Eve's POV I have never thought that all this would happen very quickly. Fine! I know that I would never be able to choose whatever I want by myself because of the kind of life I'm living - Poor background, wretched condition and I've just been managing to survive... but I didn't know that being not able to make a choice would also affect me to choose who to marry or when. My father usually say that only a man can decide who he wants to spend the rest of his life with when he's already not the other way round.. but it's definitely not true, we ladies can make decisions too. Ugh.. sad, sad because someone like me can't decide myself, It's sad because he doesn't even care about my feelings and he thinks whatever he says or whatever action he takes is the best for me whereas, sometimes it's not yet I have no other option than to grant his request. Despite the circumstances we've found ourselves in, I love my Dad very much, I usually heed to his advice because he has never failed me

Eve's POV We arrived at a mansion, and the gate keeper came to open the gate. Mr Maya drove in and finally packed his car at the carlot. Wow there are so many cars. He came down from the car first, was about to come and open the door for me but I did that quickly. "Welcome to my beloved house my princess" Mr Maya said but I gave him deaf ears and looked around. The house is big and fine indeed, it's even finer than Janet's house... I actually thought Janet house was the most expensive apartment. "Come on in" He led the way and took me into his house. "Whao!" I exclaimed. I couldn't hold it anymore. "Yeah babe, that's what I was expecting from you" He said smiling because I finally gave an exciting response. "This is huge and beautiful" I said looking around. "You are free to go round and check it out" He said.. I hesitated by trying to compose myself but I just couldn't hold the excitement. I ended up dropping my bag of clothes and walk around freely. Does he live alone i

Eve's POV "Hey" I said to Helen in a friendly tone. She was rinsing her hand in the sink, i brought out the Kitchen napkin and gave it to her when she was done. "Thank you" She said as she dried her hands with the napkin. "You are welcome" I smiled while I also washed my hands in the sink. She looked at me, puzzled because I was being all nice and it was obvious I wanted to join her in cooking. "An helping hand" I told her.. "O...k" "Your name is Eve right?" She asked me.. "Yup! Eve" I responded.. she gave me the napkin when I was done rinsing my hands. "Are you Liam's new girlfriend?" She asked me. "What?" I blurted. "No. I'm not his girlfriend" I told her and she chuckled as she moved to the fridge and shoved out some lettuces leaves. "Who are you?" She asked. "Errrmm.. ..Mr Maya's new wife?" I told her the truth. "What d' hell?" She exclaimed. "Ewwwwww" "Errrrr... I was only joking" I quickly said and laughed it off instantly and she laughed too. "You are funny. Ver

Eve's POV "I.... I am Mr Maya's wife" I finally confessed to Helen. "She is Mr Maya's Wife" Robert said at the same time. "What?" Helen exclaimed. "What do you mean you are Mr Maya's wife?" She asked me. "Using the word 'wife' sounds more better than saying his 's*x toy" I said. "I married him because his wealth would improve a whole lot of things in my miserable life but it turns out we are actually not getting married in the proper way" I briefly explained to her. "You see Eve, even a proper marriage with him is still very wrong" Robert said. "I know right" I said and sniffed. I'm really not gonna shed tears again, I'm tired of that. "What are you talking about Eve? Explain to me right away, Robert!" Helen questioned in a confused way. I wish I could just tell her that what I just said now is a Joke but no, it's not. "Mr Maya asked for her hand in marriage and she reluctantly agreed because he was wealthy and he promise to take good care of her. She needed money for her D

Eve's POV "Why is daddy not happy about our arrival? Is this the expression he gave when he saw you? Or is it just me?" Mark asked his brother, Liam. "No Mark, it's not just you. I think Daddy wants us to live elsewhere. It's probably time for you to inherit one of houses while I move to mine" Liam answered sarcastically. "No, no Guys... I ermm" Their father scratched his head. "I... I..take my leave now" I stuttered, taking my stuff and new phone from the couch. "You see, she's not leaving," Liam said just when I was about to climb the stairs. "Sorry" I murmured because I didn't know what to say. With the look of things, I think I'm becoming a big burden to this family, especially to Mr. Maya's children, my stepsons. * "Mark are we gonna keep standing here like we are strangers in our own house?"Liam questioned his brother. " Ohh" He pulled his heavy bag off his shoulder and leaned it on a couch. Then took his seat... while his brother was about to go to his room. "Dad is
