4º Volkan meets Luna

Volkan pays the bail, takes the car and drives Ferhat home.

“Next time, watch out for kissing girls in public. You are not in America anymore”.

“I was going to imagine that the guard would catch me”.

“And who is the girl”?

"Whatnot. I found it at the club.”

“You really don't. What about Rabia?

"Rabia can't know that, eh Volkan"?

“I won't be the one to say. But the press” present at the police station.

“Volkan. Call your friend from the newspaper and ask him not to publish my picture. Otherwise our father will kill me”.

As he always does, Volkan tries to get his brother out of yet another mess by picking up the phone.

“I'll see what I can do”.

"Thank you brother. Now let me sleep, I'm dying of sleep and tiredness”.

"I don't know how Ferhat can still be sleepy."

Ferhat is the eldest son of Berat Erdogan, owner of the largest Automobile Industry in Turkey.

Berat knows that his son Ferhat is irresponsible, wasteful and lives in fights, unlike Volkan, a sensible, hardworking, reliable boy, in addition to being his right hand man.

Volkan is sensible and besides being a great son, he keeps getting his brother out of trouble.

Although they are so different, the two brothers Volkan and Ferhat are united, love each other and would die for each other if necessary.

Berat has been a widower since his children were very young and he never wanted to marry again.

But fate gives him another opportunity, as soon as the beautiful Umay, who is also Busy's mother, divorces her husband Mustafa.

Umay lives in an unhappy marriage alongside Mustafá, a characterless man who has a love relationship outside of marriage.

Ahmet, Luna's twin brother, also has a secret relationship with Ella, daughter of the owner of the neighborhood grocery store.

Almost every night, Ahmet wakes up next to Ella daughter Sarila, one of the merchant sisters and gossips of the place.

Ella is in love with Ahmet Luna's twin brother, who lives running away from the responsibility of helping his parents, to play in a family restaurant.

Ahmet likes Ella, but prefers to hide their relationship, so that the family doesn't ask him for responsibilities that he doesn't think he's ready to assume.

Seeing that he spent another night with the young woman, Ahmet gets up slowly, gathers his scattered clothes and sneaks back home.

Luna, who was preparing coffee for her parents who were still sleeping, listens when Ahmet puts the key in the door, entering without making any noise.

After finding his twin sister awake setting the breakfast table, Ahmet says embarrassed.

“Günaydin (Good morning) little sister”

“Allah, Allah! You come home in the morning with the cleanest face in the world and you still say Günaydin”?

“What did you want me to say little sister”?

“Where did you spend the night Ahmet”?

‘“Where did I spend the night”?

Ahmet puts his hand to his head.

"That. Where did you spend the night and with whom?”

“You know what Luna? It doesn't interest a family girl to know."

"I'll give you what you don't care to know now".

Luna takes the slipper and shoots Ahmet in the head.

“Oh Luna! That one hurt.”

“It really hurts. Just imagine if mom was awake watching you arrive now. "You already enjoy annoying our parents."

"You're not going to tell, are you Luna"?

"I should, but I don't want to upset them."

“Inshallah (Thanks be to God)”.

“Speak softly, our parents are still sleeping”.

Luna continued setting the table for her parents' breakfast.

"That's what I also intend to do, but only after having this delicious breakfast".

Ahmet takes an olive and Luna slaps his hand.

“Hands off, this is not for you”.

"There! I only took one olive”.

Turkish coffee cannot lack olives, cheese, bread, butter, honey, jams, boiled eggs, pies, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and a variety of green herbs, in addition to the traditional tea, which is drunk not only in the morning, but throughout the entire day in Turkey.

“No olives”.

"But I'm hungry Luna."

Ahmet makes a sad face and Luna relents to her theatrics.

“She OK sits down and drinks coffee, but leaves the table set for our parents when they wake up. Do you understand Ahmet”?

“I promise to leave everything as tidy as you left it. Where are you going sister”?

“Work Did you forget that I teach?

“Evet (Yes). I forgot that today is Monday”.

