Chapter 11

Catherin stood in front of the mirror in the hospital restroom, finishing washing her face to calm her anger.

"I will make your family suffer the consequences for what you did to Dad," Nolan threatened her after yelling at her shortly after his arrival at the hospital. Catherin continued to remember his threat, which made her even angrier at him. However, she couldn't deny that she was also afraid that Nolan would actually take out his anger on her family.

Nolan was at fault, but it was still Catherin who was blamed. That's the fate of a poor person like her; no one would appreciate her. Especially her husband, who was forced to marry her since birth and already held a silver spoon. She meant nothing to him, so it wouldn't be difficult for Nolan to get rid of her and her family.

Catherin left the restroom and found her mother-in-law asleep on the bench outside Louis's room, leaning on her only child's shoulder. Nolan glanced at Catherin, and she decided to go home, back to her parents
