Mag-log inAurora's POV:
"Who are you?" I asked the white spirit wolf, because I didn't have a wolf. My sister had a brown wolf, and she was strong, but since I turned 14 and couldn't shift, my parents' behavior toward me grew worse. "I am your wolf, a spirit wolf. The Moon Goddess gifted me to you to keep you safe and help you through your life journey," she said, and it felt like a dream. "Are you for real?" I asked her, doubting the reality of my situation. "Of course," the wolf said, before she came forward to meet me. "Do you want me or not?" The spirit wolf asked, and I was hesitant, not knowing if I could trust her. "Trust me, Aurora. The Moon Goddess hears all your cries," she said, and I sighed and accepted her offer. Once my hand touched the wolf's hand, it entered me like a magnetic force, and I felt a light glow in my chest until it vanished. "Spirit wolf, are you there? Spirit wolf, can you hear me?" I tried to reach out to the white wolf, but she was gone. My heart grew heavy, and I started sobbing again. "Why did you leave me?" "I have not left you, Aurora. I am in you. I am taking time to adjust to my new body. We are together in this, and I am your wolf," she said, and I felt happy. "Can I shift to you?" I asked her nervously, remembering the day of my 14th birthday when my parents had taken me out to the woods to shift. It had snowed heavily, but they wanted to know if I had a wolf or not. However, they waited in vain when I couldn't shift. They looked at me disappointedly and hoped I would shift on my 15th birthday. But seeing that I was wolfless, they focused all their love and attention on Quincy. "You do not have to think about all that," my wolf said. "What's your name?" I asked her, and she said, "Malani." "Well, Malani, my parents wouldn't allow me to go out of the house. Today is our Alpha's son's birthday, Alpha Xander Roland. My parents believe that he will propose to Quincy, my older sister. They believe she will become the next Luna, so I am forbidden from going out tonight. How about we shift tomorrow?" I asked Malani, as I was excited to shift with her. "Mmm. I do not think that's a good idea. You shouldn't weaken yourself because of your family. They don't care about you, and you should prioritize your happiness first," Malani said, and I sighed. "Mmm. Let's wait. Next weekend is my 18th birthday. I am so happy to have you, Malani," I purred, and she laughed, making my heart flutter. "You're welcome, Aurora," Malani said, before I went out of the room to find the maids to serve me dinner. After all, I had the big house to myself. Once I found the two maids, they looked away from me, gossiping in the kitchen as they were taller than me. Because of my parents' maltreatment, I hadn't been feeding well, so I was somewhat short and slim. But now, I chose to believe Malani, my wolf, and I wanted to eat as much as possible instead of sobbing over a crime that I didn't commit. I met the two maids, Lola and Linda, in the kitchen, as they were older than me and over 22 years old. "Can I have my dinner?" I asked Lola first, as she wore a brown dress and black slippers. She had long brown hair too. "Haha! Did you hear anyone talking?" she asked Linda, who laughed, "No. I cannot see anyone beneath my feet. Haha!" "Mmm," I fumed with rage, and I realized this wasn't me, but Malani. "Serve my dinner now, unless you both are fired!" I yelled at them, and they trembled, looking at me in shock, as I hadn't talked back to them before. "Fine. We will serve it," Linda murmured, as she turned and went back into the kitchen. Lola looked at me in surprise, wondering where I had gotten such bravery from. However, as I peered at Lola's face, I saw through her past, like I could see a vision at that moment. Was this Malani's doing too? I panicked, but I trusted my wolf. "You stole the jade necklace and tried to frame me for it. Why?" I asked Lola, and she trembled. "I do not know what you're talking about. Do not try to frame me," she said, and my brows furrowed. "Mmm. We shall see about that," I said, while Linda came out and handed over the tray to me. "Here's your meal," she said, but I refused to take it. "Take it to the dining table, and you will have to taste it first," I said with a smile, even though I knew she hadn't put anything dangerous in the food. Not wanting to lose her job, Linda muttered, "Fine." She swiftly marched away and went to the dining table to serve my meal. However, as Linda