Mia's POV:
Melanie and I are standing right in front of the orphanage gate.
It was my first day working here, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of nerves and excitement.
Melanie had been such a great friend, helping me get the job as promised. She'm was standing beside me, giving me encouraging words, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for her support.
As we entered the orphanage, the sight that greeted us was simply breathtaking. Children were running around everywhere, their laughter filling the air. The whole place was so clean and neat, it was like a well-kept sanctuary for these little ones. I couldn't help but be amazed at how well-organized everything was.
In awe, I turn to Melanie and exclaim, "Oh my goddess, this place is so luxurious and fine. Who created such an orphanage for children? They must be incredibly kind-hearted."
Melanie smiled warmly and replied, "You know, Mia, it's actually the triplet alphas of the Moon Claw Pack who created this orphanage. They are the ones behind this incredible place, and it's considered the biggest orphanage in the entire country."
"Triplets? There are triplets in this country?" I asked surprised. How come I didn't know?
"Of course! The formidable Alpha Triplets! You should see this trio! Total panty wetters!"
Melanie began.
I sigh in boredom already.
"Panty wetters? Really?"
She nodded.
"Yes! They're panty wetters!"
I walked into the orphanage, Melanie couldn't help but gush about the triplet alphas of the Moon Claw Pack. She went on and on about how handsome they are and how lucky their mate would be to have such amazing and attractive alphas.
"Girl, you won't believe it," Melanie exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement. "Those triplets are like Greek gods come to life! They have chiseled jawlines, mesmerizing eyes, and abs for days. I mean, seriously, they could make any girl weak in the knees!"
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at Melanie's exaggerated descriptions. "Melanie, come on," I said, trying to keep my tone patient. "We're here to work at the orphanage, remember? Let's focus on the task at hand and save the swooning for another time."
Melanie let out a playful giggle, clearly not taking my request too seriously. "Oh, Mia, you're just too practical sometimes. But mark my words, if you ever get a chance to meet those triplets, you'll understand why I can't help but gush about them."
I shook my head, smiling at my friend's enthusiasm. "Alright, Melanie, I'll take your word for it. Now let's get to work and make a difference in these children's lives."
Leaving Melanie behind, I made my way deeper into the buildings, ready to get on with my new job.
This on was a good distraction and the kids looked adorable. As they hadn't had their wolves yet, it was easy to manipulate and hurt them cause they wouldn't heal easily.
As Melanie led me further into the orphanage, I couldn't help but be amazed by the luxurious surroundings. It was like stepping into a world of elegance and comfort. Melanie took me on a grand tour, showing me every nook and cranny of the place.
"Prepare to be wowed, Mia," Melanie said with a mischievous grin. "This place is more than just an orphanage. It's a haven for these children, a place where they can thrive and feel loved."
We walked through the grand entrance, with it's towering marble columns and chandeliers that sparkled with a thousand crystals.
The foyer was adorned with beautiful artwork, each piece telling a unique story of hope and resilience.
Is this really an orphanage?
Melanie guided me through the dormitory, where the children's rooms were like little sanctuaries. Soft, plush beds with fluffy pillows and cozy blankets awaited each child, creating a sense of comfort and security. The rooms were decorated with vibrant colors and inspiring quotes, reminding the children that they were valued and cherished.
As we continued our tour, we passed by a spacious playroom filled with toys, games, and educational materials. The laughter and joy that echoed through the room made my heart swell with happiness. Melanie pointed out the art studio where the children could explore their creativity and express themselves through various mediums.
Next, we entered a state-of-the-art kitchen, where talented chefs prepared nutritious meals for the children. The tantalizing aroma of freshly baked bread and hearty stews filled the air, making my stomach rumble with anticipation.
Melanie's enthusiasm was infectious as she showed me the outdoor playground, complete with swings, slides, and a colorful jungle gym. "The children can let their imaginations run wild here," she said, her eyes shining with excitement. "They can climb, slide, and play to their heart's content."
We strolled through beautifully landscaped gardens, with vibrant flowers and lush greenery. Melanie explained how the children were taught about gardening and the importance of nurturing living things. It was a serene and peaceful oasis, offering a place for reflection and tranquility.
As our tour came to an end, Melanie turned to me, her eyes filled with pride. "Mia, I hope you can see how special this place is," she said earnestly. "It's not just about providing for their basic needs, but about giving these children a chance to thrive, dream, and create a better future."
I nodded in agreement with her and smiled thinly.
"The triplets really did a good job in helping these kids" I complimented dryly.
Suddenly I didn't feel like calling out the names of this triplets or something.
Even if they renovated the orphanage and turned it into a mansion/paradise, whatever they did, had nothing to do with me and I'll try as much as possible to do my job well.
