Alpha Xander's POV:

The moonlight bathed the surroundings as I walked up to the dungeon to find my mother. The guards bowed and welcomed me upon my arrival.

When I arrived at the cage room where my mother was locked up, she was chained around her wrists and ankles.

Her blue eyes fluttered open. Her eyes narrowed with rage at me, not recognizing me as her son.

"Mom..." I tried calling her, but she acted feral, pulling on the chains that were used to bind her in place.

"Get lost!" She growled at me, not recognizing me as her son.

"Fine. I will go. But know that today is my 27th birthday. I chose Quincy as my chosen mate," I told her, as I stood at the front of the cage.

Mom looked away. Her white dress was dirty, and it hasn't been changed for the past two years. If the guards approached her, she would strangle them to death. The sedatives didn't work on calming her down either.

"I don't have any crazy son. I am childless! I am not the Luna! I am me!" She cried, and I knew that she becomes worse whenever she sees me.

"Fine. You're childless," I said, and her blue eyes calmed down.

"You're not the Luna," I told her what she wanted to hear, and she nodded.

"Good. Now, leave. I don't care about you. I want to be alone. You're all crazy and not me!" She violently pulled the chains, her wrist bleeding in the process, so I turned and left, knowing that the sight of me made her crazy.

"Alpha, what do we do? Your mother is getting worse and attempting to kill herself. The food medicine doesn't work on her," the head warden at the prison let me know.

"Hmm," I breathed heavily as my eyes landed on the Emerald bracelet that Bailey had given me.

"I hope I find my real mate to stop Mom's madness, but how do I find her? Should I invite all the single young women to the palace, but Quincy will be sad," I said, feeling troubled that Quincy will be hurt.

"Alpha," the head warden lowered his head and said, "I am afraid if we do not do something to help your mother, she could die."

Shutting my eyes as my fist clenched, I told him, "She will be fine. Continue with the food supplements. Ensure you add more psychiatric medicine to her food. I will find a way."

I walked away, shifting to my wolf and going for a run as the night fell.

Quincy's POV:

"Wake up, you slut!" I rushed into my sister's room as soon as I arrived home.

I had a deep feeling that she could be Alpha Xander's real mate. He sniffed my right hand, the same hand that I used to slap my sister.

Aurora rubbed her sleepy eyes as she sat up on the bed and glared at me. She never used to glare at me. Where did she get the audacity to do that?

"Quincy, what's going on? It's late, and you should rest," my mother said, as she entered into my sister's room.

How can I rest when the memory of how Xander sniffed my right palm flashed in my head? I had a marigold scent, but Aurora has a jasmine scent.

How do I prevent Alpha Xander from meeting Aurora? She would be 18 next Saturday. How do I stop them?

"Quincy, I know you're mad at Aurora for stealing your jade earrings, but you can punish her tomorrow. Just let her sleep tonight, and you need rest too," my mother said, as she walked up to meet me and pulled my arms.

"No, Mom. I want Aurora banished and sent away from this pack!" I growled, and my father and brother stepped into my sister's room, and gasped.

"What?"

"Quincy, how dare you say that you want your sister banished?!" My father growled at me for the first time, and I looked at him sadly.

"Dad, Aurora must leave this house. She will bring more problems to us if we don't send her away!" I spat, unable to tell my father the truth. My body was trembling, and my lips were quivering.

However, my father surprised all of us as he walked up to meet me and landed a powerful, brain-resetting slap on my left cheek, shocking us all.

"Dad!" we gasped, because my father has never raised his hand on me before, let alone knowing that I am Alpha Xander's girlfriend.

"Dad, you slapped me because of this bastard!" I growled, pointing at Aurora, and my father raised his hand to slap me again, but Kaleb rushed up to hold him.

"Dad!" Kaleb swiftly stop Dad from smacking me again, as he was also shocked by Dad's behavior.

Aurora sat on the bed with wide-open eyes, watching us. I was sure that she was happy to see me getting disciplined by our Dad.