set the food on the silver dining table, I walked up to the first chair and sat there like a princess. "Over here," I gestured to the table, and Linda carried the tray and came over to serve me again. "Good. You can leave my sight and do not forget who is in charge here," I said with a firm voice, meeting Linda's gaze. She lowered her head and replied, "Understood." She left my side, and I picked up the spoon and started eating. My mind wandered to Quincy and Lola. I knew that Lola was Quincy's favorite maid. I caught a snippet of Linda and Lola's conversation in the kitchen. Surprisingly, I could hear them from the dining room, which was farther away from the kitchen with closed doors. "What has come over Aurora? How dare she talk to us like that? Did she forget who she is? She's an Omega too, and a wolfless one," Lola spat, subtly angry. Linda lowered her voice for fear of losing her job. "Lola, I will advise that we avoid Aurora. Didn't you notice how her voice held so much command? What if she has found her wolf? You know that her family will resume loving her, and they will punish us for disrespecting her. After all, she is part of the Stanley family." "Tsk. I doubt they want to have anything to do with that shorty. Don't waste your energy respecting Aurora. She doesn't have any wolf, and she is not above us. The Stanleys said so themselves that Aurora is a maid here," Lola said, her voice irritably. "Mmm. I still do not want to provoke Aurora. So, you can choose to provoke Aurora on your own," Linda said as she walked out of the kitchen and met my gaze. Her voice softened as she asked, "Do you need anything?" A vision reflected to me, and I saw Linda's father remarrying and casting her out of her father's home like me. "Your father is going to marry a new mate. You and your mother should get prepared to leave the house," I said, and Linda panicked. "What do you mean? My dad loves my mother so much," she said, subtly annoyed, and I smiled. "A word is enough for the wise. In just five days, you will be invited home to pack your things. The new mistress is pregnant by another man, but she pinned the baby on your father. Since he wants a son badly, she plans to kill your father and blame it on your mother. Not just that, she plans to advise your father to marry you off too. So, get prepared. It's either you move out now with your mother or face the doom that lies ahead," I said, and Linda stood staring at me in shock, as if she was already connecting the dots. "Are you sure about this? My mother and I have nowhere to go," she sobbed, and I shook my head. "I am sorry, but I cannot help you. You both have to figure a way out for yourselves. Before you leave, clear the table," I said, picking up a napkin and wiping my lips and hands. That was the message that Malani had passed to Linda, not me. Before I met my wolf, I didn't have any abilities, and now, getting to know that I could see the past, present, and future was amazing. But unfortunately, I couldn't see mine.Aurora's POV:My heart was still throbbing faster when I arrived home. The guards were still sleeping. I still cannot believe that Alpha Xander Roland dared to kiss me tonight. His lips still tasted like sweet grapes in my mouth, and I was annoyed at myself for allowing him to kiss me."Get it together, Aurora. I cannot be with him. He's Quincy's boyfriend!" I growled at myself, and I heard the sound of footsteps approaching my door."Aurora!" my father called, and I froze, expecting him to be asleep. I wanted to pretend that I was asleep because I didn't have an explanation for him. Before I could rush to the bed and lie on it, my father threw open the door and appeared in the doorway."Aurora, where are you coming from?" Dad asked me, his voice stern, and I was surprised that he knew I had left the house."Dad… I…" I tried to come up with an excuse as I stood beside my bed, and he scowled. "Didn't I warn you not to leave the house, most especially at night, to try to shift into a wo
