Chapter 13 : Jealousy

Slowly the afternoon falls. Luckily it looks like the day is going to end up being a quiet one.

My phone rings then, the sound takes away my false hope of tranquility.

"Hello?" I say as I answer, without looking at the screen.

"What are you doing tonight?" Rose asks on the other end of the line.

Her tone is special. I know her well. She's obviously planning something.

"I don't know! Probably spending the night with Levi," I reply.

I'm really tired. All I want to do is sleep. The last few days have been a merry-go-round with no brakes. But I know Rose won't let me off that easily.

"Well, it's time for me to meet this new man of yours. I'm throwing a party in your honor,"

"A party…" I repeat in disbelief. I stand up in bed, as I was lying down trying to take a nap. My eyes widen like saucers. "Rose, there's no need for that. We really want to be alone."
