I sat down on the chair looking at the food he cooked. I breathe in and the aroma coming from the food smells so good. I looked at him quietly, as he served me soup. I suddenly remembered when I cooked soup for Everett and his girlfriend, my hand on the table tightened as I remembered how he humiliated me, I tightened it more remembering how he embarrassed me in that boutique, hate and irritation for Everett growing and twirling in my heart as I clenched my fist.