Xander's POV:"What's that jasmine smell?" I growled aloud, as I felt drawn to this intoxicating scent.Johnny perceived her scent. It was intoxicating and very addictive, so Johnny took charge of my body before I could react."Mate!" he growled in my head, and I hated that my wolf was the opposite of me.I recalled that I was wearing the emerald bracelet that Bailey had given me, and it glowed greener on my right hand."Damn it!" Even in my wolf form, Johnny was massive. He ran as fast as a deer in search of his mate. When we arrived at the spot, I was shocked to see Aurora hiding behind the grape tree. It was my favorite tree. What the hell is she doing here? I pondered, as my brows furrowed.Annoyed, I shifted back to my human self. Thankfully, I was wearing my black boxers, as I wouldn't be comfortable letting my girlfriend's sister see me náked."Come out from behind the tree," I ordered Aurora, seeing her trying to shield her body with the white dress she held. She was stark nàk
Aurora's POV:"What just happened?" I asked Malani in shock after my father walked out of my room. His words were, "Aurora, do not get annoyed over your sister's comment about having you banished. I will speak to all of them tomorrow morning. Goodnight."My father left my room, gently shutting the door. I knew that apart from my father, my mother had the worst behavior towards me. If I hadn't seen a picture of her when she was pregnant with me, I would have thought that I was adopted and that she was not my real mother.Malani exhaled and said, "I do not know what happened, but I am certain that your sister is troubled over something.""Like what? Why would Quincy order for me to be banished over mere earrings? She just hates me, and this is no ordinary hatred. Is she afraid that I will take the Luna position from her?" I asked Malani, my hand rubbing my jaw as I thought about my sister's behavior."Maybe she is scared about you taking everything from her. After all, you have me, and
Xander's POV:The moonlight bathed the surroundings as I walked to the dungeon to find my mother. The guards bowed and welcomed me upon my arrival. When I arrived at the cage room where my mother was locked up, she was chained around her wrists and ankles. Her blue eyes fluttered awake. Her eyes narrowed with rage at me, not recognizing me as her son."Mom…" I tried calling her, but she was feral, pulling on the chains that bound her in place."Get lost!" She growled at me, not recognizing me as her son."Fine. I will go. But know that today is my 27th birthday. I chose Quincy as my chosen mate," I told her as I stood in front of the cage.Mom looked away. Her white dress was dirty and hadn't been changed for the past two years. If the guards neared her, she would strangle them to death. The sedatives didn't work on calming her down either."I don't have any crazy son. I am childless! I am not the Luna! I am me!" She cried, and I knew she became worse whenever she saw me."Fine. You'r
Xander's POV:"Greetings, Alpha Xander Roland. Happy birthday to you," Wise One Jeffrey said. He wore a red top, black trousers, and a pair of black shoes. He was a tall, slender, brown-skinned man with long black hair."What brings you here, Wise One?" I asked him, irritated to see him, and he smiled."Alpha Xander, I am here to give you the same warning that I gave to your father twenty-four years ago. Do not make the same mistake and crown the wrong woman as your Luna. Find your real mate and do what's right," he said, before turning around and leaving the banquet hall. After hearing what Wise One Jeffrey said, hushed murmurs echoed in the banquet hall. Quincy hastily pulled her right hand away from mine and ran out of the hall. However, I chased after her."Wait, Quincy!" I called her name, but she kept running away. However, I gave chase, caught her by the arms, and pulled her into a warm hug."Why didn't you stop when I asked you to?" I asked her, holding her arms firmly.Quincy
Aurora's POV:I made my way to my room on the first floor and heard Lola speaking to Linda again in her mocking tone."Wait a minute. Do not tell me that Aurora is now a prophetess. Hahaha!" Lola laughed heartily, and I glanced back as I stood in the corridor leading to my room. Lola was holding her belly. However, I caught sight of the little pup she was carrying, unaware of it.A vision came to me, and I froze as I saw my older brother, Kaleb, fụcking Lola in his room."Damn it, Lola! You're Kaleb's mate!" I growled, and Lola froze as she turned to look at me in horror."How did you know?" Lola asked, looking frightened. I laughed and walked back to the living room to face her."Do you now believe that I am a prophetess? Oh no. Poor pup you're carrying in your womb. Unfortunately, Kaleb is not ready to accept you as his mate. He is fụcking you without commitment and looking for a higher-ranking she-wolf, since you're an Omega like me."I smirked, and the color drained from Lola's f
