Don't Hate The Player; Hate The Game

"By the time my Father gets here, you all are going to pay for this. You folks don't know who you're dealing with. I will make sure you rot in jail for treating me this way," Regardless of his condition, Dexter threatened officer Lucas from his cell after the latter visited him.

"Oops, I'm scared for my life. I have got to run and hide for my safety right now. Daddy's boy is actually going to hurt me," officer Lucas mocked Dexter with the rest of the officers who accompanied him to Dexter's cell. 

"Oh, don't you dare make fun of me. That wasn't funny. I was just stating that fact. And for your information, I am not a Daddy's boy. For crying out loud, I am a matured man," Dexter cried his eyes out. He gave them a thousand reasons to believe that he was a perfect gentleman. Rather than believing him, officer Lucas continued to taunt Dexter.

"No man in his right senses, would hit a lady the way you did. That was the dumbest shit I've witnessed in my entire life. Whosoever that does that is nothing but a coward. You know why? Because it clearly means that he can't stand his fellow man," Officer Lucas clapped back. 

The talk was supposed to restore Dexter's head and probably make him apologize for his wrongdoings. Unfortunately, it didn't seem anything like that. Instead, it made Dexter became a beast.

"I need my phone right now. 

I need to speak to my father. He needs to know where I am," Dexter requested. He didn't like someone who required a favor from officer Lucas. Dexter sounded as though they were on his payroll.

Leaning forward, Officer Lucas spoke softly. "You know, for someone in such terrible situation, I wouldn't speak to an officer handling my case in that tone of voice. You know what I would do? I would stay humble to get what I want. It's quite unfortunate that you folks lack manners," 

 After the speech, Officer Lucas walked away angrily with the rest of the policemen who came with him.

"I require my freaking phone. Are you even listening to me right now?" Dexter screamed from a distance and no one paid attention to him. The policemen acted like he didn't even exist. 

This hurt Dexter so much. It pierced his heart like a dagger. All his life, he has never been treated that way before. The only person who came close to torturing him was his late mother.

 Since then, Dexter has always getting everything he wanted. He breaks the law and gets away with it as though it's nobody's business. Not even his Father, George Cooper could march his energy. 

But tonight, Dexter met his match. 

He was defeated by a greater power he never even imagined his whole life.

"Did you see what happened out there or was I dreaming?" Officer Lucas addressed the other policemen in his office shortly after they departed Dexter's cell.

"Yes, we did sir. We all witnessed that happen out there. It's safe to say that Dexter is a torn in our flesh," Romeo admitted on behalf of other cops who were too scared to speak up. 

No one speaks when Lucas does. They all worship the ground he walks on. At the mention of his name, they all bow. Even in his absence, they're all scared for their lives. 

"Oh, you saw it too?

I was afraid I was imagining things," Lucas murmured as he paced around, with his hands placed behind him.

"What do you all suggest we do about him? I can't bare to watch him insult me next time. I might as do well something crazy to him," Officer Lucas while sorting their opinion. He was pained that the victim abused was Nurse Elizabeth, his love interest. He can't deny the fact that it would have been a different story if he didn't have anything in common with nurse Elizabeth.

Considering the fact that officer Lucas and nurse Elizabeth are both going through some difficult path in their relationship, officer Lucas figured that this is the time he needs to earn back at her trust. And the only way to ensure that is if he, officer Lucas ensure that Dexter spends the rest of his life in jail. 

"Since no one has spoken yet. I guess I have got to break the silence," Lucas cleared his throat. He stopped pacing and cemented his buttocks on the desk.

"I want Dexter to suffer for what he did to Elizabeth. As you all know, hitting a lady in this part of the world is a serious offense." Lucas ended his speech with a wink.

Romeo and the rest of the policemen glanced at each other as a terrible thought climbed their mind. Unfortunately, none of them had the guts to spill. They were all scared that officer Lucas might end up punishing them. 

"Okay. I can see you all have something to say. Go on, say it already. I am going to hurt anyone of you," Officer Lucas assured. It didn't sound like an assurance because the last time he made the promise, he ended up suspending one of the policemen for speaking up. 

"If you insist, then I will say it. We can't keep holding on to it forever." Romeo took the bold step and leaned forward. 

"From what you just said, I was able to pick up a few questions. Are you suggesting that we charge Dexter to court that might lead to him being jailed ?" Romeo asked the much awaited question that has been on his lips for a long time. He wasn't certain how officer Lucas was going to react to it.

"Exactly!" Lucas endorsed the suggestion and slammed the desk. Everyone was surprised to see him act like that. That was the only time officer Lucas has ever agreed to them.

"If possible, he should spend the rest of life in jail. That was abusers like him deserves," Officer Lucas added with wicked laughter. The other policemen frowned because they didn't find it funny.
