Aurora's POV:

"What just happened?" I asked Malani in shock after my father walked out of my room. His words were, "Aurora, do not get annoyed over your sister's comment about having you banished. I will speak to all of them tomorrow morning. Goodnight."

My father left my room, gently shutting the door. I knew that apart from my father, my mother had the worst behavior towards me. If I hadn't seen a picture of her when she was pregnant with me, I would have thought that I was adopted and that she was not my real mother.

Malani exhaled and said, "I do not know what happened, but I am certain that your sister is troubled over something."

"Like what? Why would Quincy order for me to be banished over mere earrings? She just hates me, and this is no ordinary hatred. Is she afraid that I will take the Luna position from her?" I asked Malani, my hand rubbing my jaw as I thought about my sister's behavior.

"Maybe she is scared about you taking everything from her. After all, you have me, and you are not alone," Malani replied softly.

Lying in bed as the night was still young, I sighed. "I do not want them to know that I have you. Are you sure that we can go out for a run? If I shift to you, my family will find out," I said worriedly.

"Mmm. Then we do not shift," Malani said, but I was eager to shift to her.

"Can we escape the house tonight? After all, my family is back from attending Alpha Xander's birthday party. I am curious. I want to shift to you so that I can see what it feels like," I told Malani, and she sighed.

"Alright. Let's give it a shot, but you should wait a little until the whole family falls asleep," Malani replied, and I felt refreshed since I had already slept a little.

I got down from my bed and went to sit in my working chair. Despite working as a cleaner, I wanted to pursue a course in data analysis, so I sat at my study desk and turned on my laptop.

Dad bought this for me after I had graduated from high school two years ago, and Quincy wasn't happy about it.

When I turned on my laptop, I browsed and worked for a while before I decided to add new friends on my social media account. They were all werewolves and beautiful people.

I wanted to add humans, but I was scared, especially since we were blocked from adding human folks.

There was a werewolf pack group that we all had to stick to, and I looked at the Autumn Pack group page.

My best friend, Nora Edmond, was the Gamma's daughter. Her brother, Steven Edmond, was married to Alpha Xander's younger sister. They were real mates.

So, I decided to text Nora.

Me: What's up, Nora?

It was past 1 a.m., and I was shocked when she sent me a text message back.

Nora: Aurora, are you still awake?

Me: Yeah. I am awake. I just woke up and do not feel like going back to bed, so I decided to browse online.

Nora: Okay. Why didn't you attend Alpha Xander's birthday?

Me: *Pouted.* My family refused.

Nora: Why? Why do they not bring you around? Are they not your real family?

Me: Do not bother yourself. Did you attend it?

Nora: Yes. Guess what happened?

Me: What happened?

Nora: Alpha Nico refused to let Xander marry your sister as the Luna.

Me: What? Why?

Nora: Only Alpha Xander's mate is allowed to be the Luna. Do you know that Luna Jasmine is feral because she is not Alpha Nico's real mate?

Me: What? And they hid it from all of us?

Nora: Yeah. They didn't want us to know about her. So you see? She is sick because she is not the real Luna. I feel sorry for her.

Me: So this is why Quincy got back annoyed. She nearly took her anger out on me, but I am fine now.

Nora: Hmmm. Do you think you're Alpha Xander's real mate?

Me: No way. I do not like him. He's a playboy. I am surprised he took his relationship with Quincy seriously.

Nora: I am feeling sleepy now. Let's meet up tomorrow, Sunday. I will tell you everything that happened.

Me: Alright. Goodnight.

I continued staring at my laptop screen after I closed the chat with Nora. I had a phone, and I decided to contact her the following day to find out what truly happened.

Turning off my laptop, I stood up and moved to the window to peer out. The full moon was still shining above the clouds, so I pushed the window aside and peeked out.

My room was on the ground floor, but I couldn't jump out through the window because there were some guards around.

"How do we escape, Malani?" I asked her nervously when I saw some guards on patrol.

Malani replied, "I can put them all to sleep. Do you want me to do that?"

"Wow. Alright. Let's give it a shot," I replied to my wolf, and I peeked out of the room window once more, watching the guards.

Malani took charge of my body, and a white light glowed from my hands. The guards were alerted by the ray of light that glowed from my room window. One by one, they all fell asleep and dropped to the ground.

Smiling, I walked back to the door and pushed it open gently to avoid waking up my father. Then, I slipped out of the house and made my way toward the gate.

All the guards were asleep as I rushed out of the house, dressed in a flowing white nightdress. I wanted to shift to Malani to exercise my wolf.

"Are you ready?" I asked Malani as we arrived at the woods. I had watched some of the pack members shift while they played around, running in the woods and fields ahead and taking some swims in the open river ahead of us.

"Yes, but you need to undress to shift to me. You cannot shift with your clothes on. It is a must to strip yourself nàked," she said, and I was nervous about it.

"Are you certain that there is no one else around? I do not want anyone to see me and report to my father," I informed Malani, anxious about getting caught.

"Trust me, Aurora. I have put everyone to sleep. It is an easy task," she said, while I stood aside and decided to strip off my dress in that part of the woods. There was a grape tree in front of me, so I went to the tree to hang my white dress to avoid losing it.

Once I was completely nàked, Malani took charge of my body, and I felt slightly uneasy, like I was being watched.

"Are you ready?" I asked her, but there was silence.

