Aurora's POV:

"What just happened?" I asked Malani in shock after my father walked out of my room. His words, "Aurora, do not get annoyed over your sister's comment to have you banished. I will speak to all of them tomorrow morning. Goodnight."

My father left my room, gently shutting the door. I knew that apart from my father, my mother had the worst behavior towards me. If I hadn't seen a picture of when she was pregnant with me, I would have thought that I was adopted and she was not my real mother.

Malani exhaled and said, "I do not know what happened. But I am certain that your sister is troubled over something."

"Like what? Why will Quincy order for me to be banished over mere earrings? She just hates me, and this is no ordinary hatred. Is she afraid that I will take the Luna position from her?" I asked Malani, my hand rubbing my jaw as I thought about my sister's behavior.

"Maybe she is scared about you taking everything from her. After all, you have me. And you are not alone," Malani replied softly.

Lying in the bed, as the night was still fresh, I sighed. "I do not want them to know that I have you. Are you sure that we can go out for a run? If I shift to you, my family will find out," I said worriedly.

"Mmm. Then we do not shift," Malani said, but I was eager to shift to her.

"Can we escape the house tonight? After all, my family is back from attending Alpha Xander's birthday party. I am curious. I want to shift to you so that I can see what it feels like," I told Malani, and she sighed.

"Alright. Let's give it a shot, but you should wait a little. When the whole of your family falls asleep," Malani replied, and I felt refreshed, since I had already slept a little.

I went down from my bed and sat in my working chair. Despite that I work as a waitress, I wanted to pursue a course in herbs, so I sat over my study desk and turned on my laptop.

Dad bought this for me after I had graduated from high school two years ago, and Quincy wasn't happy about it.

When I turned my laptop on, I browsed and researched some herbs for a while before I decided to add new friends on my social media account. They were all werewolves and beautiful people.

I wanted to add humans, but I was scared, especially since we were blocked from adding the human folks.

There was a werewolf pack group that we all had to stick to, and I looked at the Autumn Pack Group.

My best friend, Nora Edmond, was the Gamma's daughter. Her brother, Steven Edmond, was married off to Alpha Xander's younger sister. They were real mates.

So I decided to text Nora.

Me: What's up, Nora?

It was past 1 am, and I was shocked when Nora sent me a text message back.

Nora: Aurora, are you still awake?

Me: Yeah. I am awake. I just woke up now, and I do not feel like going back to bed. So I decided to browse online.

Nora: Okay. Why didn't you attend Alpha Xander's birthday?

Me: *Pouted.* My family refused.

Nora: Why? Why do they not bring you around? Are they not your real family?

Me: Do not bother yourself. Did you attend it?

Nora: Yes. Guess what happened?

Me: What happened?

Nora: Alpha Nico refused to let Xander marry your sister as the Luna.

Me: What? Why?

Nora: Only Alpha Xander's real mate is allowed to be the Luna. Do you know that Luna Jasmine is feral because she is not Alpha Nico's real mate?

Me: What? And they hide it from all of us?

Nora: Yeah. They didn't want us to know about her. So you see? She is sick because she is not the real Luna. I felt sorry for her.

Me: So this is why Quincy got back annoyed. She nearly took her anger out on me, but I am fine now.

Nora: Hmmm. Do you think you're Alpha Xander's real mate?

Me: No way. I do not like him. He's a playboy. I am surprised he took his relationship with Quincy seriously.

Nora: I am feeling sleepy now. Let's meet up tomorrow, Saturday. I will tell you everything that happened.

Me: Alright. Goodnight.

I continued staring at my laptop screen after I closed the chat with Quincy. I had a phone, and I decided to contact her the following day to find out what truly happened.

Turning off my laptop, I stood up and made a move to the window to peer out. The full moon was still shining above the clouds, so I pushed the window aside and peeked out.

My room was on the ground floor, but I couldn't jump out through the window. There were some guards around.

"Malani, how do we escape?" I asked my wolf nervously when I saw some guards on patrol.