“For I have not forgotten. I look forward to the days when I teach.”

"My little sister loves to dance."

Ahmet says enjoying the pie made by his sister.

"You can not imagine how much".

“Wow, this pie is delicious! Cheers to your hands, Luna.”

In Turkish culture it is normal to use the phrase: Health to your hands when the food is very good.

“Won't eat it all huh Ahmet? Leave it to our parents too.”

“Just one thing sister, you still haven't promised me that you won't tell our parents that I arrived this morning”.

"It's the first thing I'll do as soon as Mom wakes up and calls me."

"Oh no Luna, don't say anything"!

"I just won't tell you if you do me a favor."

"Anything you want, you can say".

“You will wash dinner dishes for a week”.

"Oh no! This is women's work, Luna."

“Alright then you sexist. I'm going to tell not only Mom, but Dad too."

- I'm in.

“There is Ahmet! I forgot the bathroom too”.

“You already want too much”.

“Okay then, I'll tell our parents and tomorrow you start doing the dishes, but not here at home. In our restaurant”.

“Wash dishes in the restaurant? Anything but that.”

Ahmet gets up and goes to the door before Luna enters the elevator.

"Okay Luna, I'll wash the bathroom too".

“Agreed we are starting today huh”?

Luna speaks as the elevator door closes.

“Ah Luna, you pay me”.

Ahmet angrily throws the piece of bread at the door and Luna holds it at the elevator door for one last scolding.

“Oh don't mess anything up. Fix it soon. Nowaaa”.

Nonconformist Ahmet sits at the table again.

"She doesn't even look like my twin."

“Allah, Allah! Where have you ever seen a man washing dishes”?

“A week on top”?

"But if I don't, she'll tell our parents everything."

Ahmet grumbles and Luna smiles in the elevator with her thoughts.

"Machista as he is, he can only be furious at this hour."

“I'm going to be free of the dishes and the bathroom for a week. Inshallah”.

“I'm pretty sure I'll get you again in Ahmet inflation. It can wait".

Happy to have gotten rid of some household chores for the week, Luna heads to the point where she will take a ride.

As soon as she sees the bus approaching, Luna signals, but the driver chooses not to stop, leaving her prostrate at the point, indignant.

“Allah shorten your days”!

Luna rants, not realizing that a car pulls ahead of her at the light.

Volkan sees his cell phone light up and puts on the headset to communicate with his father.

"Speak dad I'm at the signal now".

“Already coming Volkan”?

"I'm still halfway there."

“What happened son? He missed the time ”?

Not wanting to talk about the incident with his brother why he missed the time, Volkan brushes his father off.

“I was watching a movie until late and ended up forgetting to activate the clock alarm”.

"No problem, we'll have the meeting in the afternoon, if you don't mind Volkan."

“Fine by me dad. It gives time to take another look at the project”.

At the end of that sentence Volkan looks towards the bus stop and in disbelief he sees Luna standing, right there in front of him.

"It's her".

“She who Volkan”?

“She is nothing dad. I'm going to have to hang up, because the signal is about to open. In the company we talk. Gule (Bye)”.

Immediately Volkan makes a turn in a roundabout, so that he could pass to the other side of the track, where Luna was.

"I hope she hasn't caught the bus yet."

When approaching the Volkan point, he sees that Luna was still waiting for transport.

“How lucky she is still there”!

Feeling his heart jump in his chest like never before, Volkan stopped his car at the point where Luna was.

With the little push of fate, Luna and Volkan's gazes meet once more.

"You"?

Volkan couldn't believe that he had met that girl again and that she was looking beautiful even though she had an angry face.

Since she left the internship, Luna hadn't taken Volkan out of her thoughts, even though she knew it would be impossible to have something more with him.

The fact that Luna was a girl, betrothed to another, set her apart from all men.

Only Volkan didn't know that and had fallen madly in love with her.

The Marriage Contract existed and Luna was bound by it and now also by Volkan the former Besiktas player and also Ferhat's brother his betrothed.
