If all your life you have waited for someone and suddenly they came in front of you, your first thought will be to touch them, to feel them, to know that they are really not just a fragment of your imaginations.
That's what happened to Darach when his mate came in front of him. Darach became so busy in admiring her that he lost control of his beast who was hell bend on claiming her.
Darach knew that he moved too fast.
Actually, it was his beast who moved too fast. Centuries he had wasted in thinking that his mate was dead instead of hunting her just because a fucking Oracle said so.
He should never have believed her. Darach got a clear idea now that why Oracles were considered mad beings. But aside from his mate, he can't dismiss that it was the Oracle who had told him the way of these wastelands.
And Darach can sense a large number of Lycans here. Maybe his brat of a sister got her ass kicked by someone on this land.
If all the lost Lycans were on this land than it was a bonus for him that he found his little mate here.
For the first time in his life, Darach was proud of his decision of doing something for his people. . . If he knew that solving his people's problems would lead him to his mate then he would have fucking started helping campaigns for his people instead of his sleeping campaigns.
They say an impatient man always burns his own mouth and he can't even enjoy his meal. That's what had happened with Darach, his beast got too excited which had scared their mate off.
He still didn't know that what was she. . .
With her pointed ears, baby fangs, strange colored mesmerizing eyes and wee figure she was a person he can't fit in a box. And there were only a few people Darach can't figure out.
He can imagine her taunting him. The way she had thrown him in the wall like a ragged doll it was clear that she was stronger than she looked. Her wee body contained more strength than he could imagine.
Darach was a grown Lycan, from the strongest bloodline of Lycans and on top of that he was the crowned king of Lycans but his mate, a wee lass had kicked him with such a force that had not just thrown him in the wall but also knocked the air outta his poor lungs.
She was a being stronger than a lycan, which is impossible.
Her existence denied every law of nature~
She had created an invisible wall around herself to stop him from reaching her. If he kept that in mind then there was a major possibility that his mate might be a witch, Darach shuddered at his own thoughts.
It can't be possible!
He sent a silent prayer to the Moon Goddess to make her anything but a witch~
The last time a witch came in the life of a member of his family, they all had gone through hell just because of a witch. . .
Darach can accept anything but a witch.
His inner lycan growled at his throughs. He was not too happy from the way his other half was thinking. He didn't like the idea of even a possibility of Darach not liking their mate.
The beast knew that his human side was a fool because usually once they are blessed with what they had wished for they can't handle the blessings. The humans always find a way to ruin everything. . .
Darach remembered his mate's pointed ears, like Fey beings. She could be a Fey for all he knows. Darach dismissed his troubled thoughts and turned his focus on his surroundings. The sun shined above his head. This land was located in the middle of nowhere. Green grass covered the land with not a flicker of snow to be seen. If he hadn't traveled himself from the snowstorm in the wasteland he would have never believed that this lush tropical land is surrounded by wasteland.
There might be a possibility that Darach and Connor might have traveled through a portal and reached in a different dimension.
Connor. . .
While Darach had woken completely healed from his injuries, he didn't know in what condition Connor was. The last time he had seen his brother he was not in a stable condition.
"This way!" The demon snapped at him. Darach suppressed a growled at his disrespectful tone.
He was given a guard to take him where ever he wanted to go. When he had asked the guard who gave him the order to keep an eye on him, the demon had told him that it was an order issued by his Queen.
Darach got the idea that this was a 'Marked Territory' and his King status won't aid him here.
He was not in a position to fight.
These people reside here with his mate, they might be her friends and starting a fight with them won't end in his benefit. He can sense a large number of Lycans on this land but he had not even seen a single one which had him thinking that the snow might have effected his senses or this land hides more secrets than the snow.
Darach followed the demon silently, who was currently taking him to his brother.
Darach noticed that the structure of every building and house on this land was made up of solid rocks. It seems like every wall was raised deep from the earth. They were not built, they were pulled out of the ground.
They were remarkable~
The demon stopped in front of a building. A poster was hanging on the building that read 'The Art of putting your bones together'. When he entered the building he was greeted by the strong smell of herbs, blood and pungent chemicals.
When he was ushered towards a room he noticed that the people that were present in the building were from different species but none of them were lycans. He can bet on his left nut that there was a large number of lycans in this building before his arrival but now not even a single one was in sight. He can still catch their faint scents.
When Darach entered the room his eyes fell on Connor. He looked ready to kill. His eyes were golden. When he saw Darach he scowled at the mere sight of him.
Darach got the indication that Connor was not in a very pleasant mood.
Darach turned around, shutting the door on the demon's face who was following him like a lap dog. He knew that the demon can hear their conversation clearly but shutting the door on his face gave Darach immense pleasure.
Demons were just as hot-headed as Lycans. And the door shutting on his face would definitely have irked the demon.
"Connor!" Darach snapped, which only received a growl form Connor.
It took almost thirty minutes for Connor to calm down. And Darach came straight to the point without beating around the bush after that.
"I think there are other Lycans on this land. I can sense them but I can't see them. It's like they are hiding from us." Darach explained.
"I can sense them too. This place has a weird vibe. I don't know what but somethings not right. The last thing I remember, we were in a fucking snowstorm and them boom everything went blank and now when I wake up in this foreign room, you were missing, I'm injured, not healing and on top of that, someone pulled my fucking kidney out of my body while I was unconscious!! Tell me where the hell we are!!" Connor growled the last part.
The Fuck!
Darach felt guilty, while he had woken up without any pain and completely healed, his brother was left vulnerable. He didn't think to find anything about their whereabouts because he was too busy in daydreaming about his mate.