"Malani," I called my wolf, and she replied, "I am ready, but I am nervous too. Aurora, what if we find our mate?"

"No way. Well, I thought you said everyone is asleep, so we cannot find our mate tonight, right?"

"You're right. Let's do this," she said, and she took over my body and shifted.

I was stunned by the huge white wolf that I shifted into. When I first met Malani as a spirit wolf, I was small, but shifting to her now, I was stunned at how massive she was.

"How do you like me?" Malani purred, but we heard a deep growl from afar that made us tremble.

"That's the alpha. Oh no! We have to shift back!" Malani said, and I felt dread run down my spine as she shifted back to me before I could even go for a run.

"Damn it! What's Alpha Xander doing out in the woods at this late time of the night?" I cursed as my hands trembled to find my underwear and my nightdress.

"Hurry! He's coming!" Malani screamed, and I cursed my luck, knowing that I would be reported to my father.

Aurora's POV:My heart was still throbbing faster when I arrived home. The guards were still sleeping. I still cannot believe that Alpha Xander Roland dared to kiss me tonight. His lips still tasted like sweet grapes in my mouth, and I was annoyed at myself for allowing him to kiss me."Get it together, Aurora. I cannot be with him. He's Quincy's boyfriend!" I growled at myself, and I heard the sound of footsteps approaching my door."Aurora!" my father called, and I froze, expecting him to be asleep. I wanted to pretend that I was asleep because I didn't have an explanation for him. Before I could rush to the bed and lie on it, my father threw open the door and appeared in the doorway."Aurora, where are you coming from?" Dad asked me, his voice stern, and I was surprised that he knew I had left the house."Dad… I…" I tried to come up with an excuse as I stood beside my bed, and he scowled. "Didn't I warn you not to leave the house, most especially at night, to try to shift into a wo

Xander's POV:"What's that jasmine smell?" I growled aloud, as I felt drawn to this intoxicating scent.Johnny perceived her scent. It was intoxicating and very addictive, so Johnny took charge of my body before I could react."Mate!" he growled in my head, and I hated that my wolf was the opposite of me.I recalled that I was wearing the emerald bracelet that Bailey had given me, and it glowed greener on my right hand."Damn it!" Even in my wolf form, Johnny was massive. He ran as fast as a deer in search of his mate. When we arrived at the spot, I was shocked to see Aurora hiding behind the grape tree. It was my favorite tree. What the hell is she doing here? I pondered, as my brows furrowed.Annoyed, I shifted back to my human self. Thankfully, I was wearing my black boxers, as I wouldn't be comfortable letting my girlfriend's sister see me náked."Come out from behind the tree," I ordered Aurora, seeing her trying to shield her body with the white dress she held. She was stark nàk

Xander's POV:The moonlight bathed the surroundings as I walked to the dungeon to find my mother. The guards bowed and welcomed me upon my arrival. When I arrived at the cage room where my mother was locked up, she was chained around her wrists and ankles. Her blue eyes fluttered awake. Her eyes narrowed with rage at me, not recognizing me as her son."Mom…" I tried calling her, but she was feral, pulling on the chains that bound her in place."Get lost!" She growled at me, not recognizing me as her son."Fine. I will go. But know that today is my 27th birthday. I chose Quincy as my chosen mate," I told her as I stood in front of the cage.Mom looked away. Her white dress was dirty and hadn't been changed for the past two years. If the guards neared her, she would strangle them to death. The sedatives didn't work on calming her down either."I don't have any crazy son. I am childless! I am not the Luna! I am me!" She cried, and I knew she became worse whenever she saw me."Fine. You'r

Xander's POV:"Greetings, Alpha Xander Roland. Happy birthday to you," Wise One Jeffrey said. He wore a red top, black trousers, and a pair of black shoes. He was a tall, slender, brown-skinned man with long black hair."What brings you here, Wise One?" I asked him, irritated to see him, and he smiled."Alpha Xander, I am here to give you the same warning that I gave to your father twenty-four years ago. Do not make the same mistake and crown the wrong woman as your Luna. Find your real mate and do what's right," he said, before turning around and leaving the banquet hall. After hearing what Wise One Jeffrey said, hushed murmurs echoed in the banquet hall. Quincy hastily pulled her right hand away from mine and ran out of the hall. However, I chased after her."Wait, Quincy!" I called her name, but she kept running away. However, I gave chase, caught her by the arms, and pulled her into a warm hug."Why didn't you stop when I asked you to?" I asked her, holding her arms firmly.Quincy

Aurora's POV:I made my way to my room on the first floor and heard Lola speaking to Linda again in her mocking tone."Wait a minute. Do not tell me that Aurora is now a prophetess. Hahaha!" Lola laughed heartily, and I glanced back as I stood in the corridor leading to my room. Lola was holding her belly. However, I caught sight of the little pup she was carrying, unaware of it.A vision came to me, and I froze as I saw my older brother, Kaleb, fụcking Lola in his room."Damn it, Lola! You're Kaleb's mate!" I growled, and Lola froze as she turned to look at me in horror."How did you know?" Lola asked, looking frightened. I laughed and walked back to the living room to face her."Do you now believe that I am a prophetess? Oh no. Poor pup you're carrying in your womb. Unfortunately, Kaleb is not ready to accept you as his mate. He is fụcking you without commitment and looking for a higher-ranking she-wolf, since you're an Omega like me."I smirked, and the color drained from Lola's f