Malani replied, "I can put them all to sleep. Do you want me to do that?"

"Alright. Let's give it a shot," I replied to my wolf, and I peeked out of the room window once more, watching the guards.

Malani took charge of my body, and a white light glowed from my hands. The guards were alerted by the ray of light that glowed from my room window. One by one, they all fell asleep and fell to the ground.

Smiling, I walked back to the door and pushed it open gently to avoid waking up my father. Then I slipped out of the house and made my way towards the gate.

All the guards were asleep as I rushed out of the house, dressed in a flowing white nightdress. I wanted to shift to Malani to exercise my wolf.

"Are you ready?" I asked Malani as we arrived at the woods. I had watched some of the pack members shift while they played around, running in the woods and fields ahead and taking some swims in the open river.

"Yes, but you need to undress to shift to me. You cannot shift with your clothes on. It's a must to strip yourself nakẹd," Malani said, and I was nervous about it.

"Are you certain that there is no one else around? I do not want anyone to see me and report to my father," I informed Malani, anxious about getting caught.

"Trust me, Aurora. I have put everyone to sleep. It's an easy task," she said, while I stood aside and decided to strip off my dress in this path of the woods. There was a grape tree in front of me, so I went to the tree to hang my white dress to avoid losing it.

Once I was completely nàked, Malani took charge of my body, and I felt slightly uneasy, like I was getting watched.

"Are you ready?" I asked Malani, but there was silence.

"Malani," I called my wolf, and she replied, "I am ready, but I am nervous too. Aurora, what if we find our mate?"

"No way. Well, I thought you said everyone is asleep. So we cannot find our real mate tonight, right?"

"You're right. Let's do this," Malani said, and she took over my body and shifted.

I was stunned by the huge white wolf that I shifted to. When I first met Malani as a spirit wolf, she was small, but shifting to her now, I was stunned at how massive she is.

"How do you like me?" Malani purred as her paws hit the ground, but we heard a loud growl from afar that made us tremble.

"What's that?" I asked Malani, afraid.

"That's an alpha wolf. Oh no! We have to shift back!" Malani said, and I felt dread run down my spine as she shifted back to me before I could even go for a run.

"Damn it! What's Alpha Xander doing out in the woods at this late time of the night?" I cursed as my hands trembled to find my underwear and my nightdress and wear them back.

"Hurry! He's coming!" Malani screamed, and I cursed my luck, knowing that I would be reported to my father.

(Aurora's POV)A few minutes later, as I saw the time in the room was past 4 p.m., my room door swung open, and a health worker arrived, carrying a tray of my dinner."Here's your food," she said, serving it on the table next to my bed. Before I could speak, the door opened again, and Nora Edmond rushed into the room to meet me."Aurora, oh my goodness! What happened at home? Why did you attack Quincy to warrant you getting punished before the whole pack?" She asked as she rushed up to my bed to meet me.Nora wore a pink dress that fell past her knees as it was a loose-fitting dress, featuring a pair of black shoes. She was carrying a brown bag and also wearing a brown pair of slippers. She packed her long brown hair into a ponytail, as she was a thick brown-skinned girl at 17."Nora," I wiped off my tears, my heart aching painfully after getting to know that Alpha Xander and Quincy had been intimate."What's wrong, Aurora? Speak to me?" She asked, taking a step forward to meet me on

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   Chapter 11

(Aurora's POV) Waking up on the hospital bed, the thick smell of disinfectant filled my nostrils. The incident at the pack square echoed in my mind, and I discovered that I was laying on my tummy, my back exposed. "Mm," I whimpered and tried to turn, but I heard the voices in the room. "Dad, how can Aurora take your place and get flogged by Xander?" It was Kaleb's voice. He acted like he didn't care, now he was here in the hospital room, asking my father. Was he trying to know what our father has to say? Dad sighed and said, "I hope this heals faster. She doesn't have a wolf, and if it doesn't get treated well, it could leave a scar." "Mmm, you shouldn't have slapped Quincy last night. No matter what she did. Of what use is Aurora to us? Quincy is the one to become Alpha Xander's chosen mate, and you ought to have respected that position," my brother said, his voice sharp, like he was blaming Dad, like he believes that my father should have been the one to get punished. Dad sigh

