LOGINALPHA XANDER:
The moonlight bathed the surroundings as I walked up to the dungeon to find my mother. The guards bowed and welcomed me upon my arrival. When I arrived at the cage room where my mother was locked up, chains were wrapped around her wrists and ankles. Her blue eyes fluttered awake. Her eyes narrowed with rage at me, not recognizing me as her son. “Mom…” I tried calling her, but she was feral, pulling on the chains that bound her in place. “Get lost!” she growled at me, not recognizing me as her son. “Fine. I will go. But know that today is my 27th birthday. I chose Quincy as my chosen mate,” I told her, standing at the front of the cage. Mom looked away. Her white dress was dirty and hadn’t been changed in the past two years. If the guards neared her, she would strangle them to death. The sedatives only work to calm her down either. “I don’t have any crazy son. I am childless! I am not the Luna! I am me!” she cried, and I know she becomes worse whenever she sees me. “Fine. You’re childless,” I said, and her blue eyes calmed down. “You’re not the Luna,” I told her what she wanted to hear, and she nodded. “Good. Now, leave. I don’t care about you. I want to be alone. You’re all crazy and not me!” She violently pulled the chains, her wrists bleeding in the process, so I turned and left, knowing that the sight of me made her crazy. “Alpha, what do we do? Your mother is getting worse and attempting to kill herself. The food and medicine don’t work on her,” the head warder at the prison let me know. “Hmm,” I breathed heavily as my eyes landed on the emerald bracelet that Bailey had given me. “I hope I find my real mate to stop Mom’s madness, but how do I find her? Should I invite all the single girls to the palace? But Quincy will be sad,” I said, feeling troubled that Quincy would be hurt. “Alpha,” the head warder lowered his head and said, “I am afraid if we do not do something to help your mother, she could die.” Shutting my eyes as my fist clenched, I told him, “She will be fine. Continue with the food supplements. Ensure you add more psychiatric medicine to her food. I will find a way.” I walked away, shifting to my wolf and going for a run as the night fell. ***** QUINCY: “Wake up, you slut!” I rushed into my sister’s room as soon as I arrived home. I had a deep feeling that she could be Xander’s mate. He sniffed my right hand—the same hand I used to slap my sister. Aurora rubbed her sleepy eyes as she sat up on the bed and glared at me. She never used to glare at me. Where did she get the audacity to do that? “Quincy, what’s going on? It’s late, and you should rest,” Mom said as she entered my sister's room. How can I rest when the memory of how Alpha Xander sniffed my right palm flashes in my head? I have a marigold scent, but Aurora has a jasmine scent. How do I prevent Alpha Xander from meeting Aurora? She will be 18 next Saturday. How do I stop them? “Quincy, I know you’re mad at Aurora for stealing your jade earrings, but you can punish her tomorrow. Just let her sleep tonight, and you need rest too,” my mother stated as she walked up to me and pulled my arms away from standing in front of Aurora. “No, Mom. I want Aurora banished and sent away from this pack!” I growled, and my father and brother stepped into my sister’s room and gasped. “What?” “Quincy, how dare you say you want your sister banished?!” My father growled at me for the first time, and I looked at him sadly. “Dad, Aurora must leave this house. She will bring more problems to us if we don’t send her away!” I spat, unable to tell my father the truth. My body was trembling, my lips quavering. However, my father surprised all of us as he walked up to me and landed a powerful, brain-resetting slap on my left cheek, shocking us all. “Dad!” we gasped, because my father had never raised his hand to me before, let alone knowing that I am Alpha Xander’s girlfriend. “Dad, you slapped me because of this bastard!” I growled, pointing at Aurora, and my father raised his right hand to slap me again as we all stood in Aurora’s room. “Dad!” Kaleb swiftly rushed up to stop Dad from smacking me again, also shocked by Dad’s behavior. Aurora sat on the bed with wide-open eyes, watching us. I was sure she was happy seeing me disciplined by our father. “The next time you order for your sister to be banished or thrown out, I will disown you and throw you out first. Aurora may be a useless she-wolf or a lowborn omega, but she is your sister and my daughter. Don’t ever say