"The next time that you order for your sister to get banished or thrown out, I will disown you and throw you out. Aurora may be a useless she-wolf or a lowborn, an Omega, but she is your sister and my daughter. Don't ever say that rubbish to me as throwing her out of this family!" My father growled at me, snatched his hand away from Kaleb's hand, and spat, "All of you get out of Aurora's room. I don't want anyone of you bullying her again. Tomorrow, I will investigate who stole your earrings."

"Get out!" Dad pointed at the door, and we all looked shocked that he was defending Aurora.

Left with no other option, we exited Aurora's room. But I was heartbroken that my dad slapped me.

"Quincy, you don't have to get angry at your Dad. He's just concerned for Aurora. If we banish her and throw her out like you suggested, that will bring shame to us. The pack members will look down on us. Just forgive your sister," Mom said, trying to comfort me. But I smacked her hand off from touching me.

"No way, Mom. You all have to choose between me and Aurora. If you won't send her away, then I will leave!" I declared and ran back upstairs to my room.

"Quincy! Quincy!" My brother came knocking on my door, but I didn't want to see him.

"Leave me alone! All of you!" I cried in my room, sobbing on my bed.

"Calm down, Quincy. I think you should forgive Aurora. Dad and Mom are right. As much as we don't like Aurora, she's their child. They never prayed for her to be useless and without a wolf. Just calm down and try to understand that Aurora will always be a part of us," Kaleb said, but that wasn't my fear.

With a trembling voice, I asked Kaleb, "What if Aurora turned out to be Xander's real mate? She will be 18 soon. I fear, she's up to something."

Kaleb's laughter reverberated at my door. "Haha! Get a hold of your insane thought, Quincy. Aurora cannot be Xander's mate. He doesn't like her to begin with."

"But she has a jasmine scent. You saw Xander sniffed my right hand. It's after I slapped Aurora, her jasmine scent was on my right hand, and he sniffed it deeply. She could be his real mate..." I sobbed on the bed.

Kaleb was quiet for a while, then he said, "I didn't know about that. You're right. Aurora's scent is like jasmine. But she's a wolfless Omega. I do not think that Xander will choose her over you. Trust him, he will not dump you, and don't worry about Aurora."

"Alright. Thanks for your words," I said, and Kaleb said, "You're welcome, sister. Sleep well and Goodnight."

The sound of my brother's footsteps leaving my door echoed in my ear. Going to use the bathroom, I paused and looked at my left cheek.

It was past midnight. My left cheek appeared red, and I knew Xander will be furious when he saw this. I sighed and went to relieve myself and have my night bath. After that, I donned a long white nightdress and moved over to the bed to sleep. My heart throbbing faster as anxiety coursed through my veins. After a while of worrying over my sister and boyfriend, I succumbed to sleep.

(Aurora's POV)A few minutes later, as I saw the time in the room was past 4 p.m., my room door swung open, and a health worker arrived, carrying a tray of my dinner."Here's your food," she said, serving it on the table next to my bed. Before I could speak, the door opened again, and Nora Edmond rushed into the room to meet me."Aurora, oh my goodness! What happened at home? Why did you attack Quincy to warrant you getting punished before the whole pack?" She asked as she rushed up to my bed to meet me.Nora wore a pink dress that fell past her knees as it was a loose-fitting dress, featuring a pair of black shoes. She was carrying a brown bag and also wearing a brown pair of slippers. She packed her long brown hair into a ponytail, as she was a thick brown-skinned girl at 17."Nora," I wiped off my tears, my heart aching painfully after getting to know that Alpha Xander and Quincy had been intimate."What's wrong, Aurora? Speak to me?" She asked, taking a step forward to meet me on

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   Chapter 11

(Aurora's POV) Waking up on the hospital bed, the thick smell of disinfectant filled my nostrils. The incident at the pack square echoed in my mind, and I discovered that I was laying on my tummy, my back exposed. "Mm," I whimpered and tried to turn, but I heard the voices in the room. "Dad, how can Aurora take your place and get flogged by Xander?" It was Kaleb's voice. He acted like he didn't care, now he was here in the hospital room, asking my father. Was he trying to know what our father has to say? Dad sighed and said, "I hope this heals faster. She doesn't have a wolf, and if it doesn't get treated well, it could leave a scar." "Mmm, you shouldn't have slapped Quincy last night. No matter what she did. Of what use is Aurora to us? Quincy is the one to become Alpha Xander's chosen mate, and you ought to have respected that position," my brother said, his voice sharp, like he was blaming Dad, like he believes that my father should have been the one to get punished. Dad sigh