As i didn't have children in my previous marriage, i would most definitely take good care of these kids and make the most of motherhood.
Cassey giggled in response to my words.
'youll be a good mother for sure. Just relax, I also have a feeling that something good is about to happen to us'
She said but I shrugged her off.
"Things always fall apart, but I'll listen to you then."
'Good, now get to work!' She cheered and I saluted.
"Right away"

The whole thing: cheers, the overarching arch of flowers, the food, the live music, everything was done outside. As Mia requested.Mia smoothened her dress for the umpteenth time, looking at the mirror anxiously. From here, she could hear the small chatter happening outside. Soft music was being played by a pianist. There was a knock on the door before Felicity stuck her head in the room. “Are you ready?” she asked.Mia turned to look at her, the panic in her eyes enough to give Felicity pause. Mia's POV:I couldn't believe that I was sneaking into a high school. The police officer I'd taken with me didn't blare his sirens. He didn't want to alert Darlington and his friends before we came to grab them.We snuck in by climbing over the fence. We walked to the school gymnasium. Zayn was waiting outside. He showed us the secret entrance.“They're inside,” he whispered.“Go,” I said, “I don't want him to know that you work for me.”Zayn nodded. “You better give me a breakdown of what happens here when you get home, ‘Mom’.” He'd been teasing me since I got back, calling me mum. As were about to go from a family of three to a family of six. And including Melanie, oof.I walked into the place and heard them talking. “Darlington,” I called. He froze and when he turned, he saw that it was me and he deflated in his seat. “Fck.” He said. “I didn't think you would come.”“Of course you didn't.” The cop had given me handcuffs so, I went over and handcuffed Darlington. The cop arrested th
Author's POV:Mia's phone was buzzing. She turned under the sheets, looking for it. She found it on the bedside table. It was Zayn.“Shit.” She said, answering it. “Hey, Zayn? What's up?” she rubbed the stress off of her face, looking at the time.“What's up? I've been calling you for the past ten minutes.” Zayn said sounding annoyed.“I'm sorry. I got… distracted.” She said, just as Jaxon's hand rested on her waist. She didn't want her voice to give off whatever had just passed between her and Jaxon. “Did something happen?”“Did something happen? Really?” he repeated incredulously. “Oh, I don't know. You sent me to go after your new golden mentee and now I'm here to tell you that they found a secret locker room and they're doing crack.”“What?” I shrieked, sitting up. Jaxon was alert next to me. “Are you serious?” I couldn't believe that he was doing drugs. That was harder to control.“Well, no. Because I don't know what they're doing right now since I'm stuck outside. Unless you wa
Author's POV:William gave Mia one last look before he turned, returning to the line of guards waiting for him. They let him walk past them before they turned. She was back where she belonged, with people that she could call family. They were her pride and rock. She knew that she wouldn't be able to do life without them. She was grateful for Zayn and Talia, Melanie, Felicity, and the Triplets. She was extremely grateful for life. And for her baby. She was hopeful. Life was only going to get better from now on. She only just had to believe it.***A few weeks later…The mansion was slightly busy with workers moving up and down. They were mostly going to meet Mia for instructions.“Can we have the painter up over here? I need to have him work on the nursery.” Mia said to her assistant. The woman nodded, taking notes.Mia was already four months p
Author's POV:For the next few days, Mia and William got to know each other. Mia's door was no longer locked and she could roam around the building for as long as she wanted. She found out that this used to be the old pack house. It explained the many rooms. But, what she didn't understand was the fact that there were so many hallways. The packed house was built more like a maze than a shelter. It was easy to get turned around in a place like this.William wasn't that bad now that they were getting to know each other as siblings. William expressed his regrets for trying to separate her from her mates. Mia told him that mistakes happened and it was fine as long as he atoned for it.He reintroduced Mia to everyone in the pack as his long-lost sister. His younger sister who was still a part of the pack was happy to see William reunited with his real family.William finally sent the missive to the Triplets. He had agreed that he and Mia would spend a few days together before he sent her b
Author's POV:It had been five days since Mia last saw William. Five days since he tore open her blouse and stumbled out of the room. She didn't know what had made him back off but she thanked the goddess that he'd left. What worried her now was when he would be back for another ‘taste.’She walked over to the window and looked outside. There had to be a way for her to escape. Maybe she could somehow break the bars. But she knew it would be impossible. Even if she managed to break the bars, she could jump from the second floor. Not in her condition. She put a hand over her stomach. She needed to get out of her to safeguard her baby. What if William decided that he wanted to get rid of the baby? What would she do then? The door unlocked and Mia turned sharply to look at it. She caught his scent before she saw him. She grabbed a fork, holding it.“Stay away from me,” she said, not waiting for whatever it was he wanted to say or do. She contemplated running towards him and trying to get
