Chapter 1

“Muchu, I heard that you have dumped Senior Lou and gotten together with the maestro of the music department, is that true?”

Qin Muchu had just gotten out of anatomy class and a nosy classmate was asking her about it.

"It’s true.” She smiled.

“No way! Weren’t you madly in love with him? How could you just dump him like that! Do you have a fever? This is Lou Sichen we’re talking about here! Do you have any idea how many girls are pining after him? But here you are, giving all of that away.”

“Accurately speaking, I was madly in love with his family’s fortune!” Qin Muchu corrected her classmate with a straight face.

Her classmate was speechless as her jaw dropped.

That was a little too direct.

“I’ve already gotten a hundred thousand bucks. Naturally, it’s time to say goodbye!”

Qin Muchu looked extremely elated and proud when she said that.

Her classmate opened her mouth to say something but choked a little when she saw someone. “S-Senior Lou…”

Lou Sichen was standing opposite them, his figure tall and overbearing. His cold eyes bore into Qin Muchu, as if he wanted to swallow her alive.

Qin Muchu’s breath was stuck for a moment. She tightened her grip on her schoolbag.

In truth, she had already noticed him standing there since the beginning.

Even those words she had said earlier were deliberately spoken for him to hear.

“Muchu, something has come up, I should go now…” With a lame excuse, her classmate fled the scene.

Lou Sichen made his way toward her.

With every step he took, her heart even pounded harder. He moved toward her until the shadow of his towering figure enveloped her.

There was a unique and pleasant smell of his that invaded the air she breathed. It was a tingling sensation to her nose. Though she was on the verge of tears, all was well. She held her tears in.

“Repeat what you’ve said just now.”

His voice was husky, composed. But for those who knew him well, the calmer his voice, the more violent the storm.

Qin Muchu’s throat tightened.

A brief moment passed before she looked up at him and said, “I have asked your mother for the money! And also, the person I love has always been Gu Jinyan. So there’s nothing between us anymore. It’s ove-… mmphhhh!”

Before she could even finish her sentence, he silenced her with his cool, thin lips, over her own.

Qin Muchu summoned all the strength she had to push him away. “Lou Sichen, that’s enough! Let me go!”

“Whether or not it’s enough, was never your decision to make!” He glared down at her, holding back his rage.

“From the moment you approached me, you should have known that whether or not it is over between us, was never your decision to make!”

He was doing it on purpose!

Lou Sichen’s voice was low but cold. “Qin Muchu, NOW it’s over between us!”

With that, he pushed her away in contempt, turned, and left. He never looked back.

In the end, it was he who had put an end to everything between them.

The color drained from her face as she squatted down, holding onto her aching stomach.

A little below her stomach, blood flowed...