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   Chapter 10

(Aurora's POV) "No way. I do not want anyone mistreating you, and as an Alpha, I do not go back on my words. Guards!" Alpha Xander summoned, and two masculine guards came in. "Yes, Alpha," they bowed their heads to him, as they were dressed in black. "Get the whip and flog Beta Adrian, twenty lashes on his back. I want him to feel the pain that he put my girlfriend through," Alpha Xander declared, unconcerned that the man he wanted to humiliate was my father, his mentor who trained him in the warriors' camp and taught him how to fight. The two guards' eyes widened, and one of them hesitated to take out his whip as he asked Alpha Xander once more, "Alpha, do you insist that we flog Beta Adrian?" A flicker of hesitation crossed the guard's face, as he didn't want to do that. "Yes!" Xander yelled. "Or do you want to get punished and suspended for failing to follow my orders? I am the Alpha's son, and I order you to flog Beta Adrian now!" The guards gulped hard, looking at us, their

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   Chapter 9

(Aurora's POV) The following Sunday, I woke up in my room, laying on the bed, and the ray of sunlight seeped into my room and landed on my face. Getting up on the bed, the event of the previous night flashed in my mind, and I frowned at the thought of Alpha Xander kissing my lips. My room door swung open, and my mother stood there, wearing a white nightdress that past her knees as she looked at me contemptuously. "Aurora, what are you still doing on the bed by this time of the day? Get up quickly!" She yelled, and only then did my eyes land on the clock. I was stunned to see that it was 10 a.m. "Oh no, I have overslept!" I gasped, getting out of the bed, and my mother looked at me disgustingly. She walked into my room, grasped my left arm, and yelled at me, "Do not think that because your father supported you last night, then that will give you the right to behave as you like. Get out and take care of sweeping the house, and do not be a lazy girl!" She let go of my hand, but I

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   Chapter 8

(Aurora's POV) My heart was still throbbing faster when I arrived home. The guards were still sleeping. I still cannot believe that Alpha Xander Roland dared to kiss me tonight. His lips still tasted sweet like grape in my mouth, and I am annoyed at myself for allowing him to kiss me. "Get it together, Aurora. I cannot be with him. He's Quincy's boyfriend!" I yelled at myself, and I heard the sound of footsteps approaching my door. "Aurora!" My father called to my attention, and I stilled as I expected him to be asleep. I wanted to pretend that I was asleep because I didn't have an explanation for him. Before I could rush to the bed and lay on it, my father threw my door open and appeared at the door. "Aurora, where are you coming from this night?" Dad asked me, his voice stern, and I am surprised that he knew that I left the house. "Dad… I…" I tried to come up with an excuse as I stood beside my bed, and he scowled. "Didn't I warn you not to leave the house, most especially in t

  • Married To The Alpha I Hate   07

Alpha Xander's POV: "What's that jasmine smell?" I growled aloud as I felt drawn to this intoxicating scent. Johnny perceived her scent. It was intoxicating and very addictive, and he took charge of my body before I was given a chance to react. "Mate!" Johnny growled in my head, and I hated that my wolf was the opposite of me. I recalled that I was wearing the emerald bracelet that Bailey had given me, and it glowed greener on my right hand. "Damn it!" Even in my wolf form, Johnny was massive. He ran as fast as a deer in search of his mate. Then we arrived at the spot, and I was shocked to see Aurora hiding behind the grape tree. It was my favorite tree. What the hell is she doing here? I pondered as my brows furrowed. Annoyed, I shifted back to my human self. Thankfully, I was wearing my black boxers, as I wouldn't be comfortable for my girlfriend's sister to see me náked. "Come out of the tree?" I ordered Aurora, seeing her trying to shield her body with the white dress that