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   Chapter 10

(Aurora's POV) "No way. I do not want anyone mistreating you, and as an Alpha, I do not go back on my words. Guards!" Alpha Xander summoned, and two masculine guards came in. "Yes, Alpha," they bowed their heads to him, as they were dressed in black. "Get the whip and flog Beta Adrian, twenty lashes on his back. I want him to feel the pain that he put my girlfriend through," Alpha Xander declared, unconcerned that the man he wanted to humiliate was my father, his mentor who trained him in the warriors' camp and taught him how to fight. The two guards' eyes widened, and one of them hesitated to take out his whip as he asked Alpha Xander once more, "Alpha, do you insist that we flog Beta Adrian?" A flicker of hesitation crossed the guard's face, as he didn't want to do that. "Yes!" Xander yelled. "Or do you want to get punished and suspended for failing to follow my orders? I am the Alpha's son, and I order you to flog Beta Adrian now!" The guards gulped hard, looking at us, their

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   Chapter 9

(Aurora's POV) The following Sunday, I woke up in my room, laying on the bed, and the ray of sunlight seeped into my room and landed on my face. Getting up on the bed, the event of the previous night flashed in my mind, and I frowned at the thought of Alpha Xander kissing my lips. My room door swung open, and my mother stood there, wearing a white nightdress that past her knees as she looked at me contemptuously. "Aurora, what are you still doing on the bed by this time of the day? Get up quickly!" She yelled, and only then did my eyes land on the clock. I was stunned to see that it was 10 a.m. "Oh no, I have overslept!" I gasped, getting out of the bed, and my mother looked at me disgustingly. She walked into my room, grasped my left arm, and yelled at me, "Do not think that because your father supported you last night, then that will give you the right to behave as you like. Get out and take care of sweeping the house, and do not be a lazy girl!" She let go of my hand, but I

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   Chapter 8

(Aurora's POV) My heart was still throbbing faster when I arrived home. The guards were still sleeping. I still cannot believe that Alpha Xander Roland dared to kiss me tonight. His lips still tasted sweet like grape in my mouth, and I am annoyed at myself for allowing him to kiss me. "Get it together, Aurora. I cannot be with him. He's Quincy's boyfriend!" I yelled at myself, and I heard the sound of footsteps approaching my door. "Aurora!" My father called to my attention, and I stilled as I expected him to be asleep. I wanted to pretend that I was asleep because I didn't have an explanation for him. Before I could rush to the bed and lay on it, my father threw my door open and appeared at the door. "Aurora, where are you coming from this night?" Dad asked me, his voice stern, and I am surprised that he knew that I left the house. "Dad… I…" I tried to come up with an excuse as I stood beside my bed, and he scowled. "Didn't I warn you not to leave the house, most especially in t

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   07

Alpha Xander's POV: "What's that jasmine smell?" I growled aloud as I felt drawn to this intoxicating scent. Johnny perceived her scent. It was intoxicating and very addictive, and he took charge of my body before I was given a chance to react. "Mate!" Johnny growled in my head, and I hated that my wolf was the opposite of me. I recalled that I was wearing the emerald bracelet that Bailey had given me, and it glowed greener on my right hand. "Damn it!" Even in my wolf form, Johnny was massive. He ran as fast as a deer in search of his mate. Then we arrived at the spot, and I was shocked to see Aurora hiding behind the grape tree. It was my favorite tree. What the hell is she doing here? I pondered as my brows furrowed. Annoyed, I shifted back to my human self. Thankfully, I was wearing my black boxers, as I wouldn't be comfortable for my girlfriend's sister to see me náked. "Come out of the tree?" I ordered Aurora, seeing her trying to shield her body with the white dress that