"I don't know where we are but I think I'll find someone who knows everything. I'll go and sort this out, you need rest. Let your beast heal you." Darach suggested.
Darach decided not to tell Connor about his mate. Not until he himself finds everything about her.
"As if the fucker will help me heal! I'm the only cursed Lycan whose own beast loves to see him in pain and misery. You should go and figure a way out of this fucked up place. The sooner we are out of here the sooner we will find Lucia." Connor sighed while leaning back on the plain white bed.
"There might be a chance of Lucia being on this land with the other missing ones. This place is packed with different supernatural species and we can already sense lycans here."
"If Lucia is here then you have to find her and the others. You are the king, the Alpha, you can just command their beasts and they will follow us back to our home. It will take a few days for me to regenerate a kidney and heal these wounds so you're all on your own."
"Aye! Take care." Darach said awkwardly.
"I would probably sleep with an open eye." Connor muttered under his breath while touching the place from where his kidney was missing with a pained look.
With a last glance towards his brother Darach left the building with only one person on his mind who can give answers to him about this fucked up place and she might be able to locate his sister and the missing ones. . .
His wee little mate~
Only the thought of her made his beast excited along with the other parts of his body. . .
Amber stared at Darach’s face. She had been waiting for this moment for the whole day and finally, she had successfully cornered the love of her life.Amber licked her lips as she gazed up in her mate’s wide blue eyes.Dark Gods! Three years had passed and she still can’t get bored from the startled look that Darach gave her every time she unexpectedly cornered him for quickies.Snaking her arms around his neck Amber pulled him down as she pressed forward against him while batting her eyelashes seductively at him.At this point Darach was panting, his eyes flickering from blue to their magnetic golden color. His flashing golden eyes were always a turn on for her. "We shouldn't be doing this." Darach whispered distractingly."Then I should find someone else to state my needs." Amber mumbled in a taunting tone. At her words, Darach's mouth aggressively descended over hers. The se
"I can't believe you were sleeping while my daughter was so close to losing her life." Aric roared at his nephew but for the first time in his life Darach didn't cower away from his uncle's dominance."Amber shouldn't have been in this position if you had resolved your issues with Aunt Emmeline." Darach rasped, looking his Uncle in the eye. Backing down wasn't an option now. It was high time that they all came to terms with their past. "What did you say pup?" Breathing through his nose to keep his anger in, Aric took a threatening step towards his nephew. "Repeat yourself and I'll teach you a lesson in manners that you have clearly forgotten over the past centuries." Aric breathed in rage when Darach didn't lower his gaze. At this point, he was standing nose to nose with Darach. Darach's words hadn't set well with Aric. No matter what Aric was the Alpha King and the beast within him was demanding him to discipline his nephew who had ste
Amber's heart constricted inside her chest. Oracle's words had hit home. Amber had asked her to stay and she had asked Amber to let go of the past. They both had asked each other for something that they weren't ready to do yet.The Oracle wasn't ready to grab onto the future and Amber wasn't ready to let go the past~Amber turned around to leave. Maybe it was meant to be this way. Amber caressed her stomach, which was becoming a habit now. Too much was going on on her mind. The Oracle had left her with unanswered questions whose answers only the Oracle knew. What had she meant by a cursed being and not able to touch children? The Dragon was definitely going to lose it if he found that his mate had escaped again.Amber felt bad for Aidan, he had spent a decade in Amber's territory spying on her in hopes that once she will become the crowned queen of witches she will lead him to his bride. In a way, Amber did lead him
Amber caressed her baby bump as she gazed up at the sky. The sun wasn't completely up yet, there was a certain type of peace in the atmosphere. After so long Amber felt content. She wanted to be there for her child but this time not alone, She wanted Darach to be with her.Amber had realized that it didn't matter that from which race her child will belong because Amber's love will be enough for her child. She was afraid of giving birth to a girl but not anymore~If she gave birth to a witch then she will train her daughter to love herself. She will tell her that she was beautiful and anyone who'll tell her daughter otherwise will get his ass kicked by Amber. Oh, it will be too much fun to train her daughter to kick fool's asses. Will her daughter look like Amber or Darach? Or was she going to give birth to a son? Amber's lips curved in a smile, she couldn't wait to find out. Suddenly a shadow passed by the woods pulling Amber out of her
Amber stared at the man sleeping peacefully beside her.Life wasn't as complicated as man made it. Sometimes a person was just bound by the chains of his longings, resentment and pain to see what always has been in front of him. When fate took something from a person, the person was always blessed with something more but it seemed like the pain of losing was too big to grab on to the happiness offered to him.A person always remember what he lost instead of cherishing the things he still has.Amber was that person~She was blessed with a Goddess to show her the right path, a mate, a father, a mother, friends who were like a family, allys who were ready to protect her no matter what. She had people who trusted her with their loyalties. And above them all, she had a baby coming her way.If she counted all these blessings on her fingers, they really dull out the pain of her past. The pain she had endured in the past had
Amber groaned in pain. Dark Gods! Her back was killing her. She shouldn't have come between her father and Vladimir. It had sucked all the energy from her body. Her day had been hectic. Vladimir had proudly announced to Aric that he was staying because Amber had requested him to stay. Aric had lost his shit and he had started cursing Vladimir like a sailor while Rome had shrieked at Aric like a banshee to stop cursing around his godchild, not caring even a bit that he was talking to the King of Beasts. It felt like Amber had started living in a circus where a millennium-old King of Beasts and Vampire King liked to get on each other's nerves. They were even worse than Jimmy who God knows why was hell-bent on making Darach's life a living hell.Laying on the bed Amber held her breath, closing her eyes she waited. . . It was almost midnight and soon Darach's beast was going to wail. Every time his beast howled at the
