09- The Accusation

Out in the streets, Baka inhaled deeply, feeling the wind on her skin as the scent of fresh grass filled her nostrils.

Having finished tidying up her master’s quarters and seen to it that his meal was as he liked it, she had taken some money he had given her for necessities to get some supplies at the main market.

A grinning Bekon stared back at her, his hands raised up in the air. “Sorry.”

“Bek!” She glared at him. “Don’t ever do that again.”

“I said I was sorry,” he chuckled. “You used to like it when I did that.”

She continued to glare at him. Maybe three years ago that would’ve been a boon that would have led to a rendezvous at the back of a tree or on the grasses in the field.
