," she said with squinted eyes.

"I can't find any markings on you," he said as his gaze turned into a confused one.

"Actually I have it on my cleavage, besides, I'm not supposed to tell you that," she said with a shrug.

"Annabelle what mark do you think I'm talking about?" he asked as he tried holding himself from bursting out into a feast of laughter.

"Birth markings," she said as she stared at him.

"Seriously Annabelle?" he said as he burst out laughing.

"What's funny?" she asked as she stared surprisingly at him.

"I wasn't talking about birthmark, I'm talking of the markings werewolves give their mate in between their neck and their shoulders in order to let others know that they've been taken."

"Hell no Alvin, there is no way I will let you mark me," she said as she stood up from the couch and shifted away from him.

"So you will try to stop me huh?" he asked with a smirk which made her shiver in fear.