that rubbish to me about throwing her out of this family!” My father growled at me, pulled his hand away from Kaleb’s, and spat, “All of you get out of Aurora’s room now. I don’t want anyone bullying her again. Tomorrow, I will investigate who stole Quincy's jade earrings.” “Get out!” Dad pointed at the door, and we all looked shocked that he was defending Aurora. Left with no other option, we exited Aurora’s room. But I was heartbroken that my dad slapped me. Why is he defending Aurora? What stops him from sending her away? How dare he slap me? “Quincy, you don’t have to get angry at your Dad. He’s just concerned for Aurora. If we banish her and throw her out like you suggested, that will bring shame to us. The pack members will look down on us. Just forgive your sister,” Mom begged, trying to comfort me. But I smacked her hand off from touching mine. “No way, Mom. You all have to choose between me and Aurora. If you won’t send her away, then I will leave!” I declared and ran back upstairs to my room. “Quincy! Quincy!” My brother came knocking on my door, but I didn’t want to see him. “Leave me alone! All of you!” I cried in my room, sobbing on my bed. “Calm down, Quincy. I think you should forgive Aurora. Dad and Mom are right. As much as we don’t like Aurora, she’s their child. They never prayed for her to be useless and without a wolf. Just calm down and try to understand that Aurora will always be a part of us,” Kaleb said, but that wasn’t my fear. With a trembling voice, I asked Kaleb, “What if Aurora turned out to be Xander’s real mate? She will be 18 soon. I fear she’s up to something.” Kaleb’s laughter reverberated at my door. “Haha! Get a hold of your insane thought, Quincy. Aurora cannot be Xander’s mate. He doesn’t like her to begin with.” “But she has a jasmine scent. You saw Xander sniffed my right hand like a lunatic. It’s after I slapped Aurora—her scent was on my right hand, and he sniffed it deeply. She could be his mate…” I sobbed on the bed, trembling at the possibility. Kaleb was quiet. After a while, he said, “I didn’t know about that. You’re right. Aurora scents like jasmine. But she’s a wolfless Omega. I do not think Xander will choose her over you. Trust him—he will not dump you, and don’t worry about Aurora.” “Alright. Thanks for your words,” I said, and Kaleb responded, “You’re welcome, sister. Sleep well and goodnight.” The sound of my brother’s footsteps leaving my door echoed in my ear. Going to use the bathroom, I paused and looked at my reflection in the mirror and my swollen cheek. It was past midnight. My left cheek appeared red and swollen, and I knew Alpha Xander would be furious when he saw this. I sighed and went to relieve myself and have my night bath. Afterwards, I donned a long white nightdress and moved over to the bed to sleep. My heart throbbed faster as anxiety coursed through my veins. Will Alpha Xander react to my father slapping me? Will he become my sister's true mate? Am I overthinking this? After a while of worrying over my sister and boyfriend, I succumbed to sleep.ALPHA XANDER:“Alpha Xander, I was the one who ordered for Aurora to get discharged. She is a student, and she cannot be confined in the hospital,” Beta Adrian explained, as I turned away from him to leave the hospital room.“It’s fine. I only wanted to be sure that she is fine and her wound is healing. Since you are here, I will take my leave now.” I pulled the door open and stepped out of the private room.Nora stood there, her head lowered, and I wondered if she had eavesdropped—if she heard when Aurora had rejected me and I refused.I didn’t spare Nora any glance nor wait to caution her, as I marched away and went to my car. I wanted to go hiking, running, or swimming to calm my arousal, my rage, and my displeasure at Aurora rejecting me.Why hadn’t I accepted Aurora's rejection? I didn’t like her to begin with. I had never taken any liking to Aurora before. Why would the moon goddess pair me with Aurora as mates?I was enraged as I swung my car door open, jumped into the driver’
