Eve's POV

When they finished introducing themselves; he furthered more told them that I am the new secretary; he informed them about his arrival and he made mentioned that; * He has come to stay * I didn't really get what he meant.

After the meeting ended; everyone left for their various departments leaving Liam in the hall. Actually, he ordered them to leave first but I was still there, waiting for him; uhm waiting for him simply because we came here together.

"Are you waiting for me stepmom?" Liam asked me; as he picked up a few things from the table.

"No" I lied.. I might have said 'yes' but he added 'stepmom' to the end of the question.

"Okay.. so why are you still here? you don't know your way to the office I just showed you?" He asked.

"I do" I told him, then I picked up my documents and phone... I hurried out of the hall.

* Any slight mistake can make me change my mind *

Those words echoed and his mean voice jingled in my head like a bell.