ALPHA XANDER:After Quincy left the master bedroom on the top floor of this new duplex that I had purchased for us, my mood plummeted. My gaze darkened because she wanted me to swear to the moon goddess that I would not touch Aurora. How could I resist my real mate?My throat tightened. I wore my trousers back and moved out of the room to check on Aurora once more.“You’re making a mistake, Xander. Remember the curse. If you crown Quincy as your Luna, she will run mad. Do you want her to suffer the same fate as your mother, too?” Johnny reminded me, but I couldn’t respond. When I stepped downstairs, I stepped out of the house. Night had fallen, and the moon shone in the sky.I hopped into my black Jeep and drove back to the pack’s hospital to see Aurora and to ask the doctor about her injury and whether I should heal her with my power. My hands firmly held the steering wheel as I navigated my car and drove ahead to the pack’s hospital. It was a magnificent two-story building.Upon my
ALPHA XANDER: "I want you, Alpha," Quincy moaned against my ears as I threw her onto the bed in the master bedroom, my eyes glowing with a primal desire to claim her. I stepped back, my hands moving to take off my belt, as I pulled off my shirt and stripped myself naked. Quincy came to meet me, kneeling before me, and she stripped off her red dress. She knelt in her red bikini, looking as inviting as a desirable meal. "Alpha, may I?" Quincy asked for my permission as she peered at my face with her enchanting blue eyes. Her eyes were fixated on my crotch. "Yeah, you can A—," I said, wanting to call Aurora's name, as I couldn't believe that I was thinking about her at this moment. Quincy knelt on my new bed, her hands working faster as they reached for my boxers and stripped them off to release my huge rod freely. It spring freely as my short came off. As Quincy lips drew near to my huge rod to take me deep into her mouth like she always did, my mind pictured Aurora's face. And I
ALPHA XANDER: After I had gone to inspect my new house, I finished the paperwork for its sale—even though I am the new Alpha—and kept the document. Still, I couldn't resist the urge to come see Aurora. When I had arrived in the afternoon, Aurora was lying on her back and sleeping. My eyes scanned her bare back, as it was exposed for the breeze to caress her wound and enable it to heal. Johnny growled at me, "Do you see what you put our real mate through?" "Relax, Johnny. We can heal her wound," I said, moving closer to touch Aurora's back, as I wanted to heal the deep wound on her back. But I felt a strong presence watching me, even though Aurora was fast asleep. I could feel the presence of someone else, like an invisible force watching me and preparing to attack if I did something wrong to Aurora. "Do you sense it too, Johnny? Has Aurora found her wolf? Why can't we see her?" I asked my wolf, who tried to see the wolf hiding in the room. "You hurt our mate, so why would she wan
AURORA: A few minutes later, when I saw the time in the hospital room was past 4 PM, the door swung open and a health worker arrived, carrying a tray of my dinner. "Here's your food," she said, serving it on the table next to my bed. Before I could speak, the door opened again, and Nora Edmond rushed into the room to meet me. "Aurora, oh my goodness! What happened at home? Why did you attack Quincy to warrant you getting punished before the whole pack?" Nora asked, as she rushed up to the hospital bed to meet me. Nora wore a pink dress that fell past her knees; it was a loose-fitting dress, featuring a pair of black shoes. She was carrying a brown bag and also wearing a brown pair of slippers. Her long brown hair was styled into a ponytail, as she was a chubby, brown-skinned girl of 17. "Nora," I wiped off my tears, my heart aching painfully after learning that Alpha Xander and Quincy had been intimate. 'What am I expecting of them?' "What's wrong, Aurora? Speak to me," Nora aske
AURORA: Waking up on the hospital bed, the thick smell of disinfectant filled my nostrils. The incident at the pack square echoed in my mind, and I discovered that I was lying on my stomach, my back exposed. "Mm," I whimpered and tried to turn, but I heard voices in the room. "Dad, how can Aurora take your place and get flogged by Alpha Xander?" It was Kaleb's voice. He acted like he didn't care, but now he was here in the hospital room, asking my father. Was he trying to know what our father had to say? Dad sighed and said, "I hope this heals faster. Aurora doesn't have a wolf, and if it's not treated well, it could leave a scar." "Mmm. You shouldn't have slapped Quincy last night, no matter what she did. Of what use is Aurora to us? Quincy is the one to become Alpha Xander's chosen mate, and you ought to have respected that position," my brother snarled, his voice sharp, like he was blaming Dad. Like he believed that my father should have been the one to get punished. Dad sighe
